Diablo 3 is unfinished game, therefor comparing it to anything is just stupid. Diablo 3 has a lot of potential but I m afraid it will pass a lot of time until we get the product we deserved.

I've tested pretty much every build except sacrifice build (will do that too when I get the gear with CD on summon zombie dogs) and by far this is one of the most fun builds I've played.

I recommend trying one, it's fun!!

Relax friend, don't get too excited.

It depends on gear and play-style.

If you have amazing gear and want to play relaxed then this build is for you; however if you like to kill things MUCH quicker but have the risk of dying more frequently then that's your choice.

This build is not viable with bad gear it would take too long to kill anything.

    Well said,
Also, too many people are really horrible in Diablo 3, mostly copying builds from google, copying others and sadly not trying anything by them selves. I've tested pretty much every build except sacrifice build (will do that too when I get the gear with CD on summon zombie dogs) and by far this is one of the most fun builds I've played.

I will upload a video tonight (my upload is really bad) when I go to sleep so it should be on YouTube in the morning. I had luck to get 7/8 reflect damage groups in a row so you will see how it works and how fast or slow it is for you.

@Grabbler - Rather then trolling the forums, try to read the post first. I've been doing MP10 probably before you entered MP2, so take my suggestion and try to be constructive or rather don't post. If you need hours to kill something then you are probably playing the game completely wrong.

@GamersTales - Gonna make the video now :).

Hey all and once again thanks for constructive comments. I ll try to answer each comment / question.

*So basically why I like this build ?

Like some of you said, plague of toads has a bit low damage but on the other hand, let me explain how it works.

When you pets are pretty much invincible (except when standing in desecration), plague of toads is really handy. First off, you will ignore any mortar, walls, lasers etc cause simply you can stand behind some wall and spam the elite group without even seeing them.

Even tho this is not too fun (standing behind the wall holding one key), it's efficient. You probably know how annoying it is to constantly get spammed by walls, mortars etc.

Also, keep in mind that plague of toads is AOE skill which makes all the elites that stick to each other get damaged at once. Spinters, firebomb etc are awesome but keep in mind that spinters are single target skill while firebomb split damage on each target so when compared to plague of toads it really is very very similar.

    *Down-side of the build

Only down side I noticed (if it can be call down side) is with the mobs which are moving too much like shamans, those fat big elites etc. It's not a big problem really since most of the time they get stuck into some corner by your pets and you simply own em.

Also, this build will make you vary a lot with your skills since you won't be able to spam bears as you would want to. Bears for me are only short burst damage, used to own non-elite mobs (which works awesome) but when it comes to elites it's not a main skill, even tho it's one of the most important.

Also, one of the down sides of this build is group play. When you play with your friends, this build is not too efficient since in party you are suppose to offer as max damage output as possible and your pets are simply useless there since most of the time you have some barbarian or monk in your party, so I wouldn't recommend this build for party play.

    *Reflect damage

When it comes to reflect damage, it can be a problem when it comes to bears but why are we forcing bears so much ? I can see people opening threads with "HOW to kill elite mobs with such high damage output" and my answer is, simply don't.

Reflect damage or any other problem it game has to be dealt in a proper way and if it doesn't work the way you want it, simply change it. Plague of toads with 130K dps are owning those groups, killing them fast while I m staying with full HP including my pets as well.

    YouTube Video

Since am at university now, I ll record a video for you guys to see how this build works for me, so expect a video today.

    Best wishes,
    Alex

The reason why reflect is not giving you problems is simple: low dps.
Not just base dps, but also build. You can spec it to provoke pack + pvt, gruesome feast, hit 300k dps buffed and then hit reflect pack with bears, watch how 3000 life regen per second is doing absolutely nothing because you die in 1 second (about enough time to replenish 3000 life and lose your entire health pool to massive reflected crits).
Note that to survive reflect with rain of toads, you need moderate loh, defensive stats and just tough minions to keep elites from moving around too much so you can actually hit them with spell. The whole problem here is how to survive reflect when you use your best attack: zombie bears.

I agree though that replenish life + fierce loyalty is the way to make summons invicible at mp10, which is really tricky without that passive and life regen.

Hey there and thanks for the constructive comment :)..
Even tho I agree with some of the stuff you said, saying that 130k DPS is low is not a true fact, even tho like you said getting more is way possible.

What people misunderstand in Diablo 3 is that not everything is DMG.
Damage is measured by how much sustained DPS you can make in certain period of time, not by the number shown under your character profile.

I can probably make more damage with 130k DPS then you with 300k, simply because I can stand and rain on anything that moves or stand still since I can take as many hits as I want, just because I m constantly full, same as my pets. Also keep in mind that I can stuck elites anywhere I want (stairs, doors, hallways etc) which give me a huge advantage and I can simply stand behind the wall and use rain of toads. As you probably know, rain of toads is the only skill that can bypass obstacles, which makes elites with walls and mortar completely useless.

All in all, try the build out, you will love it. I'd rather have 130 - 180k DPS and do stuff completely relaxed then beg Gods not to see any reflect damage :)))...

    Kind Regards,
    Alex

Lately I've been playing around with my WD, came to a conclusion that HP regen is probably one of the most important stats for WD.

I''m only at 130k DPS with soul harvest since I dropped some DPS for some other stats like str/dex and HP regen.

My gear is not finished yet but even tho, I m farming MP 10 without dying or without having my pets killed ( they are always at full HP).

Reflect is not a problem as well, doesn't touch me at all, it's simply amazing.

Depends of the passives I use in certain moments, my HP regen without passive is around 2500, 2800 per second with passive.

Try it out and try to copy a bit of my gear, it's not too expensive.

posted a message on Simple Loot Solution
I never said everything should be BoP. What I said was this.

