posted a message on BOUNTIES: What strategy do you use to farm bounties??

The most effective would be to splitfarm in a group with speed builds (Manajuga WD, Uliana Monk with In-Geom, WW Barbs, etc.) and skip all non-essential mobs, and not pick anything up except for Death's Breath and legendaries.

Key Wardens you could kill if you run into them, but going out of your way to find them will slow you down. Picking up things will leave you without bagspace for all bounty bags unless you periodically go to salvage things, which again will slow the group down.

posted a message on question about waste/Ik set and restraint and focus

Whirlwind triggers one, and you can use an ability like Bash (Instigation rune) for the other. In your case you'd swap out Rend, since it's a fairly useless ability, provided you don't need it for the IK cooldown reduction.

Just wonder why hexing pants with 5pc waste set + coe +rorg isnt used. Could some pls explain?

Because Focus and Restraint simply are better. The damagebuff is multiplicative, which means when you have both of them up you're sitting at a total of 125% increased damage. That being said, F&R are mostly (only) used by Barbarians for group play or when speedfarming.

For solo pushing (in season) you'd use Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac with Convention of the Elements for permanent Ignore Pain and Wrath of the Berserker. For solo pushing in non-season I imagine you'd use Ring of Royal Grandeur with 4-set Immortal King, 6-set Wastes and with either Convention of the Elements or Unity.

    Uhm.... Barbarian?

    Here you go:

    Quote from Jay Wilson »
The barbarian is the only returning class. Originally we actually planned to have no returning classes, but as we developed the barbarian, it essentially ended up turning into a barbarian. We sort of got to the point where we went – because we actually had a different name for him originally - I think were going to call it this other name and everyone else is just going to call it the barbarian, so maybe we should just call it the barbarian. One of the things we really did not want to do – it's why we set that initial goal to not repeat classes – was, we didn't just want a rehash; we wanted to make the sequel and the sequel has new gameplay and new experiences. I know a lot of people really love the classes in Diablo 2 and it's not my desire to intentionally arc those people – I like those classes to; I love the Necromancer, he's my favorite class from Diablo 2 – but as our goal we really wanted to provide new experiences; that was our focus.

The problem is Blizzard specifically stated they wouldn't reuse any of the old classes. At least not directly. Arguments can of course be made towards the Crusader basically just being a Paladin.

If they were to introduce the Druid there is also a bunch of other issues involved, like the fact that the iconic Werebear ability is a concept already used by the Witch Doctor, although not in a shapeshifting sense. The beast pets, like the Wolf and the Ravens are also used by the Demon Hunter. Twister, Tornado or Hurricane-esque abilities, and Molten Bouder or other elemental abilities are similarly used by the Wizard and the Witch Doctor.

If they were to find some loopholes to re-introduce it (introducing the.. shapeshifting Shaman!) and manage to capture the essence of the class without simply rehashing other classes abilities, and if they were to make a shapeshifting system that works and is fun, I'd be eager to test it out though.

Actually, one of the Diablo concept artists created a bit of Druid artwork some while ago. So maybe?

Demons don't work quite the same way in Diablo as they do in the Warcraft universe. They're not likely to bend to the will of a mortal. Also, the gameplay of a Warlock would be too similar to Witch Doctor if the focus is on pets, and too similar to Wizard if the focus is destructive spells.

I think the most likely, and most different class they could (re)introduce would be the Druid. Other than that I wouldn't be surprised to see an entirely new concept, like the Blood Mage suggestion that was posted some months ago.

The music. It was intense, frightening and claustrophobic. To me, the original atmosphere of the Diablo games. Few areas in D2 and D3 come even close.

People who think they'll be announcing D4 are pretty naive. You got to understand that Blizzard is a company, and the developers hands are tied by profits. They won't release D4 until D3 has been completely exhausted.

Why invest triple the money and time into a new game engine and system when you can spend a minimal amount of effort on an expansion with the same price tag and the same number of people will still buy it?

