I agree, Modern warfare is not modern in warfare at all, It is such a campers game literally noone moves sometimes its extremely annoying, And id really like to see a 25 v25 so I can just see shit flying everywhere now thats modern warfare.
Well, that's another turn off for me for MW2; not to dredge that pot up any more, but 9v9 is weak. I know that a ton of people are still having a great time and having fun, but there's a whole 'nother untapped group of people who love 12v12, 25v25, 35v35, etc. The only MW (CoD4) server I care to play on was a 30v30 RR server. That's insane right there, you have to constantly check your back, keep moving. It's heart and pulse pounding and that's why MW2's dumping of dedicated servers was a disappointment for me and a group of others; we'd like that thrill we got in the original back with all the updation there was.

BF:BC2 has had my attention since the MW2 debacle. Hopefully a month prior to release Dice won't do something stupid. But Bad Company, in all seriousness, looks absolutely amazing, and I've never been much of a fan of the Battlefield series.

I'll probably start on SP, but only until my mates confirm they have it, then we're taking it down together.

Though i don't like your chances for playing it to much anyway as Windows 7 and DirectDraw have a freezing issue that occurs on pretty much any game at random.
Negatory, I've not had a problem with 7 across any of my games, nor have my circle. (Not trying to cock you, just attempting to help narrow down problems. :) )

As I understand it, from what we've already been told, D3 will be one big open world...with the positions of towns fixed, and the dead space between towns having some randomized tiles to provide new encounters but without changing the overall pathway from one town to the next.

I think there will still be "acts" as in, a consistent geographic theme, but you could walk from one act to the other without needing to rely on a cutscene...

So...you would have to walk through all the transitions from start to finish, but you can always jump to a place you've already been using a waypoint for easy access. I think this is the same way it is in Titan Quest.
This. Exactly what I meant. :D You could probably have a cutscene like in D2, but to walk from one end of the other you wouldn't need to take a boat, take a caravan ride, etc. That would be fun.

I just tried it out, and it works fine for me. Windows 7, D2, and my ATI card. Although, it looks funny because of my new widescreen. lmao

About 16 hours in, and it's a lot of what I hoped it would be. I could compare this to LoTR, if LoTR was cool. xD It's very mature, and epic, and I like that. I really really really really want to do a total conversion for this game and make it into an Icewind Dale 3. :D I'm not a DnD nut but I loved those games and if they used this engine and the themes and made that, I'd be in heaven.

EDIT: I bought the regular version at Walmart on Friday and it had Shale in it. *shrugs*

Clearly there should be arms bursting out of the ground in grave yards. What about having crazy burned looking freaks bursting out of the bubbling tar pits? Also, if the monster in the first gameplay trailor can bite off your head as it kills you, i think there should be a death mechanic to the freaky tar pit monsters killing you too.
I'd love to see that. A minor bubble ups into an explosion and some baddies crawl out. That'd be awesome.

I'd think it would be in some rocky, craggy, semi-mountainous region.

A WD skill would be tight as well, no doubt. xD

I'm not sure if by open world you mean living and breathing even when you aren't there, or simply being able to walk between all areas. TQ had the latter, AND acts. :D

posted a message on What's your view on "twitch" gaming?
I don't think twitch gaming is harder at all myself tbh. Games like UT and TF2 (while that's not much of a twitch game) don't require your accuracy to be on par. It's like the first run in dodgeball; whoever gets there first has the advantage. I usually enjoy games that are a good mix of reflex and accuracy, like Dawds.

And when everyone's support, no one is. :D They already said D3 isn't going by traditional roles. And if you watched the monk gameplay video, you'd know that he's definitely not in a support role. :D

Edit: Oh yeah, I feel you there man. IWD1's prerendered backgrounds were sometimes confusing. In the second one though, you could hold down like alt or something and see the chests you could open, barrels, doors, exits, etc. I was so excited when I found that out. lol

Planetscape is amazing. I wish you could still buy it.
You could eBay it....but it can get expensive. :D A couple years ago I checked and it was 80 bucks+ a jewel case. :(
