We will bash every angel and demon we find if that means Sanctuary will be safe!
So I don't think it's impossible that we're going to fight angels.

She wanted to use the power of the Nephalem to stop the conflict and rule everything, if I'm correct. -

Yeah, I should have pointed that out a bit better. Here's a bit of lore history:
[spoil]
At some time during the Great Conflict one of the angels (Inarius) was sick of battle and decided to create a little world of peace called Sanctuary. This was a world cloaked from both the High Heavens and the Burning Hells by means of the Worldstone.
Here, both angel and demon could flee to experience peace, and that's where some mated. The child of this union was called a Nephalem, some hugely overpowered humanlike being stronger than angel or demon.
Inarius saw this creature and altered the Worldstone to dampen their powers. After many generations their powers diminished and that leaves us with the humans we know today.
[/spoil]
But I have no idea what happens when humans die in Sanctuary. Or how new angels or demons are created. I think only the priests of Rathma (necromancers) know the answer to that -

I mean, people in the sanctuary talk in english ? why not change the whole language at the same time ?
We don't know if the people talk English. If it would be another language then we wouldn't be able to understand, so everything is translated to English.
Say you're reading a story about an African village. The dialogue will probably be in English while the natives talk to each other in their native tongue.
I do believe that Sanctuary's Heaven will be a beautiful place, in contrast to the not so happy Burning Hells. What we do know that there are Angels who are not happy with the existence of humans, because they are demonspawn. I don't know how many angels agree to this view, but if there are a lot of them this might end in a giant 3-way battle between Sanctuary/Heaven/Hell.

I haven't read the Sin War trilogy or any other lore stuff. This is only my personal opinion combined with scraps of knowledge I gathered on this site. -

Do you mean the faded green/white?
Because those seem to be

From what I can understand from the code it creates a table with that background color. -
Jan 18, 2010Shatterer posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceAs far as I know those bars scale with the width of the postbit; they don't have a defined width. Maybe that has some implications for those pictures you made.Posted in: News
I like where this is going. -
Jan 18, 2010Shatterer posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceThe only thing that really distracts me is the lvl-up bar. That's probably better in the username-thing, since it seems a bit redundant in the postbit. To me the post-bit should show you the posting habit of the user, not when he gains a new level.Posted in: News
Still, cool system and I'm quite anxious to know what lies ahead. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I think this is what I think of it as well. Also, I don't think this will be good gameplay for Diablo 3.
Reputation is implemented in WoW because you've got a great number of factions, who each does their own thing. You, as a defender of Azeroth, try to find your place in one or more of these factions.
In the Diablo universe the hero wanders through towns looking to kick demonic ass, not to win the grace of the inhabitants.
What could be done is adding a side quest to get some more profitable selling and buying prices in town, just like Radament's Tomb in D2.
I wouldn't make it an entire stat though. It's an interesting idea, but not very fitting.

It's only cool if you know what it's about. Else it's just 3 letters smashed together.
The 5/100 is actually for the dot. I like the dot.

They only recently revealed Diablo III and they aren't really far in the game (I trust Blizzard to speak the truth :P).
Blizzcon was quite soon after WWI so of course we got a huge avalanche of new information. But if they continued with all that info they'd probably give us all the information before the beta is out.
Part of a game is experiencing something new and exciting. If you know all the information in advance, then the game in itself is not that exciting anymore. You still have the thrill of playing a cool game and experiencing it for yourself, but it us get quite boring after a while.
A small stream of news is needed to get the fans interested, but D3 is still far from complete. I do have to admit that the amount of new stuff is lower then I'd have expected, but that'll probably (hopefully) change quite soon.

Anyway, I'm really anticipating your consequences. I wish thee the best of luck.

I also want to say that it's really hard to write stuff normal people are supposed to read when you now a huge amount of little scientific details.
Or it's a conspiracy. It's SO bad, that they don't want the people to know about it

But the Witch Docter will be my first. After seeing Fire Bomb enhanced with that Multistrike rune, I want to bowl with zombies as pins.

I do think/hope that there is a proper site update on its way. Not something we've seen before.
Maybe some lore on those large beasts you see running at the Witch Doctor in the gameplay trailer (when he exists the dungeon).
Or perhaps a screenshot of a Gnarled Walker.
At least something we haven't seen before, something to set our teeth in.
*Edit:
On its way meaning sometime this winter.

As far as I can see, these are the cons:
- Religious fanaticism will increase. More people will be inclined to say that science is all about 'playing God'.
- Maybe stem cells will enhance the human physiology, and use them to bad ends.. Probably too sci-fi.
- Humans will live longer. This might seem like a good thing, but it will get pretty crowded. And where do we get the food from?
And the pros:
- Humans will live healthier, so humanity will be more productive. Previously disabled people can work so less people have to look after them.
- The enhancements can be used for good. (yes, it's the sci fi approach again)

Then that tired, broken look doesn't look odd at all.

And the things Voxorb said could actually make the drawing better than awesome.
Keep up the good work.

But it is quite hard to kill them when you're on your own.
And when you are frozen or something like that in multiplayer, that's no fun either. You just sit there and can't do anything.
As Bllzzu said, Blizzard made Diablo II more challenging with more people. I'd like to see your idea combined with Blizzard's. So when more people join, monsters gain more diverse attacks to increase the experience.
Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure such a thing has been mentioned before...

For all others out there, a couple of days ago temperature dropped to -18 C, or about 0 F around here.
Ahh yes, the ancient struggle between cootie covered hamsters and gravy covered penguins. I never thought I'd see it with my own eyes. And an advice to the others here, it MAY get violent, from what I've heard. Eyewitnesses say that they barely could escape...
And another thanks for all those welcoming speeches :).

That does seem quite familiar, but I guess that's the old testament.

At least the guy who beat us was Dutch.
And thanks. Advice is always useful, especially when you're new.

Thanks, I read it the other day and I thought it might be interesting. And it indeed is Shatterer
Shisou:
The Nephalem were weakened because of Inarius. He didn't want Lilith to make an army to rule all of Sanctuary, the Heavens and the Hells.
After Sanctuary's discovery, they all agreed to let the humans do their own business. But they didn't make them Nephalem again, even if they could, so they still could keep an eye on them. Everything humankind has accomplished, it has done so through studying, training and a little Nephalem birthright. They're just being nice, the angel's way.
On the other hand, I'm quite curious if the Heavens know that the Nephalem's full powers (at least more than is shown now) still lie in the current generation. Lilith was able to unlock them, maybe when the demons win their fight against the humans they can unlock those powers as well. Then they have Nephalem to fight for them, now that's something I don't want to face.
