Damn cause those videos show no lag i remember doing the cow level with a full game and everyone would just use one spell and BAM it froze for like five seconds then i would lag out it sucked so muchhaving such a bad computer at the time. its a good thing im getting a new one before this game and SC2 comes out.

That almost sounds like a connection problem, not a computer problem.

Most modern computers should be more than powerful enough to do D@. However, if somebody only has a 256 k connection, that would slow everything down.

Better to have too much than too little.

It'd suck to swing a sword and kill it and not have known that you did anything.

posted a message on Racial Diversity? (remaining 2 classes)
    I don't care about races.

Make them all black, Asian, White,..., whatever.

Once you have them on a monitor, you ain't gonna be able to tell the difference at all.

There is one way Blizzard could allow multi-classes without people bleeting is to allow a skin tone adjustment like some games.

This has been discussed quite a few times imo.. but i'm planning on living life to the fullest, because when D3 hits the stores I'm dropping out of the real world for at least 3 years.

I plan to spend my time productively and pass gas.

...and there goes the greenshoots, buh bye

In a dramatic reversal to the moderating trend from the past several months, Mass Layoff Events surged from 256,357 in June to a whopping 336,654 in July, a 31% increase, and surprisingly the second highest reading for the year since January's 388 thousand. Actual MLE increased by 21% from 2,519 to 3,054.

I wouldn't be so pessimistic if we just simply took the downturn medicine as we must, then we could actually see light at the end of the tunnel but nope, the politicians are hell bent on fighting taking that medicine in the name of getting elected.

The reason why politicians do what they do is that voters like being bribed with their own money, because most voters today are rather uneducated about money matters and how increased deficits lead to higher debts, which lead to slower economic recoveries, which can lead to economic collapses.

If people understood the connection between deficits and economic depressions, they'd be pissed.

I'm gonna guess a generic "Ranger" class because we've already had Rogue/Amazon/Druid and they need a ranged fighter and a nature-magic user, and "Ranger" covers both of those. Actually, I have a theory they're gonna have 6 classes in the game because at this point the game is mostly likely not coming out until 2011, which gives them more time, and I'm sure they have too many ideas to fit into 5 classes.

They are probably going to have 7 classes, like last time, with two being part of the expansion.

There's no reason for the monk to not be the range character.

He could fill the holy/range part just fine.

Not too big of a deal for me. The longer we wait, the more time I have to find a job and get an epic computer to play Diablo III on! triple 30" screens... mmmm

    Don't get a monitor.

Get a projector, than you can play the game on a 8' screen.

    That one right there.

Have you ever tried to close the eye on the same side of the eyebrow you're raising, like that smiley?

    It's not possible, I say.

And I know a thing or two about raising eyebrows...

I tried it and I can, barely.

I dunno. What do you call a female barbian? Barbarianess? Wizardress? Witch Doctress? :)

I think punching/kicking could be awesome if done right... His hands could turn into tigers/dragons/demons heads as he punched and crap... If they did it right it could be pretty awesome.

I know the female monk could be called the monkey.

Not really. Witch Doctor fits in the diablo setting pretty easy and I thought the WD was awesome from day one. The only people complaining where those who wanted the Necro and felt threated that the class was replaced with the WD.

SO far all the classes have felt like natural fits to the game... except the Monk.

Seriously, there was so much to pick from, and they went Monk.

The monk fits as well as anybody else.

    I'm excited.

Can't wait to buy the game.

posted a message on Improving inventory storage space
I think that D2 nearly got the storage space correct. HOwever, there is one thing needed to make it perfect.

The problem with the storage space is that things could only be stored vertically. If you had space on the bottom for a sword, unless that sword could be stored vertically, you'd lose the sword.

If you could also store things horizontally, it'd be perfect.

In real life, when you pack things, you pack things in various ways to make them fit in your suitcase or knapsack, whether it was vertically, or horizontally, or diagonally. As long as it got in there was all that mattered.

It should be the same for D3, If your inventory has room, there should be creative ways to be able to store things. You shouldn't have to put up with a lot of space on the bottom that remains unused, because things can only be stored vertically.
