Thanks for your input! I've actually added a note into the Raiments Set Dungeon build guide based on your comments to use the Nemesis Bracers, it would actually raise Raiments a couple of ranks in terms of ease of Mastering Set Dungeons.

It's lucky you got the Wastes one without many tries, chances are you'll at least get one of two dungeons with great spawns so you don't hae to look for the one or two missing monsters, but it looks like you got them in other dungeons haha. Firebirds for me didn't take many tries, but I've taken into account all the mucking around you have to do with your gear and skills when ranking that Set Dungeon.

Well, challenge says you need to hit 20 different enemies, if you don't oneshot big purple dude and hit him again, that doesn't count as different enemy, that's why it fails. But if you don't oneshot him, then just use bolas to finish him.

..them taking ricochet damage from impaling other minions..

You sometimes need to read the Set Dungeon Objectives very carefully! The Shadow Set Chain objective is 'Chain consecutive bonus damage impale hits on 20 different enemies'. Now the 6 Set Shadow bonus reads 'Impale deals an additional 40000% weapon damage to the FIRST enemy hit'. From this, you can see that if you're using the ricochet rune, it will only apply the bonus damage impale to the first enemy, any subsequent enemies hit by the ricochet of the rune will break the chain. I suspect both the Ricochet and Overpenetration runes will cause the objective to fail, I'll update the build guide accordingly.

A more clear example of reading the objective and using a specific skill/rune is the Delseres Set Dungeon, where you have to reflect 200 projectiles. There is only one skill/rune which reflects projectiles (as far as I know for Wizard), namely Wave of Force - Impactful Wave, so you have to use this. Some Set Dungeons are very specific, whereas others have many different options to achieve Mastery.

True, I really don't remember the Inna's Set Dungeon too well but it looks like it took a few seconds to kill the elites in my run which I cleared in one or two attempts, and that would have been with decent gear at paragon 800+. I was making a generalisation on the damage output required overall for all the Set Dungeons, certain dungeons definitely benefit from having more damage (Raiments is one for instance).

I've updated the weapons in the guide slightly, but if you find you're low on damage you could change the Fleet Footed passive to something more offensive like Mythic Rhythm/Momentum/Determination. If you have enough cooldown, you could also summon the allies to deal a large amount of damage to the elites. It might be worth using the Inna's Reach weapon for the higher 2-hand weapon damage as well by using the Kanai's Cube Skill of Nilfur recipe to change one of your Inna's items.

Yeah there are a whole bunch of YouTube videos but the majority of them were made during PTR, which makes it confusing for people attempting the Set Dungeons now.

In terms of Set Dungeon difficulty, I think the Delseres Set Dungeon is slightly more difficult than Firebirds Set Dungeon but the Firebirds set just requires so much more item and skill set optimisation that it wins out on overall difficulty.

In any case, the reason that so many people are attempting Firebirds in the first place is that it is simply the first set that Wizards get from straight from Haedrig's Gifts. The majority of the players also play this game casually and don't fully understand the mechanics of the set and the skills required to get the set to work for this Dungeon, so I can understand why they get so frustrated with it and hopefully the build guide can help them out.

As you'll see in my updated Firebirds Set Dungeon Mastery video, I actually did it without Talisman of Aranoch, but it requires very good positioning and dodging as well as the usual bit of luck with monster spawns.

In terms of difficulty of the Set Dungeons for the classes overall solo, I'd rank them (easiest to hardest):

    1. Demon Hunter
    2. Crusader
    3. Monk
    4. Witch Doctor
    5. Barbarian
    6. Wizard

Basically the Wizard Set Dungeons have a lot of middle to hard-ish difficulty dungeons, while Witch Doctor and Barbarian have one super difficult dungeon. The Monk has middle difficulty dungeons while the Demon Hunter and Crusader have mostly simple dungeons.

Just take your friends like sup barb, sup monk to pull mobs at some specific dungeons. Don't spend to much nerves on this shit.

