I know, I know, shame on me, I had an opinion. I didn't have a greater opinion of what it should or shouldn't have been, I just gave an opinion in a review that otherwise praised the game. /meshrugs. And yes, my opinion of the game is different than the 'tards on about D3, because, well, the game is out, and I've, well, played it.

    lmao.

Yeah, it's a totally different game. Definitely not Mass Effect. They just slapped that title on there. [/sarcasm]

    srs troll is srs

That quote disregards the paragraph that preceded it though. I'm quite enjoying my experience, but it's not Mass Effect.

I'm also enjoying making innuendo to anyone I can.

I got it last night, installed it, and played it a bit. I've got to say, I'm a little disappointed. I guess I should have payed attention to the gameplay videos and interviews with the devs and all, but this feels like not the same IP at all. The combat system is fine, they made it better and streamlined combat, but everything feels so...scripted now. The dialogue is bogged down and it feels even more like Good - Bad - Neutral dialogue picks. Not to mention the map/mission system; scripted? The first hour was basically just a OMG I REMEMBER THAT sequence of events/shots/talking, but understandable. In the end, ME2 (so far) isn't a horrible game. It's great and fun, but it's not really the ME IP game. That's hard to say with there only being one game before it, but I loved what ME did and some of the good shit in ME2 could have totally supported that. *COUGH COUGH IMMERSION COUGH*

Yeah, because Godknows the budget of this movie is going to be 2 billion dollars. It has to be if a useless NPC is gonna be represented by Danny Devito.
That's obviously the point of this thread, to see how much we can make Blizzard spend. It's not a wish list or anything.

Morgan Freeman as Deckard Cain doesn't feel right. >.< Maybe it's the voices.

MMORTS' are teh suck. :( Especially one's with cards and blah. But then again, there's not much more some can do with in-browser games. (*cough* *cough* Who wants to play Quake 3 arena anymore? *cough*)

That may also be because we've not seen all of the game yet. In D2 you were following a demon on his path of destruction; in D3 the start of the game is relatively quiet. I think as the game continues we'll continue to see more of what you want.

I'm still one of those people who thinks it's too early to make any decision on the game.

Maybe linked such as the burrowers in Act II of D2 that drop babies? Just another suggestion I suppose. Great thread!

posted a message on I'm missing a dark class bad
The Necro, I believe, was neither good nor bad, light nor dark. He fought against the three to restore balance to the world. If anything, saying he's a dark(er/ish) class is just perpetuating the stereotype that already exists in Sanctuary. (In regards to the Necro.)

The Black Road and Legacy of Blood were my favorite books of them all. :( lol But yeah, if you like the universe, and are curious about lore, then pick them up.

Yes, my only complaint about this game is the difficulty. It's such an up and down roller coaster; my first character went through Redcliffe first and that first Revenant destroyed me. After about five deaths I went all fighter class and barely dropped him with one left alive. Versus my second character now who is rolling though Orzimmar, the Dales, etc.

I perused [the thread] a bit, but I liked in Dragon Age how the default bow/crossbow had infinite arrows/bolts, but you could buy fire arrows, etc. for added damage. Even if your special arrow was ineffective against an enemy you still had your basic bow damage. 2cents. I wouldn't miss anything either way though; I'm not a ranged weapon kinda person. :)
