The purpose of a game is not to be easy or hard, but to be enjoyable. DII was easy, because HC players managed to get to level 90 without dying. Since when did Diablo II became a hard game, honestly? Besides spending ages on killing certain immune-to-everything monsters and Hell Knights, it was pretty easy.
I think Blizzard could benefit from dividing SP and MP, making MP more party dependent, and SP more independent, but I believe the "you can solo the whole" game is actually directed at MP players. They don't want to force you into a part. In fact, normally, getting a party would make enemies stronger and not at all improve your situation. Which is why I don't really get your argument. It's hard to create a game that a solo player cannot win, nor is there demand of that.
my argument basically was that the game would need something to differ the single player to the multiplayer apart from experiencing the game with others..
thats why i suggested stronger monsters/other idea's that would get people thinking and really having to work together to survive.
just hoping the co-op experience will be challenging, as Jay Wilson also stated " you can basically use the same spell throughout the whole game until nightmare or so"
I think you are onto sth here. Very interesting reasoning and makes a lot of sense to me.
I think all they need is to balance all 5 classes for one act then that pretty much balances the rest of other acts they make doesnt it? - so it does make sense to create classes before acts ... but you never know.
My bet is on what your suggesting. I only believe in half of the stuff they tell us.
WAAA? theyd just balance the class to the act not having to change the whole act.. eg. making the class weaker/stronger.
i wasn't really comparing it to the gameplay vids, if it is anywhere near that easy its just gonna lose its replayabitlity factor, hard games are the best, hard games is what keep people playing..
now comparing it to d2, d2 was an easy game, once you knew the right people you could just rush all the acts and pretty much get ur char up in a day, im just hoping d3 isn't that easy.
yeh i do understand about leaving the single players features out but maybe bosses/monsters to be way harder online and droping rarer loot, just something to differ it from single player.
I was watching the diablo 3 game design panel with Jay Wilson and they've said that the multiplayer would be best suited for 4 players..i now understand that. with the right adjusments it could be a really good co-op experience.
The main thing that got me worried about the multiplayer was the quote from Jay Wilson stating that "anything that can be done in multiplayer can be done playing single player"
what i was hoping they'd do was add extreme bosses needing a large team to take them down, this would bring a much more playable experience to multiplayer, they also stated that even if you have a large team the drops wont be any different to single player, drops not so much a big problem.
ALSO i was wondering will there be more monsters spawned x amount of players in game,
say if 4/5 players online would there be x3 monsters + x3 damage or what?
the more monsters the harder the game, the more the ownage and more things to kill!
will it be like this?
i feel that the game could be to easy if basically what you can do in single player would be just as easy with a full team online.. we'd need harder/more enemies to feel more motivated to get a full group online and hunt them down for rare loots!.

but please tell me what you guys think
