It seems very clear that the trap Diablo mentions is the wedge he managed to push between the members of the council. Where there was once unity, there are now cracks.

you've done well showing your ability to sit on your high horse not disproving it. That goes both ways bud. tytyty
You supposedly being a psychology major, I do assume you have had some courses in filosophy of science? Considering we're basically using Lakatos' system of advanced falsification you should know that verification is a feat impossible in the field of science. All we can do is provide conclusive proof that something is NOT true, because then we wouldn't need the faulty reasoning of induction. That's why the demarcation criteria (criteria of what is science, and what is not) is such a hard problem.

To get back to your quote, astrology hasn't been conclusively disproven either. Does that mean you believe there could be something to it?

Question is how many lives will be saved from people who stayed in playing Diablo 3 instead of going out and getting mugged/killed, hit by a car, or slipping and cracking their skulls. ^.^

How would PvM vs PvP be possible? PvM by definition cannot take part of such a battle.

posted a message on I don't understand why people think the skill system is butchered...
People dislike the fact that permanence has been removed from character builds, because now they won't be able to lord their supreme builds over others for quite as long. This seems silly and childish, but for someone who's whole life revolves around the game, it could be a big letdown ^^

EDIT: By the english, obviously foreign.

Actually foreign people often speak perfect English. Such as British, or Americans... ;o

Remember, everything outside north America isn't "foreign" for everybody -.-

posted a message on Is it worth it to pick up White items?
Blizzard literally said "It won't be worth it to pick up white items"

Though this leaves much room for interpretation (? o.O) I take it to mean no, you won't want to pick them up :3

posted a message on It's all about confidence isn't it?
First off, for someone not interested in Diablo 3, you seem to be keeping a tight eye on the fansites. You sir, need a new hobby =)

Next let's examine the fallacies and false assumptions in your post =)

Why would this forum contain the oldest/best/most faithful followers? I'd personally say the old style battle.net forums are at the very least a very good match.

Also, where on earth are you getting this "a significant portion of the fanbase" from? The ones posting on any forum are but a small minority of their total customers, and if you pay attention only a handfull of, admittedly very vocal, people are screaming bloody murder about the games development and have done so since pretty much the beginning. This is the same for the development of every game. All the rest is simply anxious for a release.

Now to adress your concerns about offline/online play. How is this different from a game like WoW? Atleast with Diablo 3 they have the possibility to patch in all the server side activities to be handled on our own pc's, making it offline play, should that dark dark day ever come. Reasons why they wouldn't do this are basically limited to; armageddon, gouverments collapsing into anarchy, or a world disaster whiping out civilization as we know it. In all these cases, I wouldn't be all that worried about the fact I can't play Diablo 3 anymore.
