Spore was one of the most disappointing games ever made...
Sims is okay but wears its welcome out too, unless you're really really into that kind of stuff.

Quote from "Zyon" »i agree, to most ppl a f2p mmorpg with cash shop and other pay features is more appealing than the monthly subscription of wat wow offers
1. more spare time, if u subscribe to wow, for say 2 months, most likely u'd want to make best use of the 2 months by playin nonstop so u squeeze every bit of juice out of the buck u paid for, leading to: parents yellin, reduced schoolwork quality, reduced reallife social
2. 'u may pay' is always better than 'u must pay'
ps: wat u guys think the next mmorpg will b? i vote on 'World of Starcraft' lmfao

Quote from "Phrayed" »What are you talking about?
I'm the one arguing that it is a fantasy game... That you SHOULD be able to kill Diablo with all of these crazy skills and spells that are in the game.
Diablo isn't a realistic game. His original point was that Diablo looks like a 'pussy' when he dies to martial arts or toads... And I simply do not see why that is the case, which is why I am questioning his complaining about the monk and his skill set.
Quote from "Phrayed" »I'm simply trying to debate what you are saying... Because it makes no sense.
You like Diablo 2, you can kill Diablo in that game by summoning wolves... Does that really seem like Diablo is a 'pussy' if he cannot kill some wolves? And you can kill him with martial arts as well... There are several skills I named that seem like it make the Prime Evils look weak for not being able to overcome them.
Yet now that very similar things are in Diablo 3, you don't like it. Seems hypocritical to me, like you are just looking for something to complain about.

There will be paid services for both Diablo III and Starcraft II but no way in hell will we have to pay for Battle.net itself.

SC2 will have loads of them, WoW has even more, Diablo III is sure to follow. I think it's safe to say SC2 and DIII's achievements are going to be more interesting and exciting to attain than WoW's though

If those filetypes aren't allowed, you can ask an admin.. I don't know if they would mind or not, but it takes only one or two checkboxes for them in admin cp to enable it.
Alternatively, you could upload those files somewhere and provide a link directly to the html file, again easier than zipping/extracting/opening.
Just my 2 cents.
edit: good job on the game.. not my thing but impressive nonetheless.

I don't really feel Diablo 3 needs a mercenary system, but if there is one it should be a hell of a money sink, at the very least.

Bahaha, good one.
I'm sure we'll see more of these threads each time something insignificant on the Diablo III website is updated.
Imagine the "uproar" that would be caused if the purple clickable gem with no apparent purpose is changed to green.. or any other color.

On the contrary, his avatar is quite awesome.

We don't know any specifics of launch day yet.. the advantage of a retail copy is that game stores have midnight launches for games this big (think Burning Crusade launch). You could be home and ready to play with a full copy by 1-2am.
If Blizzard offers a download at the exact same time as the midnight launches in game stores, then it might be a worthy alternative. Even then we don't know if the d/l speeds will be any good considering how many people will be hammering the servers.
Personally.. it's Diablo III. Downloading this game just doesn't feel right - I may even go as far as to get a Collector's Edition just to have all that good stuff in my hands while it installs.

Assassin's Creed
Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena (one of the most underrated game series ever)
World In Conflict (pretty much the best RTS of the last decade)
Burnout: Paradise (a *lot* of fun, even on the PC)
Dead Space
edit: spore is a failure. it got miserably boring about an hour or two into the final (space) stage, to the point of uninstalling. many people will share this opinion with me.

There was a question asked about this during the Q&A panel, I think one of the developers responded that it is something they are hoping to include at ship, if not in a later patch.
