posted a message on Why people are so obsessed with COSMETICS?

    Fantasy.

You're your character. If you imagine him/her as a stealthy assassin then you don't want to run around in massive full plate armour. You'd most likely go for something light and simple. If you don't care then fine. This is actually a system you don't have to use. You could also ask team mates not to use wings/pets if you feel those things creates too much lag when progressing.

To some, design is important, to others functionality is enough. In fact, you could run around with a sticky figure fighting sticky monsters in a low graphic world. Items could just be stat boosters. No visual effect what so ever. No shiny stuff nothing. It would work and you'd most likely would not care. Maybe this would even make you happy if it reduced lag/what not which has a negative effect on progression. Which is fine.

Diablo 3 (and most other games) isn't only designed to be effective and performance wise super great. They're designed to look appealing and in those boundary's perform well.

I love transmorging. To me its equally important how the character looks as it is how it performs. That's the way I play. Luckily for you, cosmetics have nothing to do with progression and as said, you could just ignore it. It do have huge value for other people though.

posted a message on The meaning of TurboHUD and why it is much more than just a hack

You're not forced to use it. You're suposed to play the game without it. In sports you can analyse the hell out of the information gathered after a game but you're not allowed to use extra equipment when practicing the sport. Don't do it in Diablo either......

posted a message on Conqueror for stash space? Too hard for casuals

I don't play much due to work, practice and other daily grinds but when I do, I want to maximize the effort and be super effective. I'd call my self semi-hardcore. Just recently reached my personal goal of para 800 which was such a relief :)

That said, I don't think that "hard" is the problem. I'm leaning towards it being seasonal. If you're hardcore and play a lot and effective but you do it in none season, then you'll have to waste time on seasonal to get the extra stash space.

The requirement should be independent of season.

posted a message on Legacy of Nightmares theory craft builds

I'm very hyped for this set! Made a "true" static monk for it :D No idea if it is awesome or not. Keep in mind that I play HC, therefore the build is aimed for that.

Mostly done for fun but, you know, could be fun to play :P

EDIT: Aaaaaaaaand of cause I'm only using 2.3 items because none of the others are out but you get the idea!

Nah, this set is to be redone again. Even if it's 500%, Legacy of Nightmares will be better unless they will nerf 800% for every ancient to less than 40-50% which is not likely going to happen. This inna is probably worst iteration of the set ever, creativity on pair with version from vanilla. Both this and swf have this strong smell of out-of-ideas.

I know what you mean, I smell it as well but hey, when PTR ends we will know better. Let's help good ol' Blizzard out :)
800% per ancient might also be a bait so that people try it out in bigger extent then if the numbers were lower. That way they get more dataz and we'll probably end up with something balanced.
Also, full ancient with decent stats is quite time consuming to farm :P

Ok i know most people have probably already completed the seasonal journey, but from season 3 my highest GR solo was about 35 ish and i never got one conquest ( all on HC ), to season 4 i completed a GR 60 solo with my witch doctor and completed 3 conquests :D. Ok not all of it was done on HC this season ( stopped at conquerer ) because Blizz gave a nice warning about the stability of the servers.

Anyway just thought i would say i'm looking forward to next seasons journey and hope they don't just recycle this seasons quests and rewards.

Also Congratulations to anybody who can beat GR 60 Solo, my hands ached so bad from skill spamming, that you that surpass me must have lightspeed fingers :D

Good job! I have a hard time forcing my self to push for gr60 solo, mainly because I'm such a chicken but I'm getting there! Did 53 yesterday and it went really well. I think gr60 is a great accomplishment and really hope I can manage that on my HC monk :)

For anyone saying "solo X is so easy" you might think so but just leave it out of a thread about accomplishment. Instead, word it something like "I managed solo 70 with a okay margin, which made me really happy which I Imagen you were as well after your clear :) Good job! Lets beat higher levels than that though! You with me?! :D". Keep a positive tune^^

posted a message on Future of gold

Some interesting ideas in here! Making gold important would surely increase the need for using goldfind items but that leads to me flooding my bank with even more stuff. I have to level extra characters just to have room for backup gear in my hardcore frenzy... Sad part is that those charrs also need backup gear....................

I really like the über Malthael idea, so much D2 nostalgia with SoJ selling!
