Initially I didn't like it. My concern was that adding more leg gems just means you have to pick what stat to give up for the leg gem. But using only one, and having it not be useful for GR makes me much more comfortable with it. In my opinion, DB on trash is way to strong and even double DB should be change to an extra DB. This with the DB set is 2 extra per elite.
I would like to see 2 useful gems per situation with a limit that you can only use one leg adventure gem and it can be used in 1 of 3 spots.
Not sure why you think there is resistance. And I never implied that people with a high paragon would be at the top. My point was simply that I don't know how useful this information would be. If rank was a result of paragon level then sure. But I imagine both are a result of time played. I would be more interested in seeing time played vs paragon vs rank. Also played with groups (2, 3 & 4) vs paragon vs rank.
Having information is always interesting. But if somebody would have to collect this then I would like something a little more telling than paragon vs rank.
Even if there was a correlation, I do not think it would qualify as causation. It makes sense that the players at the top of competitive play would have played a lot resulting in high paragon levels. This does not mean they would not have been at the top even if the paragon level was capped.
No, you don't need to worry about any builds going in. The first time you play though the campaign will be fun and easy regardless. Once you hit 70, you start looking into builds. Right now all classes have strong endgame, just some are stronger (DH) and some don't require thought or strategy (barb). And even if you want to change your class, leveling alts is much faster than the first time leveling. Going into it, I wouldn't worry about anything. Just enjoy the trip. You wouldn't know what people are talking about anyways until you have access to the majority of your skills/ruins.
I would love to see the whirlwinds buff ally movement speed. While I love my barb, I hate playing with barbs on my wiz. I'm curious what the devs thoughts are on helping less mobile classes keep up with build such as the ww barb or nats dh in a group setting.
Also, any word on being able to downgrade mats to help with the blue bottleneck?
Maybe I'm wrong but in my experience it would take quite a few lvl 70 rifts to get someone from 1 to 70. Sure you get lvl 70 items, but I would rather save the time and spend it doing lvl 40 GRifts.
Not many. When you are low and try to lvl in a lvl 70 map there is a huge penalty to prevent D2 style power lvling. That is why when power lvling, you have the low lvl character make the game so it is there lvl. Additionally, in T6 they will lvl so fast that the mobs are to low to be efficient. That is why this is such a good method. Each mob that spawns has their lvl set to that of the low lvl character and they keep updating as they spawn. You see similar effects in cursed chest events when you have to kill 100 mobs in the time given. Because of this, I found cursed chests to be the best way to power lvl and it took me about 10 minutes to power lvl 2 people with them.
I get the frustration, but it is also awesome when you get 3 upgrades at 60%. So much of D3 is RNG I think this fits. It could be improved, but for me it is low on the list of things for them to dedicate time to.
I would love to see it there, but I understand why it isn't. Unless another expansion comes out, and I'm not sure it will (or should) I don't expect D3 to be at any more conferences.

Both are very viable. In my experience, the DH is more mobile and the WD is more about hard CC.

If they allow trading down, even at bad ratios, the bottleneck thing would be resolved.
