A treasure chest that chomps on your hand, an aggressive carpet that will literally sweep you off your feet or a marble statue warrior that just won’t quit is many of the deceptive monster types that would be a fine addition to Diablo’s roster because when furniture suddenly unleashes an all out assault, you will take notice and wished you could make a return on these décor items.

Where would the Mimic fit in Diablo’s archetypes? Make it a thief! It steals gold and items in your inventory then scampering away from you into the darkness to pose as another innocent treasure chest would be a solid reminder to take caution when approaching these environmental articles and that anything in this world is dangerous and evil.

Watch out, that flag pole is making a hissing sound! Activate your Sprint skill and make a run for it Baba!

The idea of having steam-type achievements in D3 is horrible. When you exaggerate the console/arcade type aspects of a game like this, you kill the atmosphere. Floating numbers, stimpak potions, no portals, and now achievements - this is sounding more like Robotron than Diablo every day.

I gota agree with you. Trying to add too much is not a good idea. Less is more.

As long as they don't make it too complicated, I agree with this idea. But they shouldn't take out too much time to get it done as it's not really THAT important.

They might have a person that works on the small stuff like this so maybe it wouldn't be a waste of time :P

I like that idea. Random townsy stuff like that is something that makes you wonder why it is happening and creates an atmosphere of real living people.

I would like to see some very hard fights especially whit bosses, i mean in order to kill the boss you have to find out what is his week spot - spell skill combo in the right moment.

I like this thought. It reminds me of House of the Dead where the bosses flash a spot on their body and you have a limited time to shoot it and do damage to them. I think if Blizzard can implement a boss that is invulnerable but has a 3-4 second phase where it is vulnerable, this would be a boss I would love to tangle.

Yeah I think alot of quests will be randomized except for maybe main-quests.
Some side-quests could be attainable for anyone, quests that give +stat, +skill, etc... It's possible, I don't see why they wouldn't implement it.
I like the idea, in d2 was cool cuz it gave you the chance of getting stronger by other ways than just killing and killing to get Xp. I hope it makes a comeback but not just like in D2, they could make the quests even cooler and creative..

like for example, the quest could be that you gotta search, find and kill a unique monster somewhere in a dungeon or a whole region. You wouldn't have any hints except for his name. The reward could be a permanent bonus in the form of a book, scroll or potion (like d2).
I think this would be cool cuz the quests would have the same goal for everyone; Search and Destroy, but the monster and his location would be randomized. So +Replayability. :D

Even if the bonus for killing the monster is +5 hp, I'd do it all week.

Quest items that give additional health, resistance, stat or skill points were a must for any character to develop maximum potential and survivability but will it make a come back to Diablo 3? Possibly in a different form or it may stay the same through quests but how would this work with the auto stat in place?

posted a message on Plague of Toads Variations
At first glance, Plague of Toads can be considered as a lame skill. Three toads slowly hopping towards an enemy will bound the enemy think, 'Holy crap move out the way!' But the rune system can change up this skill and here are some idea variations that could possibly make this skill great.

    1. Giant Toad - Creates a Giant Toad that gobbles up the Witch Doctor as he hides inside the toad. While inside, the Witch Doctor has added poison resistance and cannot cast spells but uses the Giant Toad's abilities such as leap to jump out of danger or tongue lash to knock back enemies. If the toad dies, several toads explode in the Giant Toad’s position and deals poison AoE.

    2. Devour Toad – The Witch Doctor bites of the head of a toad, consumes it and then vomits out his contents dealing poison damage in front of him debuffing the targets, slowing them and reducing their damage.

    3. Flaming Toads - Release a handful of flaming toads that deal fire and poison damage to anybody who steps on them. I would crap in my pants if I saw a real flaming toad hopping towards me, wouldn’t you? Also, this reminds me of the flaming, brown paper poop bags you find when you open your front door during Halloween. Ahh! Who isn't frightened?

posted a message on The New Character Should Be A Pirate!
If they revealed pirate as a fifth class, how popular would you think it'd be? I would suspect that it would be the least favorite class out of all characters and it wouldn't have the 'wow' factor if revealed at Blizzcon.

I don't think this will play into the fifth class. The fire fx most likely to mobs, traps, special events and to the few skills that have fire since you can pop a rune into them and make it different.