If they're hiring an art director now that'd mean they're incredibly early in the project. Probably too early to actually give out any concrete information at this years Blizzcon. Maybe we'll get an expansion announcement, but any actual gameplay footage or additional information I sincerely doubt.

Swap Furious Charge for Threatening Shout - Demoralize and Brawler for Ruthless. Farm a Hellfire neck with Berserker Rage as your 5th passive (the point of Demoralize is use it to herd huge packs of mobs together in large areas). Change your Battle Rage rune to Bloodshed. I assume you're already using Ignore Pain IIB over Sprint for GR's. Use the Pain Enhancer over Gogok of Swiftness and try to snapshot a huge IAS Whirlwind early in the rift that you can use all the way including on the Rift Boss.

Those are the obvious things. That being said, most of it is getting fixed as of next patch so investing a lot of time into farming the Hellfire neck or leveling your Pain Enhancer is basically a huge waste.

Rift bosses will always take a shitload of time for you. The only thing you can do to maximize efficiency is to kill the trash even faster, then hope for an easy, slow boss with adds and a huge hitbox. Some bosses will not be doable for you even at 53. Once you reach GR58 or higher the only killable boss is Stonesinger. Even if you could instantly spawn the other bosses as you got into the rift you'd not make the timer.

posted a message on Suggestions and advice on this build 4 IK/6 Wastes

Not really sure what you're aiming for. Pushing higher greater rifts, or just getting higher DPS for speedfarming?

Not to blurt out the obvious, but rerolling the IAS on your amulet for a socket and putting a Bane of the Trapped in there would net you a massive DPS gain. Same can be said for your non-socketed ring. I don't remember if Taeguk was implemented this or last season, but that one by itself is a massive damage and toughness boost. If you can't use that one, try out Gogok of Swiftness.

Personally I also prefer running with Bul'kathos weapons over Immortal Kings, with full 6-set Wastes and Focus & Restraint for lower GR's where I don't need permanent uptime on Wrath of the Berserker and Ignore Pain (those rings by themselves are a 125% damage increase). If you swap to BK weapons and F&R, swap Rend for Bash Instigation (or another generator of your preference) and Ancients with Ignore Pain IIB or Sprint Marathon. Also you should swap out Animosity for Boon of Bul'kathos or Brawler.

Next up: whenever you are doing greater rifts purely for farming gear and experience it's generally a very good idea to put an experience gem in your helm. In greater rifts the 41% bonus experience gives you overall 41% more experience which is absolutely huge. Paragon levels are one of the best ways to increase DPS and survivability, and should be prioritised.

Lastly swap out your resist all gems with strength ones. It shouldn't be needed with resist all gems unless you're really pushing high GR's. If you need the survivability, try out Ignore Pain IIB instead.

If you do all of this your overall DPS should basically triple.

Edit: And one last tip. Whirlwind snapshots your AS from the moment you activate the ability. This means, since you're running with Pain Enhancer, that you will want to quickly re-cast Whirlwind whenever you're in the middle of a big pack (preferably with Wrath of the Berserker) to reach a higher breakpoint with your Dust Devils, courtesy of the Pain Enhancer bleed. This will be fixed as of next patch, but for now it's an excellent way to push higher DPS.

posted a message on Paragon talk, lets get to the bottom of it.

Many of the top players have been spending this entire season on one leeching character simply speedclearing greater rifts. Now, end of season, they relog to characters they've gotten geared by other players in their speedfarming groups; characters which they have no more than a few hours played on, and are grabbing top leaderboard spots from people who have played the respective classes for hundreds upon hundreds of hours.

The power advantage a top paragon player has over an average paragon player is like the top paragon player being full max-rolled ancient while the average paragon is still wearing badly rolled non-ancient pieces. It's absolutely huge and no factor of skill is going to outweigh it.

posted a message on Should i keep playing or not?

Scrap it on the console and buy both the vanilla game and the expansion on PC. Then start playing once next season launches, likely in the end of August (everyone starts fresh so you won't be behind at all).

Regardless of if you stick to console or not though, if you like the game the expansion is definitely worth the purchase. It adds a lot of content.
