last, do you enjoy the multiplayer aspect of diablo? I'm sure Totsakanth's kids do too. Since blizzard has decided to strip them of this luxury by removing LAN then I totally agree with his movement to get another game.
Oh and I don't know about you, but whenever I'm playing with people I know from real life, it just adds to the enjoyment. I know I'd definitely choose multiplayer with my siblings over singleplayer any day.

Jun 26, 2009The 15+ rating is mainly because of the animated violence and blood. This is incomparable to the nature of the other players on Bnet. One is consistent, the other is variable and potentially much more dangerous.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Jun 26, 2009While I grew up taking the net face on with parents that weren't as concerned about the consequences (or, most likely unaware) as you are, I completely understand your dilemma. Some could argue you can never completely protect your children from the dangers of real life, so the best solution is to inform them and teach them how to take action if such problems arise, but then there are the creeps that expose the children to inappropriate content (foul language to say the least).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I never plan to use LAN myself nor have I ever but again Blizzard should have taken such customers as yourself into more consideration. Shame on them...
Jun 26, 2009If you're given a larger variety of skills, this could create confusion for the new players in terms of what skills are best to use and how they can be used in certain situations. Given enough time with the simple attack skills, they come to appreciate the better spells more-so when the required levels are reached.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Or, if you have the entire skill tree open to you from level 1, not only confusion, but it becomes boring since the best or most interesting spells are used constantly. What barb would ever bother with a D3 bash when they can whirlwind?
The variety that is lacking at the lower levels is also seen as a consequence of not putting in the hard yards to become stronger and able to unlock the better skills.
Also, high levels characters suffer the same problem. While they have the entire skilll tree open to them, they only concentrate on 1 or 2 max primary skills. The orb sorc, whirlwind barb, hammerdin etc. And the added passive/secondary skills are only necessary for some convenience when battling the tougher of hell's minions that ALSO have more variety in their skills.
And finally, I don't agree with you about the reason for rushes. I believe it is mostly because players thirst to be the best in the game. This wont be achieved if they 'waste' all their time slowly playing through the entire game without the rush.

Next Day: Ok just a few bossruns to see if i'm lucky.. Do you catch my drift?
2) Keep my social life in tact (hardest one)
3) Still have to study
So basically you want to live a triple-life? Good luck!

I guess you're not aggressive when it comes down to itQuote from "Ranim" »[quote name='puttah]Right. Doesn't it frustrate you when the hotdog can't be chomped down in 1 bite?[/quote']I meant more of a sexual thing, but that too!
Jun 26, 2009Puttah posted a message on Gold farming and gold spammers- save the Chinese children!"Let the spammers roam free to annoy the entire populace of Bnet because all the players have to do is give up a few seconds of their time to block the spammer.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Lets not mute/ban the spammer ourselves, because its better for each and every player to mute the spammer themselves. Better this way." With Love, Blizzard team.
Really, I hope they do more to rid us of these nuisances. Any steps that can be done to hinder the transaction efficiency of gold farmers, through spam advertising etc. should be supported to the fullest.

Right. Doesn't it frustrate you when the hotdog can't be chomped down in 1 bite?Quote from "Ranim" »This is like ppl getting all bothered with foot long hotdogs.
lol ironic much? Fast food and healthy... you kidding me?

Jun 22, 2009Oh jeez... where to start!?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
- I'd run to the bank, screaming at the cashier for a withdrawal of 5 grand. After the guards tackle me down and throw me out due to my 'disturbance of the peace' (actually, I don't have that kind of money anyway, and they don't trust me with loans).
- Then I'll head to the computer store after making a back-alley transaction for my dough with this weird dude.
- Buy myself a computer with top-specs.
- Head to EB games 23 hours early and then shout "Fuck this" after 11 seconds and head back to the weird dude
- Buy a map and time schedule of the routes the trucks shipping D3 are taking.
- Hijack... err... welcome the trucks with open arms.
- Jump up and down like an excited child that will grow up to become a crazed maniac.
- Run, arms and bags flailing wildly, making a drool trail all the way home.
- Lock myself in the toilet and start setting up de shiz!
Jun 21, 2009If you joined a game called 'saving cain' then it means you need team help to save him. If everyone in that game has already saved him, they've already done that quest. So what you're hoping for is that cain is captured again, and everyone in the game repeats the quest to satisfy your wants?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
lol makes sense
Jun 21, 2009Well this wasn't the case in D2, and rightly so. Each created game needs to be looked at like it is a new 'parallel universe' in a way, where all the bosses have yet to be killed. You shouldn't be allowed to kill the same boss twice in one game (or 'parallel universe' :P).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Jul 16, 2009Increasing the inventory bags as you progress through the game would significantly cut down the use of mules. Sure, early in the game you pick up all the crap to sell for money for tp's and pots etc. but everything you pick up is basically junk and you have no reason to create a mule to hold your extra (crap) goodies. Later in the game you pick up uniques that can't just be sold off or thrown away, so without an increased inventory space it inevitably leads to mule creations and many pointlessly wasted hours of drop-trading.Posted in: News

No. It does make sense!Quote from "Ivaron" »I don't understand. Bashiok is talking about limited inventory space as if it's a good thing. What the hell?
This game is about killing stuff and collecting loot. Why on earth would you want to limit the amount of loot we can carry in the first place? It doesn't make sence.
If you don't agree with this... well... maybe the best decision you could make is >>>Quote from Bashiok »Beginning with a small and limited amount of space teaches the player early on that inventory management is an important part of playing the game - and sometimes generating income.
Making and keeping the player aware of their limitations can also help keep a better sense of structure and focus. Being overwhelmed is sometimes as detrimental to a play experience as being bored.Quote from "Ivaron" »I know I'm gonna sound like a whiney little kid and no-one is going to care, but this is one of those things that makes me think I might not want to buy the game.
Jun 8, 2009Posted in: NewsQuote from "Genesis" »Not that I was strongly one way or the other, but I'm glad that Battle.net will be free
If they do introduce micro-payments then I hope they don't have any effect on gameplay, as that would create an imbalanced playing field between people who pay and people who don't. I would rather have 100% of people paying than it being imbalanced by optional paying
An imbalance is inevitable with the invention of ebay and all. I'm on the non-paying player side and of course don't like this, but what can we do?
