but some of us like to play untediously for hours at a time (Not myself, i prefer intense pvp) showing no skill. and if we die from some unexpected extra strong extra fast monster with teleport, we dont want to have to make a trail of naked corpses to get back to where we left off. if anything, to me, it would make the game less replayable for those farming types, and their patience.
a steady progress and forgiving atmosphere should help keep the majority of nubs entertained (which is most of the diablo market). while those that want a challenge should find another way.
and trust me, there will be challenges outside of hardcore.

Nov 8, 2009naa, the ninja is too lame a way to create the missing link in combat style. i reckon blizz will create a character closer to the diablo world style and create something more vague a description. like the assassin.. she could have easily been a ninja, but the name is too specific, making us expect things from her the same way some of us expect vampires to burn in the sun in movies.Posted in: Unannounced Class
i guess there are some flaws in my argument through blizz's previous examples, such as in the expectations of the monks abilities and specific style (such as no ranged magic projectiles) but i think as the last class, blizz will take the name of the class and its combat style to a higher standard of creativity.
Nov 8, 2009i think blizz will work out its imballances much moreso than in wow. this wasnt much of an issue in diablo 2 and i dont think (with all the care and time they are taking) it should make much of a difference in diablo 3. many of such issues are fixed with things like procs per min etc; but in the end we will eventually find any mistakes and possible exploits in diablo 3, and in such a game there its always bound to be imballanced in some way.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
bash should be based off dps (including magic impact damage) :3 not weapon dps
as far as slow poison damage goes, it should be considered something completely different (like a debuff) and should only work on weapons as instant poison damage.

what do you think should be the real challenge in diablo 3 in terms of combat?
egs:placing, items specific monsters (takes more from not your type but this type), or perhaps mob massing powers (take out the ressing guy). ...not great examples but hopefully u get the idea.

Taking away fun gameplay is a bad idea if your trying to keep the game untedious, fast paced, and fresh.
i like feel that the real challenge i had in diablo 2 was dodging projectiles from white wraith-like entities in hell mode (which would hurt pretty bad even with 90% lightning resist) while still killing at a fast rate

Oct 29, 2009There is alot of rage in pvp.. i think they should just take one step up, not wasting too much time trying to ballance pvp or add anything special, just adding team pvp versus in organised teams for level ranges.Posted in: News & Announcements
Perhaps a way to verse people in those level ranges inbetween hosted games. Involving grounds for storyline battle in pvp and creating pvp items takes away from what i love most about diablo: the simple hack and chop item grabbing excitement.

Oct 13, 2009Il just say it now, lets say you have filled up all but the last layer of your inventory, and you still have 2 more spaces; you find a sword and it takes 2 spaces, and you dont wana throw out something... why cant i just put it on its side? I think it would be a great idea to change the inventory space to an even number of layers (not columns)Posted in: News

Oct 9, 2009The gameplay of the monk seems quite effective and fullproof to a standard where adding auras to this style of combat would mean, if they were to stop the monk from becoming overpowered, they would have to lessen the impact of the auras. I like a character where the auras impact the group significantly, and become interchangable and effective abilities in themselves.Posted in: News
As for the socalled *role* of the supporter, i dont think the auras should influence the character to a point where he would increase the effectiveness of the party threefold, while by himself, having spent so much in his role and becoming barely useful would have to be rushed through the game, resorting back to the idea of hammadins, where they would be useless untill rushed to a certain level.
