Jun 27, 2009duffman posted a message on Patch 1.13- The Progress Update We Never Got?Posted in: NewsQuote from name="Talic"s Demise" »Blizzard would have never pulled a stunt like this one or many other offensive things 10 years ago. But because of wow and all the success they think their stuff don't stink. Look I'll play the patch and diablo iii. But as a company I've lost all respect for them. After all is us fans that keep the company going we shouldn't be treated like this. This Bashiok character needs to start phrasing things a little better and throwing a couple of "I'm sorries" would not hurt either.
yeah i have noticed that as well. they are getting cocky and very "top secret". plus, the hints they give us are always well received, buts its really condescending and taunting. just give us a straight answer for once. Bashiok constantly responds "oh, but that would ruin all my fun!" or "I dont know. what do you think?"
i mean, diablo 3 and starcraft 2 have been anticipated for a long time, and blizzard is very "secretive" about everything. what if theyre just gonna blow us off? what if its not worth it?
but i'm probably just over-reacting lol. we've all been waiting so long. -

Jan 2, 2009duffman posted a message on The Diablo 3 Rainbow T-Shirt Surveyhow much would it cost though? that's my concern - i would buy it if it was cheap, but i would waste a lot of money buying it in some "collectors edition". dont get me wrong, i love the shirt and think it's hilarious, but lets face it- who here is going to wear it anywhere besides blizzcon? i doubt anyone here has the guts to wear it to school or in public.Posted in: News

I'll definitely be a part of this. Hopefully we can start it with a better building plan though, as one of the problems with the last server is it started as just a bunch of people randomly building everywhere, and by the time we finally got a plan a lot of people had left.

Edit: CHANNELS! THANK YOU BLIZZARD

I REALLY like this. it makes a lot of sense. +1

Keep in mind that bosses are going to be a lot more interesting than they were in D2. Blizzard said themselves that they want to make bosses more like a Zelda boss, and from what we've seen so far, there is going to be a lot more happening in a boss fight that just a simple attack/dodge scenario. Couple that with the number of skills and rune variances, I find it hard to believe you will want to just use one skill.

Argggh. and i thought it fit perfectly. still, the character tron somewhat fits adam.

same thought here. I like how they're encouraging "melee wizard" what with certain skills, and now with runes

If anyone can add to or fill in holes of my theory, that would be great. Or if you have counter-evidence that disproves it, I'd like that too. I don't go to church or anything, so my knowledge of the bible is greatly limited and simple. If you're a bible buff and saw TRON, mebe you could help?

Oh ok nvm, i thought they were just random drops. What are the materials to make a rune? cuz that could be a way to increase rarity

7 bounces is such a large number, and if you're spamming it, its pretty much extremely OP. If this indeed is how rune levels are going to work, then I think that the rarity of the last level rune will be equivalent to the rarity of a HR in diablo 2.
Rune 1 = El
Rune 7 = Ist
Edit: I was just thinking. If some runes will have extremely low drop rates, then will we be able to unsocket a skill and use the rune elsewhere? It would be a shame to waste a level 7 rune on something you later regret.
I seem to remember in a panel that the Jeweler (or blacksmith?) could unsocket gems in items... Will he have a similar ability regarding skill runes?
