Wow this looks really awesome. Great work from Blizzard, definitly my favourite so far.

Some good ideas, i like the demon possesion thing.

Blizzard will want to make it a really fast kill so that the game can continue at the pace they want it, especially if its a MP game and other guys are still fighting the same beast. So think quick fatalities.

i would think some sort of telekenetic fatality would be cool. Perhaps using the physx in the game, for example: monster uses telekenisis to move a huge boulder to crush you to death, or even better to use a sharp object to skewer you with, pinning you to the closest wall.

Also imagine if monster grabs you in one hand, crushes you, making your full plate mail armour seem like tin foil and throwing your paralysed body into your party members knocking them from there feet.

Also would be cool to see a poison death, watch your guy writh in agony while the poison makes its way through the blood stream. Perhaps add some choking effects in there or something, lol.

Na i dont think it should matter at all. They need to focus more on gameplay than worrying about realism or making a huge pretty world to explore IMO

LOL, was just thinking, this is probably the first game im actually excited about dying in!!

Ah man, that siegebreaker scene was awesome.

I think what would be really cool if they would have quite a few different death animations and perhaps fatalities in some instances like with the siegebreaker. Also imagine how cool it would be to see the monsters that just killed you do a shrilling victory scream of some kind. Perhaps they could even make it so that they stab at your body even after you dead, just to kinda give that true demonic effect!! would be leeeeet

i do agree however that to play with buddies we shouldnt be limited to having to play online. Some people are saying that LAN is old school and why should Diablo bother with LAN. Well thats just a pile of BS because if you decided to stop being so arrogant and realise that not all countries have super fast and cheap internet in this world!!

Oh and there will be D3 mods for LAN whether Blizzard want it or not

Ya thats exactly what Blizzard wants. But its not what the fans want. All gamers like a diverse game where there are multiple options for how you want to play. If theres like 8 guys sitting in one room all they want is the ability to connect with each other using one of there computers as the host, not a server the otherside of the world!! Where i stay our lines are shaped & slow and we get these ridiculous caps of like 3gb a month for a good portion of your monthly wages. I dont buy this bullshit that Blizzard wants this utopia where gamers can easily connect to a fast battlenet and have the time of there lives etc etc. It's all money making BS!!!
D2 sold millions of copies regardless if it had lan, so whats the problem. Theres still gonna be tons of people playing battlenet!

Why take away these simple functions in a game when its not necessary!??!?
Because you know why, theres always some greedy asshole at the top that just can't have enough! thats why!!

Remember that if LAN is added by a hack, then it is most likely going to be visible by scanning the game or something. So I'm guessing that a new system would have to be made for almost every new patch of D3.

Unless this hack is for personal use, which wouldn't affect Blizzard alot, it is going to spread. And when Blizzard gets their hands on it they can simply block it in the next patch. Since they will have complete access to all codes it shouldn't be that hard for them.

Well it seems u figured out that it was blizzard i was refering too.

No matter how much "they" try its still futile, someone will simply hack that patch too.

I'm not saying I support piracy, im completely against it and would like to buy a copy of Diablo 3, its just Blizzard assumes that not having a LAN option will prevent piracy where i believe it will have the opposite effect.

We live in a world where if its digital its hackable!! So your attempt to remove lan is futile because someone will simply hack it and make a way for lan.

All you have done is cause more reason for people to pirate the game. U should always make a game as diverse as possible, let your gamers have more options. As soon as u limit people thats when you loose sales.

Well i'm really dissapointed. I'm from South Africa and internet over here is really a luxury. Our internet over here is way behind most of the world and its just slow and you pay your behind off for it. For us connecting to a battlenet server over in america or europe is really a hopeless exercise if you dont have the best lines over here.

Bashoik if you do read this by some miracle please take what i said back to Blizzard and tell them how arrogant they are being, just because americans have cheap fast and available internet doesnt mean the rest of the world does. Blizzard you should be providing for all your gamers not just the fortunate first world ones. LAN would of been the one way me and my friends down here could of really enjoyed diablo 3 and starcraft 2. Now what!?!?! I was ready to purchase all your games but now i am hesitant.

Maybe the USA is ready for battlenet and capable but you guys arent thinking beyond that.

Bashiok i hope u listening and you can give me a good reason why blizzard is denying less fortunate countries of enjoying your games to the full.
