Quote fromSo every moment Diablo 3 isn't out and being bought and played by those people who play WoW as well, Blizzard is loosing money, hitherto I've found no real reason to delaying Diablo 3 because of WoW subscriptions intentionally.
That's ridiculous. They make three million bucks each and every day in revenue from WoW, and most of that is profit. Another fantasy title (with psuedo-MMO features) would absolutely cut into that, and the math just doesn't work when you consider the idea of replacing even a small fraction of that subscription revenue with a one-time box sale. A Science Fiction RTS doesn't compete with WoW directly, which is why you will see SC2 soon.
They aren't losing a thing - but they are keeping the fanbase in suspense and, more importantly, warehousing some of the best developers in the industry without having to compete with them at another studio.

Schwift, just saying that you shouldn't gloat too much about skill bringing you that sweet gear, when, in just a few weeks or so, a credit card will do the same thing.
In any case, I don't blame you for enjoying a game you paid for or for being a skilled player.

They do what they do - make money - and you do what you do - grind in a game like a $2/hr kid somewhere deep in China.

And that, fellow gamers, is all that you need to know about D3 in a nutshell.
1
Sure, but it was a mess with a fully functional single player game. You do know what that is, right?
0
They did, and you paid to be in it.
I really don't understand why people buy a product like this in its first few months. I wouldn't consider looking at it until PVP is in AND has had a couple of patches.

Worth the four minutes if you're curious about the current state of the game.

Actually, less than 1/5 of the team - about ten out of around sixty - went to FSS from blizzard north.
And only one of those guys (David Glenn) was an artist or designer that specialized in random backgrounds. And, of course, a first-person shooter is a little bit of a stretch relative to an iso psuedo-3d game.
But feel free to regurgitate another idiot meme! The one where background artist portfolio shots zoomed way out with all the lights on and player characters and monsters totally deemphasized are representative of blizzard north's D3 is a classic, why not reach for that next?
My incredibly obvious point is that the team has no experience with randomized levels, and it shows.

That's just part of the experience and talent that walked out the door a decade ago or so.

Give them a break, it's their first ARPG. If you want more content and random levels that actually feel random, you'll go somewhere else, amirite?
It's all about finding loot in Inferno! And selling it!

TROLL!! FAITHLESS DIRTY TROLL!! BAN HIM NOW!

Maybe D3 will be there sooner than we all thought.

Congrats, nerds.

Obviously, in terms of the launch, Bliz was more interested in paying minimum wage to GMs in texas than they were to tech support professionals in europe and asia. Funny how that works.

Actually, about a dozen went to FSS, not thirty. There's a few other factual errors, as well.
