The only problem I have with the announcements is the release time. Second half of 2017 for the Necro!?

In the Dev Q&A on Saturday in the description it says "Answer any burning questions you may have." Now that is a leading statement. What burning questions could anyone have about Diablo III, that haven't already been answered, unless it is a lot of content coming to the game. More specifically content that would come with an expansion. Now maybe it is a full expansion or large content patches in the future. That said there is going to be a big announcement for sure because the only burning question for Diablo III right now is "when is Diablo 4 being announced?" We all know Diablo 4 is a long way away from an announcement.

Considering Hell is made from Tathamet's remains and Heaven was made from Anu maybe Diablo found a way to get Tathamet's power from "the core" of Hell or something. Could be an ultimate Diablo who reanimated Tathamet from Hell itself. We would be fighting Hell itself. That would be a lot to ask from the team and something Blizzard would ask!

Kulle believed humans were the ascendants of Anu. There is definitely something there and this could easily finish the series.

The more I read into this the more sense it makes. If Diablo has found a way to become the true prime evil, Tathamet, and Kulle is right, humans are the inheritors of Anu, everything would come together. It would be Anu, naphalem, versus Tathamet, Diablo becoming the prime evil.
This very well could be it; it makes total sense!

So Diablo 20th Anniversary is a primetime panel on the main stage. I would think something is going to be announced. Why slot the game that is, for a lack of a better word, "dead" for primetime?
On another note you can clearly see Blizzard's push for competitive eSports style games. It is speculated to be the future of sports.

What if they are doing a complete DIII overhaul and the new expansion will be version 3.0 with paragon 3.0 and loot 3.0 and many other 3.0 things. I have been thinking a DIII redesign is the big announcement at Blizzcon. They could wipe everything with upgrades, possibly a new engine (more work), and it would be more math than an entirely new game.
Think about it this could fit the D2 Remake. Instead of an HD upgrade of the game it could be a retelling of the story. Or more specifically when Adria mentions Diablo's return his brothers could join him. All hell could break loose in the realm. The story could be finished and that would give them time for something new. They promised all the original classes maybe they give them to us. There has been tons of 3d renders of old D2 bosses.
A total overhaul is not out of the question and could be easier than an entirely new game.
Everything is speculation a this point who knows but this shirt most likely is an indication of something Diablo 3 related at Blizzcon!

I have thought about that to a complete rework of the current game. I just don't think they would invest all the resources into to fixing a current game when going in a completely new direction is better for the brand.
With the patches they have been releasing it was clear they had a second expansion. I just think they failed to reinvent the game and Blizzard felt that a new game is in order.
It is all speculation at this point so who knows what could be. We can speculate all we want but Blizzcon will be the answers (hopefully)

I agree. Definitely no mobile only game no D3x2 (why hire an all new staff?). I can see D2HD for the exact reason you stated (Could be a filler for a brand new project if it is true that Blizzard has allowed the staff to work on remakes in there own time. That would require the development to be near completion. Given the SCHD remake rumor and how it has been worked on by the staff no reason a D2HD remake is not in the same situation) and definitely a new project.
On the mobile portion I think they may try to incorporate the game with some mobile features similar to what WoW: Legion did with the Legion Companion. Ignoring mobile is no longer an option more and more people are there phones. Maybe they will add a feature rich app to go with a brand new diablo. I would imagine being able to do simple task and being rewarded for it. Maybe mobile only cosmetics or what not.
My ideas aside I would put my money on a "Legion Companion app" but for a new Diablo game.

Considering Blizzard's secrecy why would they make such an obvious site like this? They wouldn't. It is fake based on Blizzard's track record of secrecy. Rumors will fly but Blizzard will never confirm nor deny them. You will have to wait for an announcement and it seems Blizzcon is going to be happening for Diablo (hopefully)...

Diablo 2 HD remake. If the SC1 HD remake turns out true no reason not to do a D2 remake.

It has to be Diablo IV that is why they got rid of all the key developers of Diablo III. They are looking for a brand new idea not the same crap. They can't really do much to Diablo III except add new characters which I bet will be a part of a patch for free because it looks like they scrapped what could have been an expansion.
It doesn't make sense to re-staff for an expansion unless the core game is going to be dramatically changed. It has to be Diablo IV and they want something similar to Diablo I/II. PoE and Grim Dawn are probably examples of the future Diablo (with the desire to innovate from what exist of course).
Nothing against Diablo III I think it was/is a great game. It just doesn't seem plausible another expansion is in the works. The repetition, in my opinion, is going to be nearly impossible to overcome a new game means new things and as it is Diablo III is played out for a lot of people.

I agree with no xp or loot rewards but what generalized customization rewards? Say some cool portrait frame or pennant etc for doing custom rifts? Maybe the community could vote on the rewards for a season or even design the customization and then vote. That would be cool.

Add a paragon option as well like max 800 and no paragon etc...
