posted a message on now what?
I think its because Jay Wilson is taking Diablo too far from its roots....

I like alot of his changes. But his whole escapade to make it "an awesome experience for everyone" is pissing me off. I'm not digging the way they are making all classes skill spammers and dps. I'm not digging how the barbarian is now a skill spammer and not a badass melee attacker. I'm not digging how the WD's pets suck and are intended to be used to absorb 1 or 2 hits so the wc can throw a flaming skull....

I do like alot of the changes but I HATE when basic melee attack becomes useless.

    Quote from ScyberDragon

despite the name, the wizards resource is actually just like wow hunter's focus so I hope they go with something different.

Since shes supposed to be possessed and dark themed...

I think her resource system should be life driven. It should cost HP to cast skills, and she gains a passive life drain. Maybe give her a Passive that lets her regain X amount of life per kill.

I don't know much about Tenacious D and Jack Black, but I'm sure you Sabvre are doing much, much than the guy, so go there and show him how it's done!

    ?

Doing more than Jack Black or Scyber? If it was Scyber I wasn't disrespecting him I was disrespecting Jack Black. That man is worthless (Jack Black is Tenacious D)

And I get even more angry that I'm not going.

It balances out. I get even more glad that I'm not!

Jack Black is seriously the epitomy of the phrase "douche bag." He is a horrible artist. A horrible song writer. A horrible comedian... and just outright sucks. The whole fact that they are bringing him to blizzcon makes me doubt Blizzard.

My prediction: June 29th, 2011. Perhaps slightly sooner but no later. It just makes sense.

How come no one has mentioned that quote recently where Bash said something like "Who says its coming out in 2011 ;)"?

SC2 required a 2 month beta due to 2 factors:

    1.) Test Battlenet2.0
    2.) Balance for Tournament play

Diablo 3 may come with PVP yes... but IMHO Diablo was NOT ever designed to be a PVP game. This has been and always will be a PVE game with PVP as an add-on.

This being said... who is to say that they even require an open beta? Why couldn't they release it in time for the holidays and draw the Xmas revenue?

Blizzcon is seriously the biggest possible waste of money ever. Lets spend $100 a ticket + flight + lodging + food just to get news on blizzard games (which you get online during and after the event) and to play demos (which change drastically by release anyways).....

As we know in Diablo 2, the aim for the amazon was to make a very versatile character, skilled with the bow and the javelin.

I prefer the bow and two short(er) swords. And make some fun skills with them. With the new type skill system in Diablo 3, I can see the placement of skills for both kinds of weapons feasible and promising. As apposed to the typical one or the other type of character such as the javazon or the bowazon we typically saw in Diablo 2.

I'm aware that the quick weapon swap feature has been removed for Diablo 3, but I don't think this takes away from being able to use two different weapon classes for a character. Either you are forced to place your secondary set of weapons in your inventory or you leave them back in your stash in town. As the game progresses in difficulty I see everyone having a secondary weapon for their respective classes anyways for all sorts of reasons. One of those having to do with monster resistances.

This is my preferred kind of fifth class. I am very much apposed to "fifty" redundant kinds of dodge skills like the amazon's passive tree. I hate that and it takes a lot of the fun out of the anticipation of getting new skills because they are all seem the same.

you already won't get your class. Bashiok already stated that the only dual wielders will be monk and barb.

posted a message on SC2 - Won't be able to play with people from other regions

Legally there was no problem to have it in any other B.net game, even up until today. Perhaps if they want to have microtransactions or some such, but there's been no talk of that.

In any case, unless the barrier is actually technical and thus out of reach for Blizzard and free to confess they cannot accommodate it, we'll never hear the real reason.

You are actually very incorrect in that phrozen. Blizzard has stated several times that they intend to have microtransactions. They are making a blizzard store similiar to the apple app store, but instead for sc2 maps. Basically they want to promote a custom map industry and make studios that publish mods.

DOTA on Wc3 was so vastly popular, that they figure if they release such a powerful editor + engine, they can make a whole new industry (and obviously take a cut of sales)

Thats the way D2 was too, and hell no they didnt just skill spam.Watch the video again man, the first fight he used three skills occasionally. Hed leap attack into a pit of creatures then slash some down and shockwave them to stun then smack them down with his attack. Thats called strategy my friend not skill spamming. And as i recall in D2 you used WW most of the time or double swing depending on your preference. and by the way they use those videos to show off skills they're supposed to use skills as much as possible -_- ...

I never said i liked how d2 had the barbarian work.... in general i think all hack and slash games need a character that actually USES the melee attack. I don't care if you toss out a stomp to stun and then pound on them using melee... but melee needs to have a use!!!

Why the hell use Cleave, Bash, WW are not melee ?

because cleave should be a passive.... Bash and WW are good, all these stomps and shockwaves and crap make me think they are building the barbarian to be another wizard type char. I mean ffs... have you watched the videos... all they do is skill spam just like the wizard....

I see where they are going with this, and for some I think people would enjoy the variability in the characters. But for me, the weapons will always "fit" the character that I am playing, because most of the time that is reason for playing the particluar character. Example, I will play a Barbarian in order to use 2h swords, axes, mauls, etc...but if I want to use a wand/staff it would be a necro or sorc...I dunno if that makes sense, but thats how I feel. Though it wouldnt stop me from playing around some :)

I agree mostly; however, the conjuration wizard DOES need to be able to break the common mold. This is the true battle mage !!!
