Made a mistake in my post. I meant Quest items and BOP, not BOE.

The 85+ BoE system seems fine to me. It'll help control keep the market less saturated with items and keep the costs higher.

I do agree that the identification system in D2 was quite annoying. If it does carry over to D3, even with no TPs, Blizzard has assured us it would still be easy to travel as there will be more WPs, etc... But I do hope the identification system does not return.

I prefer the Tetris style. But I understand why a lot of people hate it. I think the new system is a very good middle point that take's both mindsets into consideration.

I apologize if this was stated already (I didn't read through the entire thread) but Blizzard did state when they first announced the game that there would be no BoE or BoP. The only type of BoE items would be Quest like items. Essentially, it'll be very similar to D2.

They haven't even done a beta or announced the 5th class. I highly doubt it's this year.

Hum I'm not sure but I think female Monk. But only if the female version is beautiful.. without beard I mean :)

Female monk is going to have a bigger beard than the male!

I hate the whole (your character is weakened for x amount of time). There's no way they would do this as they want to keep you in the action and goes against their goals. I thin a small xp loss would suffice.

posted a message on Discussion: The last class is NOT a ranged class
    Quote from "wtfomgbbq" »
I don't recall hearing that. From what I remember the Barb is the only returning class in D3.

I agree with your logic that the last class will not be a 100% ranged type of character. But as stated many times I think he/she will have a balance between the both. Being able to use some sort of ranged weaponry or ranged skills and having a good melee attack or good melee skills.

I also like the bard idea. I think Blizzard could pull of something like that. As to if its the next class or not we will have to wait and see.

Well I misspoke just a little bit. Jay said that it may be one from the older games. If you read the below, it sounds like they're already working on the expansion classes and they're still trying to make a decision on which will be the 5th class for the final game and which will be the expansion classes.

You can read the below from here:

IGN: Have you confirmed how many unrevealed classes there are, to round out the entire party?

    Jay Wilson: There's one more.

IGN: You did mention that it's being revealed next year, and that it's someone from the previous games?

Jay Wilson: I did say that. I probably shouldn't have said that, because we're not sure that's going to be the case. It's just logical, that's what we tend to do. But it may or may not. I'm not gonna answer it, anyway? [laughs]

Now logically, the only two classes left from d2 are Druid and Amazon. So i belive that the next class for D3 will be a mix between thoose two. Im thining a ranger with elemental abilities, and summonig powers, but also a darker character. Kind of like a Theif, you know with the hoods and the cloaks.

Jay Wilson confirmed that the next character is a character from one of the previous Diablos.

Guys, this is not a thread about "What do you think the next class is?" but more "Do you agree or disagree with my logic, and why?"

I do agree with your logic. This is why I think it will be a bard or a druid. The wizard provides the ranged abilities with the bard probably having some ranged capability in terms of seven sided strike (being able to start an attack from distance). Because of that, I think the 5th class will be more hybrid like with something such as an Amazon coming in an expansion.

posted a message on A way to make your character totally unique, WITHOUT STAT POINTS!
They said that runes will allow a ton of flexibility in terms of customizing your character. In addition to that, they said they will itemize accordingly due to the automatic stat point system. Also, don't forget the skill system. And of course, don't discount the fact that they haven't shown us everything.

So my answer to anybody who is disappointed at the automatic skill system, is that they are taking this into consideration with itemization, runes, and any other system they have yet to reveal to still allow a very large diversification to your character so you still can be quite different which will allow for more builds than D2 even had.

posted a message on With town portals gone...
    Quote from "purelog1c" »
Wow, nice to see what you guys think. I guess it isn't such a bad thing
after all. My question is, if I'm running a dungeon and my bag is full, how
am i supposed to free up space, assuming I was only halfway through
meaning there is still some more loot to be found. Must I walk all the way to
a waypoint just to finish the dungeon? They have to implement some type
of magic stone thing or starter skill with the same effect as a town portal
only now you have to choose the right time to use it, also assuming it
wont be able to be used in combat. Any thoughts?

I think saying, "must I talk all the way to a waypoint" makes it sound like you're thinking in terms of D2. They did say they were adding quite a bit more waypoints and are still thinking of ways to make it easier to travel to town. For example, exit points in dungeons. I'm sure there will be more ways than just those 2 as well.

posted a message on Am I the only one who thinks there are too much effects ?
    Quote from "ShadowGoat" »
The effects look a little overdone, but then again your just watching and not playing. If they redo things like Spider Totem... I'm sure they will be able to catch issues like this, if it is an issue in the first place.

Good point. I played the demo and I honestly didn't even notice the screen shake and did feel pretty immersed in the game. When I was in line for playing, I did watch people playing and everybody was pretty immersed. Everybody's faces looked like they were so into the game and people were sad when they had to finish playing.

I don't think it's overdone at all from having played it. I think it's great already and we still have 2 more years of polishing. Like I said, I was in WOW beta, and even in the beta, a lot of effects were polished.