    - Since you never get an upgrade for your own class anyway (almost never) and I played over 800 hours and 99% of my items are from AH (just as 99% other people), adding only few BoP items would solve this thing.

    - How ?

Well if you would get a BoP item drop, it would mean that items is for your class and it's a possible upgrade for you. That means that if you get a set BoP item, it will have stats for your class and set bonuses for it. So for example if I get Zunimassa set part for my WD, it would mean that stats rolled on it would be awesome for me.

95% of the items would remain normal, I m just thinking about this to make the players more happy with loot they get, other then getting something ubber cool, then selling then buying the item for that amount for your class.

You know, eventually people will get sick of constant selling/buying just as I did. I want to kill 500 elite champions and get something I can right click in my inventory (equip).

    Just my thoughts tho.
Also reason I m not saying this on official forums is because it would never be implemented even if everyone agrees on that. Blizzard can't profit on it = so NO. I just want to hear your thoughts about it, that's all.

posted a message on Simple Loot Solution
Only way to simplify loot and make people play this game is to add BOP items in game (Bind on Pickup).

    - How ?-

    - All BoP items that drop would be for your class, which means every BOP item that drops has to be for the class that has looted the item.

    - BoP Items wouldn't be so common when it comes to drop rate but they would guaranty you an upgrade for yourself or close to that.

    - How would this help ? -

Diablo 3 is loot based game. With it's current state as it is now and current failure that like it or not we have to agree on, something needs to be done until we get some new content, PvP and such.

I m a Hard Core player. I used to play countless hours clearing Act 3 and when I say clearing I mean killing every elite pack in 5 - 15 seconds. Since patch 1.0.4 but it was pretty much the same in 1.0.3. loot is really horrible.

I m not one of those people who like to complain, that's the fact covered by an argument that I have played over 800 hours and beaten inferno like 2 weeks after game release, the best of all, with WD, half-broken class back than.

So once again, BoP items would guaranteed for your class.

Give me your thoughts about it, really would like to hear your opinion.

posted a message on Blizzard is becoming too obvious.
When I do something in life, I usually do it because I like it or love it, unless I m forced to do something I hate.

Now, after reading such threads every single day, on every single forum, my question is, why are you here and why are you playing the game if you don't like it ?

This constant comparing Blizzard to other games / gaming industries is just getting really annoying and lame.
I really don't want to sound rude but I m really sick and I m sure everyone is reading the lame threads every fucking day.

If you don't like the game just stop playing it. Christ fucking sake.

Why are you discussing the system and trying to find solutions when you have no clue about what system will be like ?
When did we start commenting something that we didn't even experience or see yet ?

"Worried PvP will be one shooting"- Do you seriously think that Blizzard is retarded or something ?

I suggest you to wait for the release of PvP patch before you actually try to come up with a solution or criticize it without even having a basic clue about what it will be like.

    Some calculations:

Expected dmg to Player characters per hit with r% all resistance reduce, a% armor reduce and d% dodge where r,a,d are in [0,1] (0 for nothing 1 for 100%)

Assume an expected dmg output H of a hit (can be computed out of min/max dmg and crit chance), then the received dmg is

(1 - a)(1 - r)*H (nothing random here). If we call H' the actual received dmg, then we have

    P(H' = (1 - a)(1 - r)*H) = 1 - d, and P(H' = 0) = d (bernoullie random variable). The expected dmg for one hit is then

    0*d + (1 - a)(1 - r)*H(1 - d)

    Some values:

    a = 0.5, r = 0.5, H = 500k (quite large) d = 0.3, then we get for the expected incoming damage

    87500

Now this expectation does not tell us anything as the resulting damage would be either 0 or 125000, but if we repeat this experiment (same hit everytime) we can actually get something out of the expectation. So assume we want to execute the hit n times, the expectation is then

(1-a)(1-r)H(1-d)n (sum of single hits, linearity of expectation)

    Examples

Assume we have 40k hp and we want to survive 10 hits, so we would like to have

    (1 - a)(1 - r)H(1-d)10 < 40000

If we keep a,r,H , we have

125000*(1-d)*10 < 40000 => (1-d) < 0,032 => 0.968 < d, which was quite a large dodge rate. But it is not suprising as a 125000 hit would still get us killed, so we needed some high evasion. Going into a more realistic scenario, let H be 100000k (i suppose 500000 expected dmg per hit is quite large ? ), we get

    (1 - a)(1 - r)H(1-d)10 = 175000 expected dmg for 10 hits, with 50% evasion 60% reduce (both types) we still expect to receive

80000 dmg and still can expect to be dead after 10 hits. 70% reduce (both types) goes to
45000 expected dmg after 10 hits, going for 60% evasion results in
    36000

    What is left?

Now, if some opponent has a high attack speed the game would still have quite short duration (as long as the one who is attacked does nothing ;) ). The expected dmg on hit H is not the dps value, it is computed out of the min/max dmg and the crit chance (other modifiers for pure dmg on hit available that are not included in min/max?).

Reminder : The hitpoints can be replaced by effective hitpoints (considering lifeleech etc.) but the calculations remain the same.

    Imagine that:

    G = Get
    A = A
    L = Life

    Now in the following example:

    (G + A + L) = Get a life.

    Some calculations:

posted a message on Profiles reveals obvious botting.
What's the point of banning them when they are making hundreds of $$ a day ?
You will ban them, they will open another account for 60$ and continue with it.
I don't think that banning can resolve anything. Every single bot makes more then 60$ over 24 hours period, so I m pretty sure those fail fag botters couldn't care less.

They need to implement some sistem or simply remove Gold Find gear since it's anyway only used by botters.
