Just curious if anyone else has attempted to use xfire in relation to Diablo 1, for me its not working. It won't let me load up multiplayer. Without xfire on it works fine. So anyone ever try this is there a bypass of some sort or do they just not mix? I want it mainly so I can keep intouch with the legit community on other realms and to caculate my time playing the game.
Suggestions and comments apprciated.

Feb 7, 2009Posted in: Unannounced ClassQuote from "Magistrate" »I was thinking more of some kind of copy skill, where you can shape shift in to anyone as long as they're on screen to cast it on. I was kinda hoping for that for the Druid back then...
That makes sense, although personally I would prefer special items for shifting as I suggested before. It's been done in many mods and it worked very well. Although there would have to be limitations in what you could shift into... no unique monsters or bosses.

When people's reasoning is just so fallacious, and they're ready to act on their inductive conclusions, they can be pretty scary. And here you have this little demon, and his thinking seems totally inverted, you wonder about what else is going on in his mind. Is he just stupid? Or is the rationale in Hell so different that his plan would otherwise make perfect sense?
And it's these moments in D1 that were always lacking in D2.
Yes, such storyline enhancers were very lacking in Diablo 2. The open ended features such as many tomes with stories, and speaking with demons left creative interpretation on the part of the player. This brought players more into the game, much like a very good book it absorbed the attention of the player. Diablo 2, although excellent in many ways, failed to deliver a game where players became lost within to the extent classic managed to do.
Feb 7, 2009Just curious if anyone could get the picture of Rustweaver, he's the unique Doom Guard from level 13... He has an odd coloring. In fact the warrior I play on multiplayer Classic is named after him.Posted in: Diablo I & Hellfire
Another animation I would like to see is a Black Death, those guys are on my list of most irritating and scary Diablo series monsters.

We kind of saw how stupid they could be, but it was still an interesting notion that they thought they could use it to invoke the power of the sun with the sign.
I thought that was an interesting portion to the game as well, out of the few creatures you talk to in the game most seem quite dimwitted.
Feb 4, 2009I'm all for a shape shifter and actually hope for it, I was partial to the poorly developed were bear of diablo 2. However, I believe if there was to be a shape shifter of some sort it will probably be away from the Wolf/Bear category. I'm thinking perhaps something more unique like a monster type? Perhaps blizzard will introduce shape shift items similar to Wolfhowl and Beast.Posted in: Unannounced Class
Feb 4, 2009My first memorable D1 moment would probably be, as many others, a Butcher encounter. I was young, I can't remember the age but I know it was a weekend and I was up late in my dark wreak room playing with the head phones on...and as soon as I herd "Ah, fresh meat!" I about jumped out my skin. Such a moment, and the feeling of victory after beating him after many many attempts.Posted in: Diablo I & Hellfire
