I'm guessing everyone knows Blizzard's decision with loot distribution. If not, here is the basic idea - each player in a game sees their own drops, and not the drops of anyone else-. . But what if you are playing in a party, and really want an item your partners don't know that you want? (example : the last piece of a set you're collecting) The item could drop for someone else and they could sell it to a vendor or trade it to someone else in another game. I would really like to see the option for "Item Drop Notifications", or something along those lines that pop up in the corner of the screen every time a rare item is dropped. That way, you could politely ask your partner to give you that item or trade for it. Unfortunately, these notifications might distract you while fighting.. so they could pop in five seconds after your final attack, or something that signals you are not fighting a monster.

If you think little "pop-ups" would be annoying you could just turn them off. If anyone else thinks this is a good idea or has a reason it wouldn't work out, please reply.

Great suggestion, I'm quick to admit I'm not pleased with the direction Blizzard is going in a lot of other areas being both a D1 and D2 fanatic, that being said the player specific drops to encourage cooperative play was a great idea and I think your suggestion would enhance that addition a lot.
