I am probably going to go Necro again just because I am still a little burnt out on the other classes and hopefully get my final Conqueror stash tab. I might go for a MS DH again later into the season if I still have interest.

Its far from that easy to stop a botnet attack, the biggest botnet ddos attack that I recall was about 100,000 internet devices attacking the DNS hosting servers for a day. Most of the IP addresses that would be logged would also be from innocent people that have been infected with a virus on their computers or internet connected device and have become a drone for a botnet controller.

They only released two sets of wings with patch 2.4.1 the Falcon Wings from the Mysterious Chest in Act 4 and the Cosmic Wings from Whimsydale, but only from the portal from a Rainbow Goblin and not the version that opens with the staff.
Apr 1, 2016lefaivre posted a message on Poll: Are you going to play season or non-seasonal?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
1) I don't sprint for a goal in the game, but I will be aiming to get the stash tab.
Anyways, here are some things that'd be interesting to know with regard to everyone's choice:
- Are you going to make a sprint for the stash tab or are you even going to skip that?
- What did you play in the previous five patches (season or NS)?
- What's your reason to play season or non-season in 2.4.1, respectively?
- What factors are most important for your decision (what streamers do, what your clan does, what your friends list does, where the perceived majority of players is, where leaderboards are easier to reach/more contested, or what this poll tells you ;-))?
2) I have played in each season to get the bonuses they have offered.
3) Generally to play with my friends that are playing in the season.
4) Generally its a combination of my first three answers. I will play either seasonal or non-season depending on where my friends are playing, but in the upcoming season I will be picking a class for seasonal to try and get to the stash tab the quickest. Before Season 5 my class pick was based on what I felt would be interesting, but right now I want to make sure I get that stash tab.

If players really wanted to do that all they have to do is make the choices to play that way. Don't like legendary or set items, just disenchant them. Don't like the idea for rifts don't play adventure mode. Don't like paragon levels don't spend the points.
The other thing you don't have the option already is the cubed items and I could understand a request to disable those bonuses even if it was just an "ignore" button beneath each of the three bonuses.

Yeah at that difficulty they could might aswell have gone with full season journey.
I think they overshot for that benefit. Dropping it one step in the journey would have been fine with me.
I agree, maybe next season if not enough people get it the requirements will change.

If they went back to grinding for gear I think the difference between the people who have bots and don't would be even bigger so I don't understand a request like this. If the game was based purely on attributes it would be one thing, but the game is based on the bonuses from legendaries so if you take those away there will be an even bigger rift between those that can play a lot and those that can't. Nothing will take away the grind feeling of a game that you have been playing for years, it is bound to happen.

I would stop playing the game, I have seen what hacked items are like on the console and remember those days from Diablo 1 and for me that just isn't fun.

My suggestion would be to format your computer and start with a fresh install of Windows and if it happens again look at hardware replacements. I find that if it is hardware it becomes more obvious when it fails such as your BIOS not recognizing your HDD at all. Right now Intel is starting to roll out a new generation of processors so there might be deals coming in the future with the release of new hardware.

The problem I see with a suggestion like this is from my second hand experience by the time you reach P800 you really don't have much of a need for anything you list a possible rewards. I saw a friend's stash and he has so many crafting components that he stopped picking a lot of things and all but one or two items are already ancient legendaries. So the reward probably needs to be something unique to reaching P800+ and I think that might divide the community.
Oct 17, 2015lefaivre posted a message on Stash Space. The Struggle is real. - Updated comment.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The problem is no matter how much stash space Blizzard introduces it will never be enough and the introduction of the Cube to me was their approach to the void system in World of Warcraft because of the randomness of the gear drops for unlike Diablo 3 the gear in World of Warcraft is fixed. So any solution outside of what the cube does to me would be the equivalent of just adding more stash space.
Now I do have a couple of areas where it might be better, the first is with the cube is have a new recipe that if you have an ancient set item it rolls into another ancient set item, so you cannot upgrade to an ancient set item without having one first. The other is increasing stash space to seven tabs so there would be one tab for each class per game type and one for common items.

