High all resist and secondary (cold) resist. +Armor is always nice. Life regen and thorns are kind of secondary stats (although regen is never bad).

No vitality or strength on the item is a big bummer. No life % either.

Wouldn't pay much more than 500-1000k for it.

Besides, a lot of off-stats are useful, don't overlook them.

For example as a barbarian dex gives me dodge (and each percent of dodge is as good as one percent less damage) and 10 points of int give me +1 all res. Of course I try to get gear with better stats, but if I find an otherwise decent item and it has either, I just take them for what they are, for example 50 int is just +5 all res.

I've found several upgrades myself, and sold many items. Don't be too quick to vendor items, some items can easily sell for 50-100k, and you find such items a lot more often than items selling for 500k+.

Ian Andrews' (Jethro Tull's singer) Thick as a Brick 2 (follow-up to Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick). Definitely one of the best albums I've heard for a while.

Don't find it that good. Too low all res (6,9), and no life on hit.

That being said, it's hard to price, as it depends what's the maximum price point where someone would want to buy it. Perhaps 200k, perhaps 500k. Wouldn't buy it myself for 500k, perhaps someone would.

posted a message on [GUIDE] How to become a sucessful and exceptional barbarian on inferno difficulty
Glad that someone took the time to write a guide.

One viewpoint that deserves more attention is the fact that offense is actually a defense as well. Once you're past the point where you get instantly killed by champs/rares more damage is more survivability.

Battle rage with marauder's rage is a 30% damage buff, so in total about 25% damage increase with full maniac stacks (they're addative, not multiplicative, so a 30% increase on 120% is 25%). Therefore everything takes 25% extra damage and dies 20% quicker (1/1,25 = 0,80). Therefore you take 20% less damage on average as the monsters have less time to attack you. Therefore it's on paper about as effective as threatening shout -- with the exception that you kill monsters quicker, and get more drops per hour.

The same goes for some of the most potent damage enhancing passives (such as weapons masters with swords, which in fact IS multiplicative bonus damage).

Right now legendaries sell for way more than they are actually useful for. Just take the gold and buy some bigger upgrade instead.

-Fire the plot scenarist(s) for kerrigan 2.0, the useless SK arc, the poorly handled and told Belial plot twist, the badly introduced act 3, the meaningless ending, etc. Make the team look at d2 plot developments, cutscenes (ending cinematic before the add-on particulary) and story telling. GOD

The main/core story for all the three Diablo games (I, II and III) was done by the same guy: Chris Metzen.
and all the 6 episodes of starwars were done by the same guy also (much or less if you know what i mean)

Exactly. I just meant that the problem is not that Chris Metzen wouldn't know what happened in Diablo II. Or that Lucas didn't know what happened in episodes 4-6. Just that they're inconsistent.

Plus you think they would've learned a thing or two from SCII / WoW x-pac launches, but no. The server downtime is kind of irritating.

All in all, I tried to avoid impossible-to-meet expectations, and so far I've not been let down (besides the story).

    Dunno...

Barbarian seems to have plenty of viable builds. It's the only class I've played so far in the full game. I find myself occasionally switching a skill just for the heck of it.

Also, at least half of the time is spent in dungeons, which are randomized just the same. And since the outdoor events change, outdoors aren't that repetitive either. (This in my opinion, I've not been bothered by the lack of randomization at all). Especially the fact that available dungeons change helps a lot.

The story is mediocre, definitely, though.

Yeah, not really even considering the inferno kills impressive. Once someone beats them without cheesing, we can talk about impressive.

    @Genesis

I don't think you can really compare Diablo II and III stories. Diablo II had scarcely any story whatsoever (more than the basic promise of chasing down the Dark Wanderer and preventing him from reuniting with his two brothers. Diablo III had plot holes so large that it was impossible to fill them reasonably. For example the nature of the Pandemonium Fortress was a huge mystery until revealed in the Book of Cain/Diablo III. Diablo II and III stories were both made by the same guy.

That being said, it's easier to make a good atmosphere when things are left a mystery. I think Blizzard should've went more with the mystery and less with the explanation approach in some parts.

Also, do not underestimate the power of nostalgia. I do agree that most of DII npcs are more memorable than DIII equivalents, but is that because DII was replayed and cherished to no end when we were something like ten years younger? I think in part that is true.

All in all, I think as a game DIII truly lived to its expectations. NPCs and story are quite mediocre though.

A bit of bad luck with the dexterity affix there, Jamoose. But oh man, that helmet looks awesome.

Just as I commented on your legendary, I found my first one, and it's even an improvement!
