posted a message on D3 dead? or just the season?

But you really cannot blame people for playing Grim Dawn, it was officially released today :D OFC people are going to play it (as it has very good reputation, it is fun and different, i play it too, and it is new..

question is; will diablo re-atract players who are now "leaving" for other games. Will Blizz put their game to a new gear, or just roll with the current formula untill Diablo 4 is released in some far far away future?

posted a message on D3 dead? or just the season?

Well this season had very little to offer. Handfull of new sets (as usual), new group meta that everyone starts to play (as usual) and few new gems (as usual). So yeah, peeps get tired of basically repeating the same thing they did last season and season before that; grind paragon. Oh and the botting, it kinda makes the game feel pretty pointless to competitive people.

As Diablo 3 is now, it has very little to offer for players who have played it more then two or three seasons. Replay-value between seasons is very low, grind new sets, grind a couple of new gems, build a new support class = season done, rest is only endless paragon farm and botting.

posted a message on Banwave for botters incoming ?

Blizz should be thinking very hard about why is cheating so popular in this game, why people do it and how they can improve their game in ways that reduce the incentive to cheat.

People cheating with bots clearly shows that people are willing to keep their PC's on 24/7 grinding.. so maybe there is too much grinding? maybe the unlimited benefits of paragon are just a bad design?

Im all for the banwave, and hope it comes.. but at the same time, if nothing is done about the paragon problem (and others) people are just gonna get a new key (good bizz for blizz) and wait for an update to rosbot/thud/whatever and continue. And the problem (botting) is getting more widespread patch by patch.. so..

Banning is like curing the symptoms of a disease. We need a fix for the root reasons, not just the symptoms (botters).

PrydaTVlive just stop feeding the potato farming-troll. He is here just to mess with you by the age old "pc-masterrace vs. console peasants" tact, nothing more :)

To clarify the issue, the patch notes on the PS4 (you can view them by selecting the options button and displaying the notes) clearly says gems are capped at 100, so it is not actually a bug. Rather, it is a very strange (and I think poor) design choice.

To further clarify, all previously boosted gems were "truncated down" to Level 150. In other words, legit gems can only be leveled to 100, but previously boosted gems all sit at 150.

I can only speculate, but if there was a bug at all, it is probably more likely related to the fact that the boosted gems got nerfed to 150 rather than 100, but that seems unlikely as well.

Anyway, as said I think it was a terrible choice given legit groups are pushing past 100. I've been part of a "non modded" group that has beaten 102 and has been chasing 103 for a couple of weeks now. Honestly, my best guess is that when the patch went live, Blizzard probably didn't think people were going to be able to push past 100, which I think demonstrates a lack of a deep understanding of their own game, or more specifically the potential of some of the builds they have defined.

    This a thousand times.
There was no real change to modders/cheaters gems. Now they are using their tools to add stats like +10000% damage to gems, rather then just pumping gem levels to sky high.

And people who are playing legit, and there is plenty of them around, have had their progression in the game pretty much stomped at GR100 because of this. I have a pretty solid group that enjoys the game fair and square. We have cleared, legit group, GR105 and 'grinded' lvl100's but since the past week have hardly played. We got our main gems, about ten each, to lvl100 and there is nothing else to do with the group. We are now held back simply by this "design" obstruction, which is in no way preventing modders/hackers of doint their thing. I really don't see the point in this.

Yeah been stuck with this issue myself on PS4. This must be related to blizzard hard-capping gem of ease to prevent experience exploiting. Would be nice to get an answer from dev/blue that blizz is actually aware of the issue :)

posted a message on Invoker Punish vs. LoN Bombard?

Well it is not as braindead as you put it here, dammit! :D

I play on PS4, but as the game is almost the same I think I can comment a bit. I played the invoker when the patch arrived, used that to get my hands on aquila quiras (the updated version) and heart of iron. Rest items for LoN I had already on me. I play on PTR with PC and had tested the build out there so I knew what to gear for. Anyways. There is a couple of things you do with the build besides just "run around and wait for belt of the trove".

Firstly; you time your attacks with COE circle. You attack with bombardment when COE-phys is up. If you have consecration in your build you can use that when ever you want, it updates it damage numbers dynamically so it picks up COE-buff even mid effect. But Bomba snapshots it's damage values from the moment it is casted = use it with only coe phys up.

Secondly; it is fun. Seriously fun. You run around, I use perma steed even on GR pushes (my highest is GR84) if you want or then mix it up with skills like shieldglare or even provoke. Depens on your gear really. If you get massive luck, and get thorns damage on *all your gear* you can run the build w/o heart of iron and still have 300k thorns, and you can drop heart of iron from cube and use it with i.e. strong arm bracers and use condem vacuum to buff your damage.

So yes; if you are not pushing the build is very simple, if you are pushing and/or dont have perfect gear then it becomes interesting :)

Alkaizers videos show you one play style:

And here is more mobile playstyle from me (this is PS4 gameplay, but will apply to PC also):

And my "buildguide" or thoughts of the build:

TL;DR it is not as boring as it looks, have hope! :D

Have same kind of problem, but with speedfarming t10. Typically the monsters will not be killed once i run over them with steed, and i will have to go around and run past them again for 2-3 times... Any suggestions on how to improve my character, other than the obvious change the pants/bracers/shield which i've been trying to replace for days :P

    Here's the profile: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Mörrisetä-2740/hero/71766983

    Thanks in advance :)

Well, this is a thorns build and you dont have thorns damage on your gear. So you cannot do thorns damage to enemies, hence the very low hits you are making.
Thorns is a secondary stat but for this build is piority #1 on like half of the pieces. It should be your priority #1 on the items were you can roll 9500 thorns damage, and your secondary priority where you can roll 3500 of it. From these 3500 max value items it is not critical if you miss out on some, but for the 9500k items you should have all of them as close to max as you can!
If you have only thorns gem in your weapon + boyarsky, you are missing something like 30-40% of your total thorns value, and it is even worse if your boyarsky is under lvl80 or so.

    TL;DR

You have f****d up every single reroll of your items, and your items-set is unsuitable for progress or T10 farming.
