I still don't get why people get so surprised by Diablo's change of appearance.

Guys, 20 years have passed in sanctuary and the new trend is skinny. Diablo always follows the trends.

Is something wrong with the comments? My comment just got repeated two times and I can't edit/delete them (but this one I can).

If someone can delete them (and this one as well), please do it.

Arthas got a statue and it is not even Warcraft's Anniversary. If the surprise is the Diablo's statue really feels like Blizzard found out about the anniversary yesterday and then said "Oh... Anniversary... Right, I ... knew it. Here, take ... this ... chocolate! I bought it this morning to celebrate! Hurray!"

While I do agree that we haven't got much information for some time on the development changes around runes (that is, IMHO, the main reason for the delay) and this is a good sign of the release date, the point that if it was a release date then it would be incredibly powerful to announce it at the 15th anniversary it just too compelling.

You can always think that they may have not done it due to the holidays, so it wouldn't have the staff ready to make the official announcement, but I think this is not so important.

It may be some lore info, action figures, new business models or something like that. Maybe even a movie.

posted a message on Will the D3 Release Date Announcement be a Full Month or More Before Release?
I really hope they ambush me with an already purchased copy in my house with the computer already on, the game running and the account ready to log in just before I find out the game is already out.

Yes, it is nice and a simple straight-forward system.

But it does feel strange, not only by making a wizard make strong spells with a big bad mundane axe, but also by making the high-end wands, daggers, staffs, etc do comparable damage to the high-end swords and axes. It does feel very strange to see a barbarian stomping Diablo with a giant Axe and a witch doctor stabbing him in the back with a tiny nice looking ceremonial dagger doing about the same damage.

Early game will be fun to see a lot of wizards walking around with an axe or a maul since these common items should have a lot more base damage than the others. If they don't we should also see some dual-wielding barbarians wearing wands. :)

My mouse and my hand are glad that I am a click and hold person.

That's some of the things that haunt me when I try to play Diablo 1 for fun. It's quite incredible how playability evolved in the last 10 years.

posted a message on Australia before US?
SC2 gave users the possibility to download the game one week before the game was released, but the installer was locked and it would only unlock in the international release date (which happened to be the 10:00 PDT, I think).

I don't expect anything different for D3, so you could possibly have access to the game, just like anyone else in the world, but would only be able to install it when the time was right for everyone else in the world.

posted a message on forum purpose after release?
    Quote from Daemaro

Well I didn't personally do it, the owner of the site at the time did. I just happened to be around. Lol.

Still though squeezing them for money probably would have landed us on their shit list and we wouldn't be part of the fansite program. The site was made to talk about a possible expansion at the time. Everyone getting to play Diablo 3 is worth more than all the money in the world in my opinion. :P

I would definitely not give it for free. If they promised me a free copy of Diablo 3, I would think about... If they threw in a free action figure, I would be happy to give it away. If they gave me a free ticket to next Blizzcon I would be like "WTF! Take the damn domain already!". :)

But seriously, not even a "thank you" card, not a "I'm the Blizzard's biggest fan" free T-shirt. That feels sad... :(

posted a message on Collectors edition, worth it?
Brazil is walking towards becoming one of the most expensive countries to live in... I don't find surprising that europe's and US's tourists cities commerce are welcoming brazillians so much nowadays. It's pretty common here for people to travel over there to do some shopping due to the absourd high prices in here. There are some places in Rio de Janeiro that have a higher rent than the most expensive commercial areas in NY. I remember when the PS3 was out, it was cheaper to buy a ticket to Miami, buy a PS3 and come back than to buy it here.

So, when you think about if it is worth to spend 40 extra dollars in the CE, think about people who have to pay about 300 extra for it.

It's definietly worth 40 extra dollars.

I hope here in Brazil it really DOES cost extra 40 dollars, because SC2 CE cost about US$ 350 while the common version did cost the same US$ 59. That's simply ridiculous.
