That model is horribly disappointing, but its clearly in an incredibly early stage. I wouldn't be surprised if they bulk it up after the initial details are added. Many times a model will be built around the skeletal structure and added upon from that point.

The Monk in D3 is clearly Shaolin Monk. I don't see anything about European Monk about it.
