posted a message on Small Typo
First, I would like to say that I love the new Skill Tool!!! Great addition to the site!

This is a small mistake, but I though I would point it out anyway. Under the Paladin skill Tree, the description for Smite, it says "lemporarily" instead of "Temporarily". Very small though! Keep up the good work!

posted a message on Druid Build?
    Quote from "t3hemptyjar" »
So I've only ever played barbs/sorcs, but am really interested in the Druid. I started one a while ago (lvl 5) that I've saved stat/skill points for. I don't know the first thing about them though.

What build do you recommend for single player? I've read through a bunch (http://strategy.diii.net/searchcat.php?cid=31) but don't really know which I like. Any input? any that aren't listed there?

Sorry I dont have my Wind Druid Build updated in the wiki, that was me getting side tracked in life, but anywho, I will give you a brief build overview here. Wind druids are my favorite build of every ladder season.

Here is your skill breakdown using the new Diablofans Skill Tool!

    http://www.diablofans.com/tools/skillcalculator.php?class=Druid&build=0010kk0k0k000000000010k1001006l0l0l0l0l0lal00

Max your Elemental skills first and oak sage last, but if you are playing single player, you might buff oak a little early.

Obviously for Stat points, Str enough for gear, dex can vary depending on whether or not you want to go for max block, rest in vit, and none in energy.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!!!

Or how about this: Instead of counting SoJs the servers could keep track of the amount of monsters killed. Once enough monsters have been killed on a server DClone moonwalks ;)

Yea, but this number would have to be massive, just trying to think of how many monsters are killed in just one hour on all the servers is astronomical...the more I think about it, I just start to think it should be random on all servers, but I dunno...

    Anyone else have any thoughts?

Yea, this will definitely keep D3 more challenging that D2, because I still think D2 is a walk in the park..

I expect duel match making with pre-setted rule unbreakable. like no potion and you CAN'T take a potion... Because d2 it's too easy to break it...

Yea, I vote for better support of dueling in D3, setting options, official tourneys, etc...

This. Real duelers never use pots while in the middle of a duel. So no problems for pvp there.

This ^^ Using a pot in the middle of a duel = immediate disqualification

Nice summary, I wasn't aware of the change to the dialogue cut-scenes. I don't really understand it, does this mean that dialogues don't exist anymore? Will the character still be able to ask the NPCs for gossip and quest information? I'm a bit confused. How are things different from the Diablo 2 system in terms of NPC communication?

Basically they removed the cut scene of the camera zooming in to the conversation between the character and the NPC; they believed that it took away from the action of the game and slowed things down. The current system will still allow you to talk to NPC's and hear the lore if you choose, it will just not zoom in a take you out of the game, per se. I believe the current system allows the sound of the NPC talking get louder the closer you are and start to fade as you walk away from them. Does that make more sense?

^ It is thinking like this that causes Blizzard to redesign how skills work. Blizzard doesn't want everyone to just bypass the early spells and max out end level ones. I think that they will be making first level skills effective end game through leveling and skill runes. Blizzard wants every class to have a multitude of different skills to use and not just the same three at high level. I think that this is why they got rod of the tier system.

I think Skull of Flame will still be very effective throughout the entire game. I would like to add the rune that causes it to splash and leave an AoE.

I believe this is why they tried to add synergies in D2 1.10 to try to get people to max/use earlier spells, but it really didnt work out too well, because you just used those early spells to buff the end level ones. Also in the process they limited the number of builds that would be viable...I am interested to see how their skill system works, though it will be a while before I can try it out :(

I agree, I would like the floating bars. To me, it would be easier to see who I am damaging and how much. I love that Blizzard play tests to determine what works and what doesn't. I never fear that they will make a huge mistake.

I agree with the floating bars, this will make it much easier to see how much life is left and who's life it actually is...

Hmmm. You have a very good poll there. I'll need to think about this one.

I like the SOH idea, but maybe after you get the SOH, you cube it with some other item to get a portal which will take you to DClone, so like a combination of them all.

Yea, the only problem I have with the SOH idea, is that in my opinion Uber Tristram>DClone, obviously, so I think it only benefits the rich/powerful players who are strong enough to beat Tristram. So, it kinda limits the general population/poor from ever seeing DClone; atleast with the current system, a poor player might still be lucky enough to spawn him if they are in the right game. See where Im going with that? Is that logical?
