I'm assuming that leveling will be harder in D3 than it was in D2 though, it was a joke before, you could have a guy at a decent level (85+) easily in a day. If they do make it harder, then yes, definitely keep the respec idea. but I do hear what you are saying

posted a message on please adopt wow economy/currency
I hated spending countless hours trying to trade the items that I spend 5 minutes getting.

WoW was freaking awesome about this, I wouldnt mind similar aspects of it.

I liked the BoP and BoE system, although not at first. but I realized that it kept out the flooding of the really high end stuff so getting a rare item would always be worth something.

The auction house....man this was it! I could finally put up all my crap I wanted to sell, and go level! In addition, it created stable prices that were determined by the usefulness to players!

people tried to make D2 like that (jsp etc) but nothing quite compared to the AH in WoW. so yeah, those are my thoughts, if you like soj trading and hate BoP and BoE then you are a noob and dont know how to play D2 or WoW. sojs are olllldddd school (if you have played recently uniques are basically always worth nothing so you dont ever get good unless you duplicate or get freakishly rare items with perfect mods), and gold is easy to get if you dont spend it all on dump blue's and stuff when you are leveling up. The game is not that hard with greens when you are just leveling (WoW)

    oh my god...

trying to trade is the single worst part about dialbo. In WoW you can go level while your loot and stuff is being sold, and it gives base prices for thigns that the players determine based on how useful it is, whereas when you get a rare item, it could be worth nothing, or possibly more than you could ever spend because there are so many random mods in diablo.

anyways, a stable economy is vital to this game's success, spending half your day trading and having a bunch of characters full with good items sucks.

The way this was dealt with in WoW was a propper gold system and also BoP and BoE items (which, I will admit, did suck at first but when you get used to it, its not bad) so that the really good items didnt get over flooded and there was a standard currency that anybody could get, but would just have to work for it, as opposed to hoping to find a super rare item or something to get anything half way decent and sell-able

I think the anti-hacking will be a lot better, I haven't heard of any problems with WoW and I'm sure that D2 being an old game is the reason for the limited security.
