If humanity could drive out Hell from Heaven, I'd be seriously surprised.
Hit'n'run tactics from the Pandemonium Fortress into Hell? Sure.
Full-scale military assaults on all the forces of Hell? Not likely.
Not to mention the problem of what the hell is going to happen if Heaven disappears. The whole world of Diablo basically requires the duality between Heaven and Hell. One can't lose over the other, that just doesn't work as we presently know the Universe.

In the past I always had thought the heaven will be fighting diablo and its hell minion, but then a question comes to my mind:
If hell and heaven rages a heavy war, would diablo be fighting against the high heaven or use the chance to take back hell?
From what I know, diablo and the prime evil are not sided with hell currently. If there is one big enemy to hell ( controlled by the 2 lesser evil ), it would be the prime evils and not the heaven. I mean obviously diablo is going to try to take back hell and punish the lesser evils. By fighting against hell woudn't we helped the prime evil in a way? Or perharps give diablo back full control to hell?
So my question question is, would you guys think there will be 4 forces in diablo3: hell(lesser evil ), heaven, human, and the prime evil themself? also why didnt diablo try to take back hell and instead fight with humans and angels in diablo2?:offtopic:
what i dont understand is, wouldn't the prime evil's main goal is take back hell, from the lesser evil ? i mean, if diablo 3 is about hell vs heaven, or anything related to hell, wouldnt it be unrelated since hell is not really on diablo's side anymore. It would be more like diablo vs hell vs heaven vs human ?
During the 20 year peace, hell has already raged war against the heaven. The fallen angel is perharps tyrael or another angel who was fighting in the heaven and has fallen from fighting the demons. Then the angel would come to the mortal world to ask for help.
