Why would they run both D3 and D4? That makes no sense whatsoever. What "profits" are they making from D3 at the moment?
Doubt it on the sheer principle that, if Blizzard releases a Diablo 4 right now, they're cannibalizing not only their own fanbase, but any and all potential profits in order to run two games (D3 and D4) with consistent updates to maintain their relevancy to the playerbases. There is nothing D4 can "fix" that an expansion cannot overhaul in its entirety based on the problems I've seen people complain about. Diablo 3 is still, technically, too current and too invested in for Blizzard to say, "Lets drop these X-million concurrent players and attempt to garner back the fewer million to come back."
That's not how it works, in any industry, ever.

Oct 12, 2011Krayzieone posted a message on Diablo III Beta Key SweepstakesI, for one, am glad that Blizzard is finally actually increasing the number of invites being sent out. The 30 or so total handed out to various media casters was just silly. 2,000 is a much better number. Although still not as much as we would all like, it is still a good improvement.Posted in: News

I thought about that, but I think its usage will be limited due to probably having so many monsters in my way. An example would be that I leap and stomp and most the monsters are right in my face. I see some stragglers and use spear, it hits 5 monsters that are already on me.
As far as a fury generator goes, it would be a good addition to supplement the Weapon Throw, but I guess I will have to play around with it. The good thing is that no build will be set in stone. Making small alterations on the fly will be perfectly acceptable.

I think the same type of classes will be present. If the guidelines are correct, it will most likely be similar to the Assassin in D2. A high dps melee similar to the Monk only based on shadow instead of the light.

War Cry seems beneficial for both the Fury and the extra HP/Armor (barb shouts were crucial in D2).
Earthquake I'll be honest is mostly for the lols, but it isn't a bad choice.
Weapon Throw will probably mostly be used if I somehow don't crit with Overpower.
I do think it's a bit odd though that runed Whirlwind costs 0 fury. I'm guessing that is probably a bug, but if it isn't then I will probably throw that in there somewhere.

Although, it would be cool to have a DPS meter and some test dummies just to test certain items out or whatnot.

I have been thinking about this build for a while. It seems kindof odd to not have a base fury generator, but it can be explained.
The build itself relies on more monsters = better.
The process would involve grouping up as many monsters as you can. Using Leap (with rune, drags them in, but I'm assuming it doesn't bring them all the way in.) then Ground Stomp to bring them in melee range and stunning. The main damage output would come from overpower.
Overpower is supposed to reset the CD if it crits on anyone. With no items involved, this build would give you a 31% crit to overpower after the first one. 5% from Ruthless, 10% from scoudrel, 16% from Overpower rune.
I'm guessing that gear will add about 29% crit. So you will have ~60% chance to crit each monster around you and all you need is one to reset the cooldown. Essentially it would be a constant spam of overpower doing great aoe damage around you.
I also added the huge aoe nuke of Weapon Throw as a finisher. I know the 7th rank of the rune makes it 9% per fury. 30 fury from leap and stomp, if shout is off CD, that brings you to 60, and for each hit on you, you gain another 1 fury. Since this would be used as a finisher, the monsters will have SOME time to hit you at least once, possibly generating about 10 fury. 70 Fury - 10 for cost of skill, (60 * 9) 540% + 180% and you are doing 720% to everything around you.
Earthquake as a nice CD to deal with an abnormally large group that you encounter.
Thoughts?

I was never lucky in D2. I was just really good at trading. Randomness is my arch nemesis.

So basically what you're trying to say there is that there will be no amulets for me.

Now, if I could just find a damned gem and amulet.
EDIT: It appears that empty sockets will be one of the random properties that can be assigned to an item. Those legs were supposed to have some regen, and 2 random properties.

It even explains why Azmodan says "THE prime evil" instead of "A prime evil".
I like the idea of "3 will become 1" though. I'm not too sure how it will work out, but I like it nonetheless.
Also, I think the story making a twist into heaven at one point is also a given due to the original quote on the website saying something along the lines of "And the heavens shall tremble".

I'm not saying that it isn't worth trying. I'd be a damn liar if I said I wasn't going to do the same thing.
I'm just saying that if I were a betting man, I'd place my bets on him.

I like it!
I am intrigued by the black soulstone though. The only thing I can think of that makes sense as to what would be more important than ruling Sanctuary to the demons would be either it being the key to bring back Diablo and in turn he will reward Azmodan by making him a prime evil. Or like you said, it can be something to do with the heavens, possibly even being the key to allowing the demons to enter them. (I say them because of the whole debate over how Sanctuary probably has multiple hells thing that came up from the follower in the first gameplay trailer saying "What in the hells is that?")

EDIT: I thought I had spelled it differently, but apparently not. So it was just an answer to a quick glance over that I wasn't 100% sure it was Azmodan. That part was negligible to begin with.

However, I believe that this cinematic can be broken down based on logic.
First we see Leah trying to figure something out. She then shows that she cannot figure out the answer and speaks into the air to her uncle Cain. This tells us that Cain probably is in a place that cannot be reached by her (either dead, taken by the angels for something, the demons, or even possessed.)
Next we see the "black soulstone". At first, I thought maybe this could be a piece remaining from the corrupted worldstone, but they specifically called it a soulstone. So I threw that notion out of the window.
Leah then has a hallucination of some sort eventually speaking to a demon that everyone here is sure of as being Azmodan. Well, we do know that said demon is of higher power to have his own minions, but he also says "Then, at long last, Azmodan shall rein as THE prime evil." Which confuses me on two things. Why would he refer to himself in the third person? Also, why did he mention Azmodan as THE prime evil instead of A prime evil?
However, I regress, I will run with the assumption that he is indeed Azmodan as it doesn't concern me very much. He is either going to be Azmodan or Belial, either way works.
Although, he refers to the black soulstone as "the key". He already tells us that he is about to ravage Sanctuary just to find the damn thing. So the BS (black soulstone) is a key to something bigger than just ruling Sanctuary. Now, since we know from past Diablo experiences, soulstones are used to contain the essence of demons or maybe even other things. What could this soulstone contain that is so important?
I should rephrase that question. What could the black soulstone contain that is so important that Azmodan believes that it will even make him a prime evil?
Lots of questions left to be answered. The story can twist so many different ways as it stands. I for one am very excited.
I look forward to hearing your opinions on all this.
EDIT:
I also wanted to add in that I read someone's opinion earlier that the hallucination that Leah was seeing was a memory from someone else. I agree with this because Azmodan talks to her saying something along the lines of his brethren falling into her trap. I don't think she has been around long enough to have set up a trap for all of his brethren. Since she tried to speak to Cain only a moment prior, I believe it is a memory or vision of Cain's.

As for the cLvl thing, it doesn't hurt to try rather than just say that it is a stupid concept, move on.
I am currently level 10 on the character that I will use to try it. I ran out of time to play today otherwise I would get it done right now. I can do it a few more times after this one. I will post pictures of the rare items I get from killing SK for the first time while being level 13.
To make things a little more interesting, I will also put on all MF gear as I have killed him once or twice where he dropped two rares.
