posted a message on What is fastest NONSEASON build to clear grifts (35s)

With this build I am clearing GR50 in 4-5 mins. Can do T10 speedruns and bounties without breaking a sweat too.

Tried Manajuma + Arachyr and found it somewhat lacking in comparison. Hex explosion is unreliable. However it should be appropriate for GR35/T8.

posted a message on REND LAG !!!! WTF BLIZZZZZZ

The lag is not related to the local computer. Watch the GR72+ clears from Alkaizer with the Rend build... He needs to pause the game every 5-10s to let it catch up... Mental... If you use any kind of DoT you are pretty much screwed.

Helltooth lag is atrocious but Rend is not much better.

@OP unfortunately there is still no solution in sight, but Blizzard is working on it. However in the meanwhile builds that rely on DoT as main source of damage are not suitable for party unless the mobs die real quick (like T10 speedruns for instance) and solo you have to be really snappy with the pause button or you are going to die a lot...

We had this discussion just yesterday, and a million times before. Can we just stop promoting this nonsense, which might lead some people to just "try stuff out" which then in turn gets them banned?

Of course scanning your memory is illegal, but not if you ask for explicit permission to do so. You give Blizzard this permission by signing the EULA at the first start of the game, otherwise you won't be able to play D3. Of course you can't just go and scan people's memory, but there are always loopholes - or what do you think how virus scanners and those things work.

A company can write what they want in their EULAs. It does not supercede a nation's laws. At least in Germany, any terms in a company's EULA, that conflict with national or case laws are nullified, even if you agreed to them. They can scan my memory based on their EULA, but they should try their best not to be caught in the act.

Please show me the German law that states that software cant scan a persons RAM after explicitly asking for permission to do so. I really do not believe such a law exists. I guess there are no virus scanners in Germany then?

The basic right to "Informationelle Selbstbestimmung". Your virus scanner comparison is lacking. Of course the virus scanner is reading my memory but it doesnt tell its company anything UNLESS I want it to send data to them regarding malware. The issue lies in sending data of myself to 3rd parties without my explicit case-by-case consent

Oh, but blizzard warden does the same thing as a virus scanner. It's not like they copy your whole RAM and send it to their headquarter to inspect it there. Ofcourse not. They simply put 'entries' into warden and warden searches for those entries. If it finds a match warden will not send back your RAM to blizzard, it will simply send back 'positive hit for x bot, by x person, at x time'. As is stated in:

THE GAME MAY COMMUNICATE INFORMATION BACK TO BLIZZARD, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION YOUR ACCOUNT NAME, DETAILS ABOUT THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM DETECTED, AND THE TIME AND DATE; AND/OR (B) BLIZZARD MAY EXERCISE ANY OR ALL OF ITS RIGHTS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, WITH OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO YOU.

They dont just randomly communicate information of your RAM back to blizzard, they simply send back this very specific information (account name, details about the program detected, time and date). They for sure dont need to ask your permission again on a case-by-case basis. You agreed once, thats enough. Similar to any other software that asks if they can send specific information back to their server for x reason, it's not like Facebook needs to ask your permission every time they use your data for commercial use.
Do you really believe a multimillion dolar company like blizzard-activision would develop software like Warden if it woudnt be legal? Do you really believe you know the law better then they do? Why if this discussion comes up nobody ever shows an example of a successful law-suit against Blizzard for scanning their memory?

    [\quote]

I would expect of every single multimillion company to try to bend the law as far as it will go and then some. Sony did it with the rootkit in their CD protection, and that is a multimillion company if there ever was one. And that is one case that we know of, because the shit hit the fan.

I would also trust my government and any other government in the planet to do exactly the same.

What I would find shocking is any entity to which I am just a number (well, for Blizzard not even that because I am a solo player, which doesn't even deserve a number) doing anything with my best interest in mind.

The angry chicken is quick, but you really don't kill anything DURING the moving, mostly at the end. I used to play a crusader that spam steed charge with the In-geom, but when I changed to a WW barb, it was a huge improve.
You kill during your moving, and even after (due to tornados). The best part is that you don't need the in-geom and the continous searching for elites/blues. You just WW till the end of the rift and only need to clic to pick the legendaries.
P.S. I am not English and I tried to be polite, so please be cool ;-)

I was disappointed with the WW barb build. Perhaps my gear was sub-optimal, but any time I gained in the rift killing trash as I went through I lost to the RG with the appalling single target damage.

Besides elites with nasty affixes were an absolute pain. With chicken I barely notice the difference between affixes. With the explosion's CC by the time they land I have SW+SH and at least 2 FWs out. In the next 3 seconds they are all gone. They are lucky to get an arcane beam or a wall out before I send them to an early grave.

And I don't need in-geom either. I cube The Furnace. With GI and a few pickup radius points I barely notice my cooldowns. The only time I miss in-geom is perhaps on the occasional pack of goblins in T10, where it takes me slightly longer because I cannot carpet the floor with FWs unless there is a good bunch of trash mobs around. Said that if I would try to do that I would probably lag to the stone age :D

And in bounties I can clear the Plague Tunnels and start finding my way to Adria before a WW barb manages to finish Maghda off :P

Either way, is about having fun. Maybe because I played Jade for a long time the play style of chicken resonates more with me. If you love WW barb, amazing :) nothing better than finding a build you really like for farming :)

I used to main a WD in season 2 and I change to crusader because the lack of fast movement. After your words, I watched some videos, and I have to admit that the chicken is very, very fast. You are right, with the hex changes and the new legendary you don't need the In-geom. Good point. The only problem I see is that if you want to do high GRs, you need to change to another build, new items, etc.
I am very lazy now, and the best thing of the WW barb is that the farming and the GR builds are very similar (and I saw a guy doing a 72 solo barb GR). Anyway, after this talk, I am tempted to remove the dust of my old WD and give it a try ;-)
Thanks for the talk. Good luck and happy farming!

