    Keep in mind that vanilla beta saw major additions, removals and overhauls. Blizzard can definitely release a beta with some kinks to be ironed out.

    It's likely that we will get something similar to the Blizzcon build. The Build that Robby's datamine thread discusses has the crusader disabled and sounds like a near PTR build.

    I don't understand you people....

    Blizzard just gave us:
    Character permanence - you can't just flip item builds at the drop of a hat.
    Unique characters - FOTM item builds will be less frequent.
    No hacks/bots/third party sites
    Chance of balanced PVP - there can be assumed strength progression based on time played vs statistical chances and std deviation.
    Defined character progression - you can't just stack your little brother/ neighbor on their first day playing.
    Additional reason to party up - 4 friends playing together is 4x the drops.

    Yet you guys still whine and bitch. You guys will never be happy with this game.... if blizzard changed this to an exact D2 clone, people would scream about all the problems that were part of D2....

    I think you guys don't see all the good in this...

    1.) No bots
    2.) No third party sites
    3.) Sub prime drops will now appear good as players are now on an even playing field. No more players such as Athene that get fed and make everyone else think their gear sucks. No more trade scams/tycoons.
    4.) PvP can finally find a center of balance. Just like esports, everyone has an even playing field. No ability to use real money.. no ability to use suicidal connections to stack up.

    Trading is fun for some people.

    Sometimes, the thrill of a great drop is the items value on trade. If I find a GREAT barb legendary, I'm not gonna play barb.....so it's useless to me. Instead of being able to trade it for a great WD or Monk item, I'm stuck with my best drop ever collecting dust....can't even give it to my buddy for free.

    There's a middle ground here.

    Trading end game items is the path of least resistance. Especially when you eBay all your gear on your next rage quit ruksak ;). Now someone else just went from zero to sixty in 1 second flat.

    Again we just eliminated spam, botting, account compromises, third party sites, and overall pay to win.

    5.) FINDING items is actually the end game like it was meant to be....

    Damn, no more stash space?

    Maybe we should enter you into a Diablo 3 rendition of Hoarders.

    Do you play Hardcore?

    Occasionally... I got my monk to 56 when I lost him to a douche bag party member going afk.

    My wife makes it hard for me to game, and losing 20-30 hours with of investment was difficult for me to get over.

    It's official... ROS isn't until April at the earliest. FAQ definitively states that RoS will not ship with the AH.

    Also means that I won't be playing Diablo (I'm guessing even vanilla) on my ps4 until after that point :(.

    Are there any plans to improve your Net Code? So it won't be Lagmageddon when there's a lot happening on screen?

    Don't blame blizzard for your GPU not cutting it. If frame rates drop due to a lot happening on screen... that means your computer isn't rendering it fast enough... not that the servers cannot calculate fast enough.

    So you're saying that there is no problem at all with their net code? Rubber bands coming from my end then? That's why the fastest moving/attacking builds have rubber banding issues and almost every patch they say they address it. C'mon I can't be crazy here.

    You said when there was a lot happening on screen...

    Anyways rubberbanding occurs when the client does something that the server disagrees with. If you cut a corner too fast, the server might not capture one position in the turn, therefore causing the server to believe you straight lined it through an impassable object.

    However, the biggest cause of rubberbanding is dropped or delayed packets. As I was explaining earlier, the server calculates things sequentially.. say the client sends packets ABCDEF and G all representing different positions in travel. However, your wireless network drops packet D (which TCP/IP will resend). When the server receives packet E, it's not going to understand how the math adds up for you to somehow arrive at E, and it will send you back to C.

    Note that the faster the build, the faster packets are sent.. meaning dropped packets have less time for TCP/IP to resend them before the next packet gets received.

    In summary, rubberbanding is USUALLY caused by delayed or dropped packets. Blame your hops from your PC to Blizzard instead of Blizzard. Also, NEVER play on a wireless connection, as wireless always has packet loss.

    I'd like an answer on the Release date for PS4's version of D3, please why the hold up.

    Evidence is pointing to the ps4 version shipping directly as RoS.

    Though, it would be rather interesting if enemies had particular resistances, and I don't think it needs to be as complicated or spread out by difficulty...why not attach a slight elemental resistance to particular elemental monster affixes on elites?

    Molten/Fire Chains = Fire Resist
    Frozen = Cold Resist
    Electrified = Lightning Resist
    Arcane Enchanted = Arcane Resist
    Plagued = Poison Resist
    Desecration = Holy Resist

    Interesting idea. Although, Desecrator is Physical damage, not Holy. Arcane/Holy are treated the same for resistances.

    http://www.diablowiki.net/Desecrator

    http://www.diablowiki.net/Holy_Damage

    /nitpick off

    Early release builds already had resists based on affix. I remember my wd taking longer to kill plagued elites die to the poison dagger I had.

    "All items with a visual appearance are currently planned to be eligible for Transmogrification, including Legendary and Set items. In order to use a specific visual appearance, you’ll first need to unlock it; once unlocked, however, that appearance will be available to all heroes on your account. Common, Magic, and Rare item appearances will unlock as you level up the Mystic, while Legendary and Set item appearances will unlock only after you’ve identified them."

    So, does this mean that classes will be able to wear (visually) the armor sets belonging to other classes? For example, if I unlock an armor set on my barb, can I then use that set (visually) on my DH? That would mean I could transmog my DH helm to a WD mask. That seems a bit off to me.

    No. It only means you could wear that that leather bra (tier 1) on your she barb with max level stats.

    I chose the 4 player couch co-op, as I fondly remember getting my non gamer wife to play through the game with me. The most annoying party of the experience was having to play on two different desk tops spanning 2 floors.

    PS3 ftw.
