(in case the image doesnt load - showing isnt in my preview)

I tend to leave my D3 running in the background and occasionally you see something that just sticks out, and this was just bad from the game >.<

    The image didnt work :(

Someone in the guild died, just as someone got the achievement "Dead is Dead". Just ...!

    Quote from ruksakยป

Wish I could join ya (over 40 dude checking in), but I'm strictly on the US side of HC. Best of luck to you, however. Season 4 is going to be one helluva ride for HC enthusiasts.

What is changing to make it better/worse,

Almost all the posts I have reading have only been commenting on babycore mode.

posted a message on Returning Play with comments about group play.

I must have been lucky in some of the HC groups I have been in where as soon as the rift is closed it is reopened, and then people are panicking about the amount of XP they are missing out on.

Might not be so much a worry in SC as death is only a break not a restart.

Reading more and remembering old forgotten classes, what about a bard with its unique way of combat, usually with a 2h staff or a 1h sword and supporting with inspiring songs.

2 classes from Guild Wars spring out.

    Mesmer, the destroyer of minds

Paragon, Ranged caster using spears to throw, and turns in to a phalanx participant for close combat.

Though I also like the theme of an engineer, turret and guns based character, or taking it to gunslinger route.

But warlock, no ta, this is a demon based game, and a character that controls demons would seem out of place. Necro would be a better fit, but would clash with WD

posted a message on wtf?!?! plvl req for torment difficulties...

Would definitely agree on that point, the amount of times in games such as WoW when people are asking for perfect gear, completions etc, and then you check them out and they dont look like they have seen an end game dungeon, let alone a raid...

As I will be on HC the PLvl could be difficult to attain if you get an unlucky sequence of rifts and become demotivated as its not the XP/Hour, but the survivability per rift, also high GR also means higher chance of death.

I would say rather than individual GRift attainment, more the maximum that you have achieved in a group or solo play.

But then, being HC I wont play much on public due to the potential to be PK'd, at least for the first 2-3 weeks anyway.

In a soft core setting I do think the levels could be much higher, as deaths in GR do allow you to push harder and higher.

Something else that they could introduce to combat leeching is that you must damage or heal (players other than yourself) for a minimum certain percentage of the dungeon to be able to qualify for XP after the first rift level, and like on GR lock the gear/spec to what the player uses on entry.

posted a message on 2.3.0 Crusader Builds and More!!!

Be prepared for death, and when it happens it wont hurt as much.

Defense is more important than offense, though you still need to be able to kill things.

Whenever in a group, your survival is more important than anyone else and it is YOUR responsibility to keep yourself alive, not someone else.

I enjoyed HC after switching midway through season 3, the hard part is getting to 70, when there the fun begins, and also usually by that point there will be people you can level share with so if either of you die it is quicker to boost the whoever died back up.

I have boosted several people recently to 70 and even without XP armor and Gem of XP it still only takes about 2 hours (max) via boosted T6 instances.

In terms of levelling, if you haven't played HC before I would suggest levelling in adventure mode to start with and clear the first 4 chapters to unlock torment levels, but I would only play hard or expert until you feel comfortable as the XP reduction is more beneficial than increasing the risk of dying.

In terms of build I will be probably playing a defensively stacked shield bash build, unless one of the new ones is as enjoyable to play.

If you are going to play an end game spec then it can be beneficial to level doing it, even if its sub-optimal as at least you can get used to the rotation and what you need to do to kill and when to run and hide.