What I have gathered recently is no matter what Blizzard will do or not do with the game someone is going to be criticizing it. Recently I saw a bunch of posts along the lines of "Diablo 3 is too much like Diablo 2" and then I come to threads like this one and its "Diablo 3 is not enough like DIablo 2".
Oct 6, 2015lefaivre posted a message on D3 second expansion - Return of the Amazon class talkPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I doubt they would go for an Amazon class since they are now talking about making a set for the Demon Hunter that revolves around melee. If anything instead of new classes they are going to add new sets that incorporate concepts of the other classes such as having the Witch Doctor have a set that they would shift based on the pet they summon.
Things always change, but if I remember the blue posts from the time of Reaper of Souls one of the big reasons for the Crusader was they wanted a second strength base class so there were two for each primary attribute. Just like they didn't add a new companion since they had one for each primary attribute.
I really don't see them going back to too many of the concepts from Diablo 2 because I could see it becoming too much of a copying from the past instead of trying new things or at least if they do return they won't be the same as before. Such as if charms return, it would be more of a new item slot instead of something to clog your inventory with.

I am not sure what you are talking about with sets they added new sets with 2.3 and overhauled some with 2.4 so we haven't been using the same sets for four years. There is no way they can perfectly balance all four sets across all characters so they are completely equal there will always be a little bit of synergy that makes one better then the other.
i just wished something would happen in this game. you can only say a few times that diablo 3 is a game to be enjoyed for a few weeks and then put away till the next season, before people accept the fate of the game. and i really like to invest for a longer time in games from blizzard, so i favor a patch with some stuff here and there.
but we use the same sets for over four years and two years respectively. and we really focus on sets. a character is shit at 70 without a set. the moment he achieves a whole set, he becomes viable. and please don't mention LoN. i really hope they are working on X2.
The only way I can see people not showing up for a little while after a season is to have some type of weekly challenge, but again you will only have people logging in for a hour or two to complete that challenge and then you won't see them for a week. There isn't a way you can keep content in a single player game fresh enough that people will keep coming back eventually people get bored and move on.

To me the problem is that the amount of time can vary wildly because of how RNG some of those elements are especially the two conquest requirements. If they could do something about that I wouldn't be so frustrated, but to complete Conqueror my last conquest took me nearly 20 hours of time to complete because they game just wasn't co-operating. If the Conquest level reward was something that benefited the people that play the game for longer periods of time such as maybe upgrading a Legendary to Ancient Legendary status I would be more understanding, but more stash space is something everyone can make use of.Quote from DraknoMyself and the friends I play with finished Conqueror in about 40-50 hours of game time. I understand that is much further into the season for people who play less. It is achievable though, maybe you just needed to rethink your plan for seasons or find a few people with similar time restrictions and goals.
At 4 hours a week you could finish Conqueror in 10-12 weeks.

While I understand right now the benefit is too great for the Demon Hunter, I hope that it is still a viable build after they make the changes.

I would enjoy something like this and hope it is implemented, The problem I see is it could go against the reasoning they gave for putting such a high restriction on the extra tab space so it would have to still be tied into our stashes and I could see conflicts arising from that. I do hope I am wrong for this is needed more then ever now with Set Dungeons.

I wish they demonstrated the mathematics for how they generate set bonus damage for the 6-piece items, for it would be interesting to know the reasoning behind some of those bonuses as well.
I do agree that 800% was really high, but it would have been nice to see the bonus changed to something like +200% per ancient legendary up to +1000% for right now with the way I play I probably will never have enough ancient items to make use of this set.

Interesting changes to Marauders, but DPS wise I normally didn't have too much of a problem with the set if I was in an open location. My problem was normally in tight dungeon style areas where my sentries became unable to hit enemies. Now I don't compete at the higher levels of Grifts so I could be not encounters what others were.
I will give it a try on the PTR and see what it is like.

The biggest problem I have with Marauder's is how unfriendly it is to mobility, so for the biggest improvement I think they need to revamp sentries again.
They said in the past that they are going back to rework Shadow's Mantle to be a melee based set for Demon Hunters.
