Quote fromwoot? sorcs used to be really great even before synergies.. bone necs were a bit weak but they were still strong in pvp.. javazons were powerful. Hammerdins didn't work in LOD iirc but in Classic they were the strongest option for a paladin.
There was more build options than now.. with synergies yes you have to put so many points to useless skills, just to make your main skill powerful enough to kill someting in Hell.
Back then you could make dual and tri tree sorcs easily and they were quite powerful in Hell, nowadays you need to have kickass gear to make dual tree work good in hell. Also many other paladin builds than hammerdin were really good (zeal, vengeance etc)
which is all the cause of strengthening all the monsters XD
all they did was make them too strong
and since some of them cant even be stunned its just annoying x3
i mean sure some classes can beat them
just not many builds can without pretty much the best equipment in the game xD
most who rely on summoning will prob need hacked charms to make them anywhere near strong enough to work in hell
i mean i dont even think they even looked at the hell stats when they implemented them
a hell zombie and quill rat has pretty much similar stats to prime evils from the past difficulties
but they come in huge numbers
just prime evils have more resistances so the zombies die a lot faster
unless you equip your merc with a runeword mercs are just downright useless
so ya i think they just over estimated how strong synergies were gonna be
but synergies themselves are fine
the flaw is with the actual skills themselves
i think the amazon just doesnt have too many crazy damaging skills like the other classes have
they need to also fix the att rating big time
most of the time even if the % hit is like 85% itll still miss the later enemies in nightmare difficulty like 10 times in a row and then finally get maybe one hit
that is for melee chars
so if they fix all those i dont see how synergies could be a bad thing
all synergies do is make it so you arent keep your skills at lvl 1 until your lvl 30 or 24 xD
if they took that out in D2 it wouldnt be all that fun for me
actually the only reason i still play it is cuz synergies changed the game from before =3
go team synergy! xD

It's certainly not impossible

But ya this has been confirmed a while ago, plus hes one of the only lesser evils not yet destroyed

I just want Hydra though, always been my favorite spell in every game lol. I want to experiment rune combinations for hydra mainly.

Casting Speed probably won't even be a possible suffix on a great axe or a long sword. There are many such ways to limit what weapons you want to aim for per class. I don't believe the game will be so one dimensional in the end, but maybe you might come across such times where your using a axe instead of a wand for that reason. But just until you find a wand that's much better.
Resource suffix' might be a possible limitation as well. What if the resource buffs don't carry over to translate to other classes. That would make a huge gap in what weapons you want in the end.

Casual as stated far above does not mean easy as well. It just means giving people who don't play at least 20 hours a week, a chance to get good items and catch up with other people who beat normal difficulty. Often people who play casually still complete all the content of the game, just at a much slower pace.
Honestly its not even a game style, its just common sense on how to create a game. You don't want a game like WoW where once you commit to playing, you lose 8 hours of your day automatically after all.
In the end, a game made for casual people can be just as enjoyable for hardcore players as well. Giving hardcore players better loot and things like that will eventually lose the skill aspect of the game as well. Completely overpowering other players isn't really fun for both sides after all. The idea I believe blizzard is shooting for, is two people who beat the game and are around the same level. Should stand roughly an even chance in PvP. But perhaps someone who completes Act 1 Nightmare. Would just blow away people who only completed normal difficulty, but probably not so extreme as that lol.

I also want a druid for the reason that, the barbarians and druids had a kind of side story that they could expand on
I would like to see them include druids in an exp, and make special acts or story arcs that includes this

i myself would actually prefer a 3 player cap instead
you could still play LAN type setup games (over internet but in same room)
you just play in groups
anyway the idea of picking 4 class choices and not being able to have 1 of each class expands the strategy of what you want in your party
doesnt even have to be 1 of each
could be something like 2 barbarians, a wizard, and a demon hunter
so i believe the players in game being low is a good thing, so you dont join games whereas you do pretty much nothing cuz your other party members could kill them before you could (more in games with 6 players than with games with like 3 or 4)

that is also the only downside i see the most newer blizzard games
is the lack of LAN
not a whole lot of games do support mods at all
its just ppl find a way to make mods work
in a sense, mods are a form of hacking
so this has no bearing on mods other than no LAN support

i looks actually kinda horrible xD
horrible as in when you change nothing from diablo 2 and just add different areas
the game is gonna end up outdated before it even is released xD

he'd probaly get a ton of changes from 2
so i dont care if they add him or not
if they did they'd make enough changes to where it would fit
but i think the new classes are all original enough to where i could go without the necromancer being playable

the power rune reduced the cooldown to like 2 seconds, plus turned it into a damaging spell too
i wonder if they still have that in there lol

i used scythes on them sometimes in d2
some of the scythe weapons can get pretty retardly strong and be used through all of normal and nightmare
hard to find them though
so for this game i kinda hope they balance the weapon styles out more so there is no strongest weapon type
so you can pick anything and still be just as strong as someone who picked another weapon type
the differences are just in how that weapon is strong rather than some type of sword being the strongest or something =3
also hoping 2 handed axes to be used as 1 handed =3 (though that prob wont happen xD axes are heavy)
