I would totally do this, unfortunately I am 19 year old noob. No credit card, despite having the cash, and would rather not go through the effort anyway. Yes, I'm lazy too.
Very nice :3 I'll have to make my build on there, for some reason I had a hard time finding this >_>

Well, I plan on playing a petless Witch Doctor, and unlike some other peoples' rather optimistic builds, I get the feeling that unless I'm packed with lots of CC and utility, I'm going to get swamped. Grasp of the Dead, Horrify, and Spirit Walk seem like a MINIMUM for the pet-less Witch Doctor, as something like Mass Confusion has too long of a cooldown to be reliable.
Spirit Walk is a decent panic button, but on harder difficulty levels, even if it were somehow reduced to a 10-second cooldown, that is still going to seem like an eternity on many occasions, which is why I espouse taking Grasp of the Dead and Horrify (the former even when attempting a 'Spirit' build).
Utility will always be a must for all classes - not even the Wizard can get away by building pure damage - but I've spent a lot of time with the WD's skill calculator, so the problem seems particularly acute here, since a petless Witch Doctor doesn't even have amazing tradeoffs in terms of damage vs utility like some other classes :P.
Man, that's like the polar opposite of me. I always loved having a huge wave of pets to defend me. Problem is, it obviously leaves you defenseless when you get swamped. I was planning on a very pet oriented build, tho I might switch it up halfway through to try out yours
Initially my thought of the Wizard was a glass cannon...all out attack, burn em down from a distance before they close the gap.
Now after watching a few videos, the 'battlemage' idea looks really fun. Spectral blade main attack and close range aoe and snares with defensive spells.
I'll have to do a quick run through of the spells for the Wizard again. I was on the fence between a mage who freezes everything and then burns it down, to straight up battle mage. Then again that's the point when I start channeling my inner barbarian.
So you've got your wizard. Shooting beams out everywhere like it's nobodies business, slicing and dicing everything in your path. Feeling pretty good so far?
Now it's act two. You have access to runes, but which path do you go down? Do you want to go on a power trip and maximize damage to cut down the legions, or change up your game with ways to stun, snare, slow, or escape?
Myself personally, I want to have a nice balance of survivability and escape power. Maybe a sort of run and gun approach. Might sound strange for a wizard, but I'm just going with the tools available. Now my question is what will you do? Keep in mind I'm not completely asking what your build is going to be, more what your approach to the coming challenges is. Not everything has to be about high damage explosions everywhere.
I hope they add some way to auto-loot gold. I don't really care what the mesh, texture, or special effects look like. I just hate running around picking up junk (but I hate leaving it behind even more).
Surely just running over it isn't that much of a pain. Remember the other Diablos? D:
Playing every other blizzard game. It's interesting going to back to the older games and realizing they're still really fun. Oh, and indie steam games have been really good at keeping my mind off d3.
I'm on the fence between Barbarion and Wizard. I like having unstoppable force, and on the otherside of the spectrum, I like channeling my inner sith. Oh and magic swords. I like magic swords.

I really have no doubt diablo 3 is going to be amazing like the first two. I see where you're coming from about the differences, which, mostly the look of the game, seem to be an issue with a lot of people.. The style of the game looks awesome in my opinion, I'm only curious about the new mechanics. My expectations are high, but I try to keep a lid on it so I don't ruin the game for myself later on.

Edit: Read the description. Feel like an idiot. I'm curious how he had a thorns effect on him though.