Yeah... Any HT build is definitely NOT group friendly. HT lag is a thing, it really is. Which means the entire set and ancillary are useless for this purpose.

Besides the build itself is not useful for pushing GR.

You can however equip Scrimshaw + TotD (Zombie Bears) or SuWong Diviner (Acid Cloud) for pushing solo GR. However past GR62 is hell. If the rift is any good the lag will obliterate you. Pushing GR in off-peak times helps a bit, but the problem is still there.

On the other hand as you point out WW gear can be used in group easy. I have seen many 4 player coop parties with a HotA and a WW barb, and the main difference was the weapons (the guy was using VIT and AD on them, no CDR or iAS).
Horses for courses I guess. I play solo and I am a bit of a conformist (kind of a pre-requisite this is to play solo in D3 without getting frustrated at every step) so WD suits me quite well :)

I mean some thing like a normal rift torment 8 for soul / grift key stacking.

As Demon Hunter, there are 2 super efficient builds
    Natalyas/Danetta combo - T8 rifts in 1-2min - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fNspRosQSo
    Standard UE Mulitshot Build - T9 Rifts in 2-3min - http://www.diablofans.com/builds/57537-2-3-standard-unhallowed-fire-multishot

I used the Danetta build for T8/bounties until I had my chicken up and running :)

I can vouch for that one... Using Omryn's Chain in cube also triggers BotT (and mobs do not bother you during those bounties where you only want to get from A to B as fast as possible.)

A few variations are possible to adapt to your playstyle/preferences but is generally fast and very laid back.

But "beware" thats just how i do things :-).

Never tried the Ulianas Monk Setup for solo. Sadly the monk gameplay died for me with classic.

In my experience for 'farming' you need a build that can do it as hassle free as possible, because you are going to be doing it a lot!; and the only way to do that is pick a build with an undemanding playstyle and over-gear it.

So, in my opinion you are doing it right :)

@OP for Monk, non-season, I'd say generator build is the fastest atm.

I do not play seasons myself, but this one apparently is fast TX capable, so it should be good for GR45-47.

Said that solo 'speedfarm' builds are really gear intensive, ancient weapon(s) are pretty much a must (if you don't have a ton of paragon points already to make up for the loss) and require high VIT and/or serious damage mitigation to avoid random one-shots (which add to clear times and make you lose pool).

This is the monk build I used to chain GR50s. Is essentially an attempt to Quin's generator monk:

I don't have the gear or the time to push GR69+ solo but would quick and easily clear GR50. You can replace Inner Sanctuary with Dashing Strike for extra mobility. I was just playing it lazy last time I used that toon.

Gems, stat preferences etc you can check on Quin's post. In my experience is OK to use CHC/CDR or CHC/CHD on rings in circa 50 GRifts. Of course the higher you go the more the AD shines, but for speedfarm is all right.

Caveat: Generator monk is carpal tunnel wrenching, which is why I ditched it for speedfarming. Not as bad as zDPS used to be, but still is not a laid back relaxed playstyle.

    Thats my solo Hota Build.

Thats the hero setup and build for this. Just missing the focus and restraint in that link cause they are on my WW at the moment. Just ensure that you have enough pools on that build. I'm using Bane of the trapped, Pain Enhancer and Bane of the Powerful. An other option could be Taeguk instead of the powerful, but when i do solo rofts i'm to lazy to keep up the stacks of the taeguk.

I do a 51/52 Rift within 3 Minutes relating to the Mobdensity with this build.

    Thanks for sharing :)

Hmmm... I need quite a few pieces of gear to match that (including a better gavel, mine has RCR instead of VIT). I am 3/8 ancient armour pieces.

Will try to get some party GR60's see if I can get better gear and keep fowling the GRs for now :) 50bn/h would be amazing!

Well asking this means you must define the term speedrift a bit more.

Which Riftlevel are you talking about?

I do 51/51 within 3 Minutes with my HotA for example and i do get an overall amount of ~50b an hour.

Hmmm... interesting... Could you share a few pointers on build/playstyle please?

I am doing 3min GR47s at the moment with my HT/Manajuma chicken build but my exp/h is not really as high as yours.

Besides I have no previous experience with barb except Raekor build w/Vile Ward, a playstyle I never found agreeable...

posted a message on I Broke Diablo for a bit with this density. GR70

Lag is particularly bad with WD HT but is not limited to that class/build, I have experienced it with WW barb and generator monk too; in the EU servers seems to be worse (I say seems because is a perception, and perception can be horrendously wrong) in the evening too.

However removing AD is not really a workaround. As Wyand pointed out is a serious cripple. Doesn't matter much to me because I am not pushing GRifts at the moment, so all it does it add to my clear times (to what extent is difficult to quantify because around GR55 and solo density is really the factor, things die real quick regardless) but higher up the ladder, when people are pushing for that extra edge to speed through GR65+ for exp and glory and clear 72+ you may as well ask them to remove a ring.

Long time soloer here struggling to find people to do T10 ubers in non-season softcore.

Everyone I know has either moved on or is playing seasons.

I log in the evening (past 5PM GMT).

I have finally resigned myself to do split bounties with randoms in pubs but ubers is just too much aggro this way. Tried joining a clan but everyone is playing seasons too.

If we could get a group of 4 together to do 100 or so uber runs (25 machine sets each) it would be splendid.

If you are interested my battle tag is ApoAlaia#2850.

    Thanks for reading.
