So here's something that some of you (maybe all of you and I'm just a dumb ass) may have noticed about Diablo 3 as the monk and the borderlands were unveiled.

So the first thing we have is the fact that it begins after another retarded move by one of our "bad ass" characters, as in Diablo 1, a smart man shoved the soulstone up his ass and in Diablo 2, some "godly" angel decided that destroying a huge ruby that getting destroyed by a guy 5 minutes before hand was a good decision. So that's a first.

The second this is the fact how similar the acts are so far. In act 1 Diablo 2, we have the Rogue Encampment, a sunny happy place with forests and fun cute animals. In act 2, we have Nigeria and Iran put together in the medieval ages.
So apparently, the Diablo 3 employees sat down in a round table and said "Hey guys, we need some fresh ideas. Anyone?" and one guy going "Hey let's have a forest act 1 where you go Tristram again and then in Act 2 you go to the Sahara again!" Well that's a great idea!

Anyone wtf'ed over this as well?
no?!?...just because they used a similar formula doesn't mean that it will look or feel the same as diablo 2..especially due to the updated graphics.

Peeps, I think you should really let this thread die down. Quite frankly, it's nonsenical :) Get used to the idea of waiting for 2 more years :(
2 more years my ass...definitely a 2010 release at the latest

People make threads like this because there's nothing else to talk about concerning D3. We are parched for information. And it looks like we won't get any more info till Blizzcon 2010.
Agreed...this years blizzcon was less than desirable! the monk was kick-ass..but the least they could have done was just to get the fifth classed revealed as well..and maybe even some kind of time window of release!!!

The point of me bringing up Bioshock was so that people that played it would understand where I am taking this idea. It is very closed minded to think about a game, or the sequel of a game ONLY in context of the previous games.

Every game you've ever played including diablo, call of duty, warcraft, battlefield, street fighter, Kameo, halo3 etc... They have all copied a mechanic, theme, or direction (in some form) from a different game.

How the hell is an RPG or MMORPG like diablo or WoW related to call of duty. How can they interchange ideas when they have different objectives and goals? Well, since when you able to level up in a shooting game? Why the hell are you leveling up for killing people? Where did experience points in COD come from?

They were ideas taken from RPG's and MMORPG's.

It doesn't matter what genre a game has; if a mechanic or idea from a different game can be implemented in a smart way into a new game then what is stopping you from doing this?? Its not like I'm saying we should put plasmids in diablo...

The idea I wanted to get through to "you" (diablofans people) is that there are many tiny details that you might not think about often, like why you spawn in town after dieing, or wtf is a little waypoint teleporter doing here. Why can Witchdoctors throw fire bombs or spawn zombie walls?

The blizzard team has mentioned that they want to put a lot of depth into the game; in behalf of my idea, I'm saying that it can only make the game more interesting and feel more realistic. Rather than seeing those WTF moments. I enjoy a game with a story (bioshock, diablo, kameo, etc). you might not think that it is necessary, but you only say that because you think very little of it; but many details like this can make you think differently about the game. Like maybe explanations about the origins of spells or weapons; if there was a paragraph about each skill that explains how you learned it and where it came from you would say to yourself: "wow, there is so much depth to this game".
Nice job displaying "PASSIVE FLAMING"...delving into these insignificant details with a lengthy explaination is pointless anyway because diablo is in a league of its own..beyond the limits of other, lazier developers.

I would like these things to be explained. Even if they are very tiny, stupid stories. They add to the game. I remember when I played Bioshock for the first time and heard this about the "checkpoint"/ reviving machines, I thought that was purely genius to include a reason instead of just not dieing 50 times.
obviously "BIOSHOCK" and DIABLO are two completely different games with completely different story lines. I dont think there needs to be a reason or explaination behind the revival of your hero. If anything its the powers of the heavens and tyrial that provide new life for the hero in order for him/her to complete the goal of destroying the primary evils and their minions. perhaps the books provide the answer..or maybe google it and see..but my main point is that the game is fine the way it is and if your hero just happens to respawn for no reason(preferably with all gear in D3) then that is still ok with me..but you do make a good point with the nakedness...pretty irritating to have to travel back to your rape site to retrieve gear!!:P

Just because Jay says that those features will be introduced into Diablo 3 doesn't mean that Diablo 3 will be the first game to implement them. Now if he said that these features will be seen first in Diablo 3...different story.
actually the word "INTRODUCE" means to show or present at the start or beginning of a welcome..so acutally the 2009 release is still strong in my mind!!! this means that the battlenet 2 features could begin with D3..but then again they only showed star craft 2 with the revamped battlenet in the latest videos on gametrailers and g4tv.com!!

they will def. blow off the dumb 2 games per year rule and release in mid to late 2010..demand is highest for diablo 3 in my mind! i dont think that the wow expansion really counts as a game anyway...more like the last bit of sour milk coming from what was once a full titty!!!!HAHA

Even with less blood it will still be a kick-ass game that i will play for years like i have with D2, sorry China...
WOW...all i have to say is THANK GOODNESS THAT I LIVE IN THE GREATEST COUNTRY OF ALL ..AMERICA. it has to suck major nut sack to live in a country that deprives its people of certain aspects of art in video games so that the leaders can have their people act a certain way or feel a certain way to their benefit...pretty fucking lame!!!!!!!!! also..i hate to say it..but diablo is actually going to suck for you without the blood..FACT!!!

    No...

It means that, once equipped once, you can never sell it or even give it to another of your character. You can only sell it to a merchant for a pointless amount of gold.
can you still trade it to other players in multiplayer for items or gold?

posted a message on Diablo confirmed in D3?
if diablo was not in the game "DIABLO" then i think the story would FAIL with a big fat "F"!!!!! Unless of course the story mentioned diablo and had some kind of diablo apprentice demon, relative, or off-spring to take his place.. then i'd give the story a "B+"!!!

if i understand well, high lvl items will be bind-on-equip.. a terrible wrong move by blizzard since they're making everything great by now at d3
DOES THIS MEAN that after you reach Level 85, and you equip these bind on equip weapons..then it can never be removed or replaced with another weapon.

Just because you want the game to come out doesn't mean that the company should make decisions based off of you.
thats weird..i dont ever recall typing that I myself wanted the company to work around my desires...I stated the clear fact that everyone wants the game...not "I" want the game. Plus i think you are rushing your statements without any proof regarding when they did or did not have resources available during D3's initial birth. Ok..World of Warcraft, "although stale," is the most popular..still doesn't make its focus any more important than D3. Also..with each game having different teams..i believe that the diablo team would love to get the game out as soon as possible but is under the dictation of activision..who most likely holds a candle to the CASH they make and not the FANS!
