posted a message on Blizzard announces new game: STARCRAFT 2!!!
I think what they're focussing on, is exactly what the hardcore starcraft players are after, and wouldn't take anything less than. And that is flawless, lagless, fast-paced, balanced gameplay, nuts to all the new-age ultra-pretty stuff. Have you guys been in a massive c&c3 battle on a computer that cost less than $4000? Strategy gets very difficult, it gets chopped up big time.

Personally I won't be disappointed in the least if the graphics stay as we've seen so far, because you will be able to focus completely on gameplay.

But still, I would have far preferred Diablo3 anyway. Or even Tacocraft...

Yeah, nobody is 'informed', they're all just taking guesses, so that if they are right, they get more publicity. They know as much as anyone that isn't blue.

One would hope they would understand that with all the Blizzard employee's decapitated, there would be no hope of future Starcraft adventures.

Misterdman: You have the most terrible english of anyone I've met, and I've been around the world! However, you probably correct. I mean, all other things aside, they would have to be suicidal to announce anything other than a starcraft title in Korea.

Also, what you are saying about Diablo 3, is true from the scrapped Diablo 3 project, who knows if they'll even stick to the same storyline this push.

Sithdiablo: It is possible to be a big fan without being retarded, they aren't going to risk giving it away before the 19th, a few of the people anticipating the game, seem to have anticipated themselves into stupidity, I for one am leaving this thread alone until the 19th.

when i looked back at the first image from day 1, the background seems to be different from day 2 (they were not the "claws" of diablo); it was some sort of caves or wings or something, likely related to warcraft. [picture 1]

i believe the backgrounds are the clues: as i posted in an earlier thread, looking at the glowing (glyph-like haha) question mark you can see all around it some sort of picture... [picture 2] i don't know yet and i'm not really sure but they look like any of the following:

    worms
    monstrous faces
    small hands with claws

and they're all going for the glowing (glyph-like) question mark.

PLEASE read the previous posts before posting, I don't know how many times people have "Discovered" clues in these pictures, but it was sorted out on page TWO of this thread, thats right guys, 8 pages ago, all this was sorted out, go read that please!!!

I'd bet 3D, I can't imagine why they would go back to pre-millenium blizzard game-style.

Previous posters were correct, all they are doing is showing the next images in the timelines as they go, and the backgrounds are merely relevant to the game they are showing. So tomorrow will be "Starcraft, 1998". And if you all will kindly direct your attention to page 2 on this thread, you will see that "Manisto" came up with the diablo background theory initially, not acid.

    Okay, see the image below?

    http://d2.xhost.ro/images/Diablo-2.jpg

I think it's pretty obvious that this is the image seen in the background of http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day2.jpg. You can clearly see the claws both to the left and to the right.

I'm sure the background of http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day1.jpg contains a clue to a Warcraft wallpaper as well... :)

Wow you're good, and right, and good. MAN I want diablo3, if diablo3 is announced on the 19th, I'll get the new box cover tattoo'd on my back.

posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!
    Quote from "PlasticComplex" »
April 27, 2007 - Blizzard has updated its job listings with several positions that will be working on a next-gen massively multiplayer online game (MMO). The publisher/developer is seeking a Lead Engine Programmer, Lead Tools Programmer, and a Lead Technical Artist. Begin speculation…now.

The term "next-gen" is typically used to describe consoles, and World of Warcraft has been rumored to be heading to the Xbox 360. Of course, Blizzard's VP of Development Itzik Ben Bassat told Empire Magazine a few months ago that the company's next MMO would not be another WoW. The Lead Engine Programmer Blizzard is seeking will be in charge of developing an entirely new engine for this next-gen MMO, and a port of WoW would likely use a tweaked version of the existing engine.

If my reading comprehension serves me correctly, that is suggesting that Diablo3 could be an MMO, and possibly on a console... if this is true I am going to be very put out.
