We will bash every angel and demon we find if that means Sanctuary will be safe!
So I don't think it's impossible that we're going to fight angels.

She wanted to use the power of the Nephalem to stop the conflict and rule everything, if I'm correct. -

Yeah, I should have pointed that out a bit better. Here's a bit of lore history:
[spoil]
At some time during the Great Conflict one of the angels (Inarius) was sick of battle and decided to create a little world of peace called Sanctuary. This was a world cloaked from both the High Heavens and the Burning Hells by means of the Worldstone.
Here, both angel and demon could flee to experience peace, and that's where some mated. The child of this union was called a Nephalem, some hugely overpowered humanlike being stronger than angel or demon.
Inarius saw this creature and altered the Worldstone to dampen their powers. After many generations their powers diminished and that leaves us with the humans we know today.
[/spoil]
But I have no idea what happens when humans die in Sanctuary. Or how new angels or demons are created. I think only the priests of Rathma (necromancers) know the answer to that -

I mean, people in the sanctuary talk in english ? why not change the whole language at the same time ?
We don't know if the people talk English. If it would be another language then we wouldn't be able to understand, so everything is translated to English.
Say you're reading a story about an African village. The dialogue will probably be in English while the natives talk to each other in their native tongue.
I do believe that Sanctuary's Heaven will be a beautiful place, in contrast to the not so happy Burning Hells. What we do know that there are Angels who are not happy with the existence of humans, because they are demonspawn. I don't know how many angels agree to this view, but if there are a lot of them this might end in a giant 3-way battle between Sanctuary/Heaven/Hell.

I haven't read the Sin War trilogy or any other lore stuff. This is only my personal opinion combined with scraps of knowledge I gathered on this site. -

Do you mean the faded green/white?
Because those seem to be

From what I can understand from the code it creates a table with that background color. -

I like where this is going. -
Jan 18, 2010Shatterer posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceThe only thing that really distracts me is the lvl-up bar. That's probably better in the username-thing, since it seems a bit redundant in the postbit. To me the post-bit should show you the posting habit of the user, not when he gains a new level.Posted in: News
Still, cool system and I'm quite anxious to know what lies ahead. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Here they are again, btw:
Secondly, where did the giant boom boom take place? Did the anarchy actually start in 2084?
Also, I guess we're walking across the North American wasteland, or at least starting there?

So there's a couple of things I'd like to adress. First, there's a typo in the intro: A few governments did there best to try to police the chaos but few have been even remotely successful.
EDIT:

Now I do agree that one extra summon wouldn't hurt. A permanent ranged summon could work, as would a buff summon. IAnother possibility is a skill that temporarily strengthens summon damage +X%.
Curses could work, but I don't know if that's what they want the WD to use. It would make it possible to take 7 skills wholly devoted to summoning, and I think they want the character to be involved as well, not stand in the back casting curses and providing buffs.

I guess we're all excited to start this RP, but we might wait a while so new members can get interested as well.

I'll find out my summoner's name. It's probably Shatterer, since that is my standard name, but variations might occur if the original was taken.

I really like the Indigo Plague of Toads (giant chap)
I also like Firebomb. I don't know why, but that giant, exploding ball of fire just makes me happy.
I also like the Fetish Army.
The rest might be Zombie Wall, Spirit Walk, Locust Swarm/Acid Cloud and maybe Poison Dart. If there's a trait that enhances fire skills I will probably go that route with firebats.
Basically it's wall/army to stop the flow of enemies and then bombard them with poison and fire.

Basically, each site that will sell D3 has had pre-orders for ages. This does not mean that there is any release date whatsoever.

A ranged character really wants a melee helper to stop the flow of enemies. Having a moving melee minion helps, since you don't have to Vault back and cast 'Shadow Thing' each time you meet enemies. It creates a forward momentum, which is a good thing. From a gameplay point of view a pure ranged character benefits more from that style.
Now for a more trap oriented character the moving helper is much more annoying, since it moves the enemies away from your traps. Still, she wants a way to briefly stop/distract the enemies to lay some traps. Perhaps she wants them to walk to the shadow, triggering a trap in the way there.

I don't feel the Demon Hunter should have a minion. At least not a permanent one. She strikes me as someone who wants to do the job alone, not one who relies on others to reliably get her attacks in. She could use shadow fiends to briefly distract the enemies.
Personally, having a fat tanking minion would make her look way to much like how I played my necromancer. Just let everything bash away on the golem and hit them from afar with bone spells. While I enjoyed it, I really hope this is not the same for the Demon Hunter.
The Wizard's familiar seems rather normal actually, since a lot of magic users have familiars. Also, the familiar isn't targeted and doesn't receive damage from enemies so I see his use being a catalyst for your spells, especially when thinking about runes. It doesn't seem that this familiar is a way to control enemies.
So all in all I would like to see some kind of distraction skill, possibly with a summon. It would be static, have a 20 sec duration (or something a bit more balanced) and possible have a melee attack. Rune effects could be ranged attack/larger enemy acquisition radius/movement (for the builds that want it)/damaging aura/stun upon death.

A static shadow that attracts enemies would be the best, in my opinion. With runes it might have a melee or ranged attack, or a fiery aura.
A clever reader would remark that I've only been talking about traps with the Demon Hunter. Thinking about the ranged Bola skill, a moving, melee minion could group them together nicely. A static minion would do the same thing. A ranged one, on the other hand, would only spread them out more, since a pack of enemies would divert their attention to you and the minion. That could work with multishot, I guess.
All in all a moving minion could do more harm than good. You could argue that runes would make the minion fit your style, but then you really need that rune before the skill becomes actually useful. I don't think that's good design. Using a static decoy to attract enemies would work better, since you can actively direct the path you want the enemies to go.

WD has really good crowd control, it seems. This and horrify will help the rest of the team make some kills.
