About the bug now, while it's not a big problem it does kinda annoy me.
So what if it's a scripted event? They should at least make it so that it stays open after you complete the crown quest rather than opening in the wrong direction, which feels unnatural.
Dec 10, 2011Oh stfu already.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
IF we get a release date we'll all be happy.
IF not then that doesn't raise your credibility at all, you're still gonna be a random guy with random connections with blizzard that no one believes you actually have,so cut your trolling out.

YES you will
If you ever remove it the game gets uninstalled immediately after
no you wont. the disc's from the store will act as if you downloaded it directly from blizzard. you will not need a disc after installation is complete. and once you add it to your bnet account you can forever download it from them so you wont ever NEED the discs again. if you have the discs and you want to install it faster the second time, sure.
lolz. You just got trolled so hard.
that was a nice laugh

Aug 10, 2012Of course this post will come with many many people saying "They said inferno would be hard, now its nerfed to the ground!"Posted in: News & Announcements
Well.. I agree somewhat, but when you read between the lines, I think what they are actually saying is this:
"Look guys, inferno was a bad idea - we meant it to be a flat always hard difficutly, we found out that wouldn't work in testing, but we knew we couldn't remove it because people would have a fit if we removed ANOTHER feature. A side problem was our original intent for END GAME was inferno - well with inferno not working out how we wan't we no longer have an end game - but we're working on that. Here are some changes to make the game play more like it should with out the concept of inferno - stay tuned for more changes to totally fix the game"
Thats what I read. I think the part of me that wants to see a hard game is sad at how easy a time I'll have on my monk in Inferno - It will be face melting hilarity.. but then.. thats what D2 was and I loved it! I don't need 5 min champ pack fights - I need fun REWARDING demon melting fun. I think this all sounds like a good first step to that goal.
The Weapon Damage on i lvl 61-62 increase thing is AWESOME. Not only will it make finding weapons more exciting, it will make crafting weapons worthwhile.
So, this is a great first step - I feel like this hits the nail on the head as far as a "look the game is messed up, we can't make it perfect fast (ie in 1 patch) but we are doing these things to make it as good as possible in its current state"
Bravo imo - looking forward to playing again.

You mean grinding for items... just like Diablo 2... Diablo... Titan's Quest... DarkSpore... once you reach level cap and story's end, isn't what the game is about?
I'm sorry, when did Diablo 3 become an MMO with content updates and extensions, on a 3-4 month basis? Where is the subscription fee you pay for such developments? Not to mention, even if this WAS an MMO (which seems to be the implication by many with the whole "there is no endgame" or "endgame is dead"), you'd be still waiting at LEAST 2 more months for any new content.
You are a better player now than you were when Diablo 2 first came out. Experience and Skill did make the game "easier" for you. Blizzard, or any game company, cannot design games around "the elite" players only, because that is not a profitable market (no matter how much you try to claim otherwise, it isn't).
OT: Glad to hear about many things that are coming out for the game. I just hope at least Patch 1.0.4 comes soon, like end of July/beginning of August time-frame. I don't wanna find any more pre-buff Legendaries!

-Act 2 invisible snakes (make them vulnerable to crowd control while stealthed)
-Lacuni leapers (make them vulnerable to abilities while they perform their leap, they're currently invincible while in the air)

Act I Inferno: Farming - "A Shattered Crown" Quest Guide
I made a quick video guide on how to farm Act I Inferno, on the quest “A shattered Crown.”
All the chests, dank/ dark cellars, goblins and rare mobs are random and sometimes you can get really lucky in one four minute run. I think this run was pretty typical, and you should expect this kind of loot while farming this quest on inferno. My magic find was around 65%, not sure about the other party members.
Step 1: Go to “Public Games” Inferno difficulty, Act I, Quest #3 “A Shattered Crown”
Step 2: Use the Way Point, travel to “Cathedral Garden”
Step 3: Run in a clockwise rotation around this small area searching for loot, end back at Way Point (this area has a small chance for a rare spawn)
Step 4: Use the Way Point, travel to “The Old Ruins”
Step 5: Travel from the Way Point in a South West direction to check for the first possible Cellar location aside the ruined building (typically a chest, goblin, or rare mob spawn that you may or may not be able to kill)
Step 6: Run out of the cellar(if it spawned here) and head north to the pathway, head west along the short road to the next house and check for the other possible cellar location; sometimes both cellars will spawn, (this location will typically have a treasure hoarder that is very easy to kill).
Step 7: After checking for both cellars, Town Portal back.
Step 8: Initiate the quest in town, and run north to talk to the Black Smith. Follow him to the Cellar of The Damned where his wife Mira is located
Step 9: Clear the trash mobs in both rooms and proceed to finish the quest by killing Mira
Step 10: Save a couple seconds by using your Town Portal, then leaving the game
Repeat Process, whole thing should take about 4-6mins per a run.
With the amount of items you get, you should be able to auction some of them off for well over 100k gold each, while the other stuff that no one will buy you can disenchant or sell to a merchant for gold.
Good luck farming!
May 15, 2012Posted in: Lore & StorylineLeah is the child of Adria and Aiden, the Dark Wanderer. Adria became transfixed by Diablo, and allowed herself to bear his mortal child. That child, Leah, would be plagued by visions through out her life, never knowing their true origin -- or her own.
She is not evil, she is who and what she appears; a young woman caught in the tide of a gruesome war. She does, however, carry within her a seed of Diablo's essence. When this fragment is reunited with the greater portion contained within the Black Soulstone, Diablo is able to take possession fully and completely, manifesting himself as the Prime Evil.

In fact, I think they should give the beta testers another sigil that has a leaky eyeball on it and says "dry your goddamned tears" just to rub it in the faces of the babies that will complain about every little thing in the game.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

You're complaining about spoilers in a thread called cinematic spoilers?
I'm not complaining, just stating I should have avoided the thread. Spoilers are supposed to be hidden using their tags. Making spoiler statements is the same as if the OP would have embedded the images into the thread instead of using links.
