Just wondering Guys> How do i keep Pixel resolution while decreasing image size? I mean I realize that at some point it becomes impossible, but it seems other people manage a much higher 150-150 resolution with their avatars than me! Also what do people think Of My new Sig/Avatar (It's the day before my Molecular Neurophysiology Final and all I can be F**ked doing is Photoshop! lol)

How fun would it be to wait 9 seconds between each showoff? They reduced it for the video.

It is 9 seconds at level 1. Don't forget that you can level it up and put runes in it.

From What I remember reading. Originally it DIDN'T have a CD, but when it became clear at the demo's that people were just speeding through areas that blizzard wanted them to experience (ala Enigma :spam:), they CREATED a cooldown timer system.

As far as I recall, they stated somewhere around last blizzcon that there is currently no plans for vendors out of towns. And there won't be the problem of back and forth TP, because there is no TP in D3.

    Hmmm, Interesting...
Is there a forum somewhere discussing possible alternates to TP's?

They have actually confirmed they aren't going to stick with the one town per act style Diablo II had.

That was a mad interview, however, Jay only really says that the towns have the ABILITY to be far more dynamic, he doesn't really talk about the potential for "camps". Furthermore, this was a fair time ago, so development has obviously progressed significantly, and what EXACTLY happens to different towns will prob be *almost* set in stone....?

You will meet life outside of town. Most will probably be random questgivers, but there might be some traveling shops or something.

It might be unlikely to find a travelling shop in Hell :P But it could work for earlier acts.

So is "Hell" actually a confirmed Act yet?
Or are you just going off

It has been discussed I believe to varying degrees in other threads, but I wanted to have a platform to state my opinion that there should be sentient (good or otherwise) life outside of the strongholds.towns. Bashiok has previously stated that Blizzard wants a very distinctive line drawn in the sand between Town and Outside;Safe and Treacherous. However I think it would be a cool idea to have people outside of the safe zones of varying degrees of "good" who are either extremely powerful (as with Ormus from act 3) or extremely proficient at survival (pack of assassins or something). It would be interesting to hear their stories and why they do not stay in the town (either left via exile, disgust, or opportunity).

Now here is the critical bit:
They could solve varying roles, acting as a specialist/necessity shop keep, allowing for the hero to sell and buy items during a particular quest sequence, removing the need for a return to town and taking away from the TP back and forth sequence that Blizzard want to avoid!! In this way, they would be an amazing addition in terms of keeping the game pace at High intensity. PLUS it would just be awesome to see someone like Ormus surrounded by monsters in the middle of a swampland, totally protected by this magical force-field against the demon spawn.
These camps could also act as mercenary hiring stations (assassin's camp etc) providing a more....expendable? source of weaponry...

All those who are wondering... The inspiration for the "Monk" class comes not from some Chinese Monk, it comes from an old friend known only as "Yunero".

posted a message on Diablo III Coming in "Next Few Years"
    (non)Official Release Date:
    November 14th 2011.
Enough time that they (Blizzard) can create a MASSIVE hype around the game post-2011 Blizzcon, and close enough to the holidays that they can sweep major sales from the younger (reliant on gifting) crowd. Also provides the possibility of announcement of the inevitable Expansion at the following Blizzcon, given a reasonable amount of time post launch.
That being said I think anyone who follows games like SC2 knows that Blizzard will not release a game until they are completely satisfied with play-testing and balance issues. Hence there is an inherent variability, thus no set in stone date...

    posted a message on PvP
Was just thinking... And I am sure someone has said it before...
Would it not be cool to be able to "bet" on the results of a duel. To wager either money or equipment on the results of a battle. Furthermore it would be awesome to see a battle royal style mode where one is left standing, especially if you incorporated a money system into the mix, with everyone entering a small fee to enter a competition with the 1st 2nd and 3rd taking away gold winnings! If not gold you could have ceremonial items to win (as beneficial items would lead to exploiting of the system most likely).
Unluckily however, this, like a significant number of things in D3 holds onto the slim chance of money retaining substantial value, unlike that of Enron Stocks, the Zimbabwean dollar, and Wirts Leg - Well, except if you like cows... Cow Level Better be a Unicorn and Fairy Universe!!!

posted a message on Archangel Bashiok
Just always thought (Since pandemonium fortress), that it would be a cool idea to have admins (in particular blizzard staff) with Angelic avatars in-game... Maybe even progressive angelic ranks given increasing company/server authority. Just thought it would be funny to see 'Archangel Bashiok' cruising round the server with the passive, or 1 click armageddon power.

NB: I know it's not plausible, but would be funny, even if you just gave it as a one off playable avatar to Mike Morhaime!

posted a message on PvP exclusively?
I was wondering whether blizzard would be embracing the fact certain character builds would be more advantageous in a PvP setting; or trying to decrease the PvP specific builds by making high quality builds of any type 'balanced' in a PvP setting.

NB: For the locked chest issue (doing away with keys), i think it would be funny to still see them as easter eggs in D3, with a 'locked chest' remaining impenetrable... Until a barbarian cleaves the pathetic splinters of wood in two...
