I know that it hasn't been tested in 4 man to my knowledge at least but EU did a 3 man GR 112 with zmonk, firebats wd, and a lightning wizard. Why is that important? Well it doesn't have a zbarb which mainly brings ignore pain 50% DR and pulls mobs. If you ran the same composition for 4 man but put in a Shadow DH, the DH could run Numbing Traps passive for 25% DR and run Sentry - Guardian torrent for another 25% DR on top of inner sanctuary which is where the Monk, DH, and WD would be standing anyways. Monk would be using the sanct rune to be immune to control impairing effects which again is normally a benefit of IP. Wizard in this particular case would be the one that would aggro mobs seeing as they really only do damage during the initial portion of their archon with 4 Tal's stacks and lightning COE cycle. This particular set-up would allow for 1 zdps and 3dps. 2 of which would be focusing on killing the RG. The party would receive the wolf companion buff 15% multiplicative and 15% additive via Mark For Death as well from the DH for the duration of the rift. It is definitely a more fishy set-up compared to having a zbarb but if you want to potentially talk about end game pushing on an open map, its a possibility to not rule out.

Of course its been tested. The 2 dps one heal monk setup you refer to is a nightmare to play. Much easier to fish for a good map and have barb who can pull so you can kill elites - remember elites take 2-3 stops to kill high they cant die at the first spot or you lose so much progress if you stay there and kill them. Then at 50% or 75% progress when you get a conduit you have 5 elites grouped and its Gratz.
Do you think we just say well 2 supports sounds good so let's play that? LOL not tested.
So you are saying well if its difficult to play then it won't be the best. But since zbarb is easier then its ideal? If you are already fishing for the best GG map, how is it really that much different? This brings up previous seasons where you had Slowball Lightning DH meta for the entire season and the final week you had 2 Hydra Wiz take over Rank 1 yet it wasn't ideal. It was more dps than Slowball pending you had the right map, density, etc. Bottom line is if you are fishing for rank 1 maps and want to push the limits something that is a nightmare to play may be what pushes the group over the bar. It's up to the individual group to decide how they want to attempt their pushes. The meta won't be truly decided until a couple of weeks into the season once everyone has had more time to test different comps especially since the majority of the player base plays seasons. And even at that point, you could have something new come up last minute and steal the thunder.
As far as my not tested comment, I said to my knowledge. I haven't personally seen any videos of anyone attempting it. That doesn't mean that it hasn't been tested either.

Something that I noticed not sure if its a bug or what. But whenever you have UE and Hellcat Waistguard equipped using Grenades - Tinkerer rune, you will get 7 hatred per bounce of the grenades. So instead of using Evasive Fire - Focus, you swap to Grenades - Tinkerer rune. I believe it has something to do with the 2pc bonus on UE because it doesn't work on any other set. This will give you pretty much permanent hatred for Multishot to spam. In this particular case having a roll of 5 bounces is better for speeds as well. This also buffs your discipline as well on each bounce.

Wow, this sounds pretty insane. I tested this quickly and couldn't replicate it, what else did you have equipped there?
I think this was patched with the 64bit update because it no longer works on my end either. It was definitely insane though. I didn't have anything special equipped just normal UE, FnR, DML, Yang's, Hellfire, Hellcat, Wraps and Cube was Dawn, Cindercoat, COE. The only skill that was different than normal was the generator. Wish it still worked though, it was a pretty awesome unique buff.

Greater Rifts are getting a facelift with monster A.I., density, etc.

Clearing a GR without dying gives an automatic extra gem up.

Some details about Challenge Rifts as well.

posted a message on PTR is now up.

Just a heads up. PTR servers are now up. No patch has been uploaded and made playable yet but if anything that means we should start seeing everything come up later on this week.