I am playing wd, was thinking since i have int items i will do it easy, mhm yea. DMO set.... i just almost crushed my pc.. then asked my friend to give me DMO tornado wep and pulling bracers as a result = gg easy.

dunno how am i going to do dh and monk, since i have no dex items at all ...

The primary stat on your supporting gear doesn't really matter at all, most of these Set Dungeons don't require high damage output, so items like Intelligence Leoric's Crowns, Illusory Boots, rings etc are all usable in the Dexterity Set Dungeons. It's more about the Legendary Power than the stats on the gear usually.

Yeah after running a couple of the Set Dungeons a 2nd/3rd time round for various seasonal conquests, I was tempted to rank Unhallowed Essence around 13th/14th instead, but when the patch first hit, a lot of people (myself included) struggled with this, until you started manipulating the monster spawns by restarting the dungeon constantly until you got the majority of the objectives completed at the start.

It's also hard to rank pure RNG objectives like the rockworms in Tal Rashas/Marauders Set Dungeons as some people will just get lucky and clear it first go, others will grind it dozens of times and still get screwed over! The rockworms do spawn in roughly set locations in the Tal Rashas dungeon so it's a definitely easier than the Marauders dungeon.

If you plan on keeping and/or using your Firebirds gear, I wouldn't re-roll it for the sake of this set dungeon! Your idea of crafting a yellow rare wand is great, so you should've just crafted more yellow rare gear on your supporting slots and re-rolled the Vitality off those, rather than ruining nice Firebirds Set gear!

As you can see in my updated video for the Firebirds Set Dungeon, it's possible to do this without the Talisman of Aranoch if you are good at spotting and avoiding attacks from the monsters (I feel playing Hardcore helps with this as well). You don't need to lower your toughness if you're running without the Talisman of Aranoch but you will take fatal damage very easily so it is way more challenging.

Congrats on mastering the set dungeon!

Hmm the only Barbarian Set Dungeon that you need to reduce your damage for is the Earth Set Dungeon. The Wastes Set Dungeon should be more about speed so you can get past monsters before their attack animation finishes and hits you!

If you're still having problems with either dungeon, let me know specifically what you're struggling with!

Yeah I've noticed this too, I suspect that there's an internal cooldown of some sort for the Morlu monsters that come back to life, so you need to wait a bit longer before you can Condemn them again.

I've completed all the Set Dungeons solo, but there's unfortunately no requirement for people to complete the Set Dungeons by themselves. If you are in a party, the party member will get a notification (similar to Boss fights) asking them if they want to join.

Personally I think it's silly that they've allowed party members to assist you in completing the Set Dungeons. I feel that it's fine to allow players to assist you during the Set Dungeon but you shouldn't get an achievement for it. Anyway it's part of the live patch now so there's no point in me complaining!

Welcome to my Set Dungeons Build Guides and Videos!

This thread has some general tips and tricks to completing all the Set Dungeons, as well as individual builds and example videos of how to complete each Set Dungeon SOLO!. The videos and guides are based on the current live Patch 2.4, rather than the various PTR (Public Test Realm) versions where Blizzard were balancing the Set Dungeons. If you get assistance with the Set Dungeons, the majority of these are much easier to complete, but I can't really give you many tips there as I've done all of these solo.

    Crusader Build Guide Thread

    Demon Hunter Build Guide Thread

    Monk Build Guide Thread

    Witch Doctor Build Guide Thread

    Wizard Build Guide Thread

    Some general comments and tips:

