The new metagame has made botting extremely convenient to the point everyone that wants to seriously compete has to do so.
Bots are not efficient. Bots do stuff for you so you have more time to play efficiently. It's not like people that spedrun 75+ and farm 550b xp/hour are betterthan bots; it's that these people have a bot that farms by itself 30b XP/hour and GR keys/mats on top of that for 10+ hours/day.
Look at the new video from mannercookie, where he shows RoSBot in action. It is highly efficient.
Grin Reaper at least doubles your damage. My testings verify that for the majority of cases. You get two mimics that can cast your spells without cooldown and do 90% of your damage while they get all your multipliers from gear?! NOTHING in the cube comes close to it. And I mean no item in the entire game for any class.
First: Gift your weapon and make the socket into 10% damage. Please.
Second: Enchant 15% meteor damage on boots instead of life reg or preferably all res and on helmet instead of armor (you could go for 1000 vit at first if you feel you primarily lack survivability).
Third: Please put 15% hydra damge on your shoulders instead of armor or in your case, since its only 10% area damage, instead of that. Hydra damage on gear is its own multiplier, so it is very important when playing with serpent sparker. Also put 15% Life on your belt instead of the shock pulse damage.
Fourth and most important: lern to play the build. Keep moving around and keep practicing the rotation of the spells and the positioning of your hydras.
With your gear you could do 50+, if you already struggle at mid thirties you are doing something wrong. When you manage the build better and are able to avoid dying that often you can switch the gems back to offensive gems (zeis, enforcer f. e.).
You can take a quick look at the leaderboards and see that they almost entirely consist of monk/barb and double monk combos up until now and this time it is the other way around: it is support barb and dd monk. At least it was for the entire ptr. But we will have to wait and see what they will do to the fire rune of exploding palm before the patch goes live. Things can still change. Support barb seems to be the only safe bet at the moment.
In the new season with its buffs to characters in general via the cube and else you will get to 800 paragon in roughly two weeks, if you play just a few hours a day and play in groups.
Besides, the chantodo bonus is not additive in the real sense, as it is just a damage source of its own. And the fact that archon stacks give additive damage (+ add armor, resistances and attackspeed) doesnt mean you cant still bump that damage up further by other multiplicators. Of course, stacking different multiplicators is more effective in general, however in the end it doesnt matter whether the damage is additive as long as it gives you higher total damage. The fact that the Tals bonus is multiplicative doesnt mean that it is superior, it can easily be far under that of Vyrs despite being multiplicative.
I am well aware that the post I referred to was over a month old. All I was saying was that he shouldn't make matter-of-fact-statements where he was simply guessing. People are so sure about things that in reality they just dont know (and in this case could not know). My statement still stands. I am also not sure why you have to insult me or assume that I didnt think before writing. Especially when you were not even able to read my short post carefully enough to get the point of it.
Yeah true dat, it only cleared a Gr 69 with non perfect gear and under 800 paragon+ under 70 gems, but tal still takes a dump on it I guess. Why are people always claiming things so matter of fact-confidently, when they just are not even able to know those things at a certain point in time?!

There are NO bots in D3, it is technically impossible to program it. I am a programer myself, I know what i am talking about.
