posted a message on 100-110 Skills Per Character - Very Likely
All this skill tree stuff is way over done to begin with...... Its far to easy to get your character half way and discover that you have used the points all wrong. At that point its better to start over with a new character rather than taking a lame character up to max level. People care far less about detailed character trees and more about functional game play.

I have always liked the idea of making it hard to find a spell and after a certain level I can learn a spell but after that, I want to simply add to the spell level as I wish. I do not want to have to build up 4 of 5 different sub spells that I will never use and stuff like that. Dont get my wrong, I like the concept but as far as looking through a bunch of stuff on a screen and having to flip to page 2 sub para 3 and stuff like that takes away from functional game-play.

As long as a game has a good mission/goal that makes sense and the graphic are at least average, I will play it for a long time. If all is good and the function/use is frustrating, I will quit in a few days.

After thinking about it more, 1ord i3eans I think you may be right that Alchemist is too similar to witch doctor. And Dimebag, you're right, we NEED a knightly class.

Many people have suggested an evilish knightly class. I think its also possible to see an Angelic knightly class, sort of like the Tyrael brand.

So, maybe this is a more likely lineup:

Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Illusionist, Angelic or Evil Knight, Ranger

Oh, and as for the Blizzcon announcement...I'm betting that they announce the Ranger first :P

I also like the idea of the evil knight.. I think as a bonus, an evil knight should be less detected by other evil things (due to is similar evilness) as compared to normal characters. I would be great to have a 25% or so less detected bonus just to help things along. Say he could collect set items to add to his less detected by evil bonus.

I guess it would be better to say un-noticed, as evil would detect other evil just not pay much attn to it.

To even this out you could make a evil knight more easily detected by non evil/summoned monsters.

The evil knight could travel behind his party when its likely to encounter a non evil foe and travel up front when evil is afoot.

    What ya think.

I also like the dark knight idea.. I think that it would be cool if the dark knight character (as a bonus) would be "less" detectable(due to his similar evilness) by monsters as compared to a normal character. Maybe even be able to walk right up to lesser monsters and not be noticed until his first strike.

un-noticed by evil bonus of 25% how does that sound?

As far as killing demons is concerned, a chaotic evil character would kill whatever and ally with whatever as long as it furthered his goal.

posted a message on Φ Diablo I Moments
I remember the first time I tried to lure all the monsters on lvl 15 to laz's chamber and take a screen shot. I got pretty close to doing just that and then made a portal and escaped to town. The next fellow who entered the game didnt heed my warning to stay our of t he portal and spent the next hour tring to get his items back.

In general I don't want to see rushing in D3, not because I absolutely dislike it but because hopefully the game is balanced and vast enough we won't NEED to kill Baal hundreds of times as our near only option to level.

Amen to that...... It is all going to depend on game ethics and we all know how that goes. I am sure that there will be rushing on d3 but hopefully the curse of high level noobs can be avoided by private game with players who share your ethics.

Thanks for all the replies.. I have always gone by "Keep". I have done my best to limit my character names and plan to use this one on d3 as well. I have been out of touch for a while and just recently found out the d3 was going to happen. I am fired up about the release and cant wait to start leveling.......

Youtube has a good sneak peek into the d3 barb. This is going to be awesome

Hello, I am a diablo old skool player... I have been around since d1 was first released and eagerly await the release of d3. I have always been in one legit guild/clan or another and look forward to meeting some new players and maybe joining or forming a d3 guild/clan.

    Take Care