    • If you're attempting the Season 5 Conquest for Mastering 8 Set Dungeons and are only plan on playing two classes, by far the two best class choices are Demon Hunter and Crusader. Most of their sets don't require much additional gear so farming up the Sets shouldn't take TOO long and their Set Dungeon difficulty isn't too high. If you have party members to help drop you the various required items, it will speed up the gearing process tremendously. If you play more than two classes, you can pick and choose Set Dungeons from the ranking list below.
    • The majority of monsters in Set Dungeons spawn in completely random locations throughout the dungeon! In Set Dungeons where you have to hit a certain amount of monsters with a particular skill, you can constantly restart the Set Dungeon by leaving through the Green Portal that you entered without having to use Town Portal (which takes a long time). This tip will allow you to get the majority of your objectives completed at the start of the dungeon, rather than worrying about it towards the end.
    • For players who are unable to select certain skills for their slots, you will need to enable 'Elective Mode' by going to the Game Menu (pressing Escape), clicking the Options tab, clicking the Gameplay tab, then under 'Interface' you need to tick the 'Elective Mode' option. This allows you to pick any and all skills (with some special exceptions) for your Left Click, Right Click, and Slots 1-4.
    • The Kanai's Cube recipe (Skill of Nilfur) which converts Set Items into a random item of the same Set will be your best friend, so DON'T scrap any spare duplicate pieces of the Set until you have at least 5 or 6 total items of the Set!
    • As mentioned above, it's possible to get party members to assist you in Set Dungeons, which will make the majority of these Set Dungeons easier.
    • For Hardcore players, please make sure you attempt these Set Dungeons on 'NORMAL DIFFICULTY'. Also ensure that the rough area around the Set Dungeon is clear of monsters before you attempt it, in case you take fatal damage! When you take fatal damage, a Green Portal spawns in front of you which takes you back to the entrance of the Set Dungeon but DOES NOT HEAL YOU. Therefore a monster can easily take a swipe and kill you. This also means you should avoid using the Moratorium Legendary gem (thanks to user 'Cyberdoc' for bringing this up) at all costs if you play Hardcore, because the gem can 'stagger' and deal damage to you even after you exit the Set Dungeon and kill your character because normal Hardcore death rules apply once you've re-entered the normal world via the Green Portal. An easy fix for Blizzard would be to simply spawn characters at full health when they exit the Set Dungeon, but this is currently not the case.

Below is the overall difficulty of each Set Dungeon - Easiest to Hardest based on my own experiences roughly (your own attempts may vary!). I've started with Easiest so it's clear for anyone wanting to get the Conquest to Master 8 Set Dungeons. Note that the rankings below are just a general idea, it will greatly depend on how comfortable you are with the class and set, as well as supporting gear and RNG in the Set Dungeons.

    Difficulty Solo (Easiest to Hardest)

    1. Invoker - Crusader
    2. Natalyas - Demon Hunter
    3. Immortal King - Barbarian
    4. Shadow - Demon Hunter
    5. Zunimassa - Witch Doctor
    6. Innas - Monk
    7. Arachyr - Witch Doctor
    8. Sunwuko - Monk
    9. Earth - Barbarian
    10. Light - Crusader
    11. Helltooth - Witch Doctor
    12. Tal Rasha - Wizard
    13. Marauder - Demon Hunter
    14. Akkhans - Crusader
    15. Vyrs - Wizard
    16. Rolands - Crusader
    17. Unhallowed Essence - Demon Hunter
    18. Ulianas - Monk
    19. Raekor - Barbarian
    20. Raiment - Monk
    21. Delseres - Wizard
    22. Firebird - Wizard

Since I'm getting requests by people to recommend the easiest Set Dungeons to do, especially for the Seasonal Journey, I've gone through each of the classes and ranked them based on my own personal experience. Note that depending on how comfortable you are with the class and set, as well as gear and RNG in the Set Dungeons, your experiences may vary!

Can I make another request? Since you've done all 24, it would be interesting to have a dedicated thread (in General Discussion) where you rank all 24 of them. Because people have to pick 8 set dungeons for the mastery, I'm sure many would be interested in that. For example, I did all 4 of the WDs and then wanted to do all 4 of the wizard, but found that 3 of the wizard dungeons are similarly annoying as the Jade dungeon (only Tal's is really easy). So I'm postponing that til a later date ;-) Then I've read about how easy the barb dungeons are and regret not having picked up more barb loot when I had the opportunity.

Care to make such a thread in General Discussion? At the end, you could link to all your 6 class threads, and in this thread I'm sure other people could discuss what they think their ranking is - as it's probably not the same for everyone, and also differs when you accept help from a friend.

Sure thing, I'll post it in the General Discussion soon :)
