I don't disagree entirely with the decisions, I mean the wizard can't use big two-handed stuff, the barbarian can't use wands.. I mean, that kind of things I couldn't care less and won't affect the game much, except those that really love to try anything.

All I'm saying is, Bashiok doesn't deserve any credit for his comment. Sweet, he's talking to the community, but his text is there for nothing. A few lines would be saying the same thing.

"In our current game the wizard can't wield a two-handed sword for instance, but can still use a one handed sword and shield if so desired."

Where is that line?

I still don't see it? You can abuse it to kick someone for showing even the slightest disrespect, to be stronger than you, to kick someone halfway through the game, to kick them right when they get in.. you can use your imagination for more.

Point: You rule, you can do whatever you want to the other people if you don't want them in, even if your only purpose is to piss them off. Its even worse if that person is playing with friends.

Your point is that the person is going to end up alone. I have NO idea how that could happen. Unless Diablo 3 fails epicly, there will always be people to play with, and even if you spend your time kicking people and they all ignore you as a result, there will still be more that have no idea who the hell you are.

This is an extremely touchy topic, because there is absolutely nothing to do against it that will have additional negative impact on the community.

As Mattheo said, a kick ban feature is the worst thing ever. Trust me that there is not a single kick or ban feature that was not abused to death.


Playing online includes idiots. I hate this, everyone hate this, but its the truth. In the world, there are idiots, there are people wanting to do nothing else but ruin other people's life. You can't stop it.

As far as possible solutions, the only I know of is to create a system that monitors if someone is actively doing something to help the team. It does NOT give more or less drops or anything because of this. However, it would force the player to throw a few bones every fight to be considered active.

The only problem is that increasing the requirements to be considered "active" can become an annoyance to some people, while something too small will have little effect on them (just throw a fireball per fight and I get drop!)


In any case, the problem is not as annoying as certain make it sounds like. I can't say I love having an idiot following me and taking his loot, but with ow D3 works now, WHO CARES? He's useless, true, but he can't touch my gains.

Actually, its not going to work like that. At least, I doubt it, considering how Bashiok was speaking.

Basically, less inventory just means they want you to have more decisions to make about what items to carry and to bring back to town. I'm guessing the days of town portals are over (which would be an awesome thing, by the way - a broken concept all around) and that means there is no way you can just take everything and keeping selling it to town. You HAVE to choose.

That seems to be their intentions.

Royalty fee? What does that mean? Is that just paying real money to buy in-game stuff? Example, 5$ for more space?

They have never even come close to say that they would have such things. They said battle.net might have some features that requires you to pay (god knows what, though), but as far as the game goes, they would just shoot themselves in the foot for including anything like that.



I also disagree completely with random bag drops. In fact, I don't like bags at all. But don't make them random. This is just stupid. They have a HUGE impact on your character and thats all there is to it.

Huge impact = shouldn't be given randomly.
