okay im not a huge contributer to this forum but i check it all the time becuase i cant wait for diablo 3 to release. im always looking for tidbits of information about d3, and bashiok has really quenched my thirst for info. BUT bashiok... it seems like everytime you respond to someones ideas about d3 you totally belittle them with a vicious sarcastic remark. is that really necessary? i mean i would love to work on d3 and if i did, my ears would be wide open to ideas from true fans of the game. i have some seriously good ideas for d3 but im terrified to post them cuz i know il just get some tude from you. so go ahead and u guys make YOUR game. dont listen to us okay? were obviously just fucking idiots...

haha okay okay i shouldent have used the elf word. but a glorious tactical melee character is needed and elf fits the stereotype. i myself am not a big fan of elves either but im just trying to think of that paladinish class diablo 3 will settle on. i just think a bow can be added to this character and elf came to mind.

there wasent witch doctors either...

in lord of the rings the elves were asked to join forces to fight the horde. why couldent this happen during the resurgence of the prime evils?

gace it, elf would fit prefect for what the classes are missing.

make a ELF class, there genuine,"good", holy, melee, bow, etc etc. i think elf class would fit like a glove for this missing character.

i really really hope this is a joke. someone please finalize this...

if this is a real d3 character im really disappointed...

i think slight facial customization would be cool.

hair length, facial hair, --- age would be the coolest thing to me.

what i would prefer.. is maybe 5 to 8 different preset faces to choose from.

what is important to me. is customizing the color or tints or your equipment. i hated in d2lod when you join a baal run, and can tell EXACTLY what another character is wearing. how about we tint armor/shoulders/ helmet to truely customize your character. thad be badass.

perhaps not starting off hostile. i just think this idea could lead into some sort of system where you carry a reputation with you throughout the game. example, being able to see the number of pvp kills a character has. his disposition towards characters or his clan or other clans.

the only reason i think this is becuase in d2 you never really had any idea of another players personality or the way they play. ive seen in many other games like oblivion where you can be good or bad. and i like that. imagine a "good paladin in gleaming chrome armor and at the other spectrum a "blood stained evil barb with a belt of human skulls.

again, if that were the case? imagine the battle of evil pirate like clans vs the robin hoods of the d3 world...

it adds a real world principle... just an idea.

I thought at blizzcon they said it would be out in 2009? maybe im wrong. maybe they said 3009.

there was always clan recruitmants in d2, i never joined any becuase i didnt see the point.

how about in d3 there could be a type of clan system in which clan wars and competitions were not set up by bnet but instead a constant battle for supiriority.

i could see many problems with this, such as one large dynasty taking out everyone else...

but there must be numerous ways of monitering moral. also.. i really like the idea of instant hostility with other characters or clan members based on some simple intentions.instead of partying in town, how about starting off hostile and choosing to party. i hated the hostility rules in d2. random pking should be part of the game. and get rid of ears... id rather cut the ring from the hand of a fallen opponent salrawn style...

I think it would be cool to pool some items of mine together in a public/clan stash, and have the opertunity to wage war on another clan "capture the flag" style for the others stash. and then... instead of having individual ladder, you could add a clan ladder.

It just holds some value to me becuase then theres an ongoing gameplay after your done the quests...

and no matter how much you hate being upset. you kno your secretly like it. its part of the game. weve all lost sumthing in d2, been pked, been killed by soulz. games should be difficult and upsetting at times. it makes the good times better...

As a player of diablo 2, i always found myself trying to look as different as possible. i would even trade my good armors for lower level equipment just to look different. i hope blizzard can address this and think they have a with the different shoulder pads etc etc.

In d3 i want to look completly scary, not like wow where you feel like your son or duaghter could curl up beside and love a stuffed animal version of your character.

please blizzard make the customization of how you look , gear wise, as custom as your skills and character type.

I really hope they stick to a medival basis to the game. i was worried when i saw the witch doctor class revieled. i like the witch doctor but i liked the overall theme of diablo one. i dont like the idea of a very distictive class. ie. diablo one ROGUE WARRIOR SORCERER. plus i like the satanic themes of diablo one. and im glad they kept that (a little) in d2. i love exploring dungeons with makeshift surgical tables filled with remnants of guts.

so i hope they dont get too crazy with the new characters. i think we all know they need a ranged bow jav character aswell as another knight character. ive though of numerous names for classifying these two yet to be unvieled characters and im very curious as to what they will name them. also i was hoping there would be more than 5 classes. i hope there will be an expansion with 2 more charcter like d2. although i hated both the sin and druid. i think if they added a druid to d3 he would need to be alot different then d2 druid.

please blizzard stick to the basics. dont get crazy with guns or pirates, or monks/ samurai's. etc etc

Make a paladin type melee char with more skill but less power then the barb...
