posted a message on What does it all mean?
It seems to me Blizzard is chartering on new "game play ground" by the runic system they have in place for D3, I'm really excited to instead of stacking crit rating or hit rating, I'll be experimenting how to make my fireball "reach a wider audience".

Like the DK in WoW for example, there's not one way to play it, there aren't even three ways: Theoretically there's SIX solid ways to play the DK (excluding hybird and experimental builds) Blood DPS/Tank, Frost DPS/Tank, or Unholy DPS/Tank.

So imagine how much variety we'll see in our Barbarians, Witch Doctors, or Wizards!!

I think treasure chests are a relic of the past personally, I much rather just see unique and rare monsters drop the loot; Chests reward you for being at the right place at the right time, mobs would reward you for being at the right place, at the right time, with the right firepower.

Sweet lord, does 2 genders per class mean anything to you people?

Anywho, you do have a point ryanmax; They are just remakes, we will have a remake of a ranged class and some kind of hybrid later on.

Also, in the first post im 100% sure the "wizard concept art" is actually WD Concept art.

Well keep in mind that as far as we know, theres a civil war going on in Hell between Belial and Azmodan so this makes perfect sense, this was also eluded to in the tale of the Dune Thresher vs Scavengers; Like in other games, guess you can sit back and watch them duke it out and then pick off the survivors, or just jump into the fray :)

posted a message on Meteor's and Diablo's Teeth
Ah see that's what I thought, they are objects of power and possibly a the reason of possession but I'm even more curious as to where they are coming from, I doubt they are literally Diablo's teeth; which means that they are being manufactured somewhere by somebody in order to possess and empower.

I wonder if Angels can fall victim to "Diablo Teeth", if so: Is THAT why the heavens will tremble?

Perhaps you guys have already talked about this but whats with that meteor that falls inside the cathedral Cain is in?

I was looking at the concept art and I have a theory its an angel whose arrival is at the beginning of Diablo 3.

Futhermore, I was thinking the angel could send Cain on a little quest to have him retrieve SOMETHING from the Tristam cathedral, which then prompts Leah to give you the quest to rescue his ancient ass.

So for Act 1 I think you start off in and/or around the town of Wortham, where you are told to go to Tristam, and from Tristam to the Tristam Cathedral.

Also "Diablo's Teeth" are in two concept arts with enemies in them, I wonder what they do and if we can collect them for some reason.

So im ready for people to rip my ideas to shreds, go for it

If that is indeed it, it looks an AWFUL lot like Titan Quest.

Blizzard WILL give us TP's and they WILL be rationed, it's just so logical its not even funny, like giving us a ranged class.

As for the death mechanic, it reminded me alot of WoW, when your resurrect at the spirit healers: I guess if something ain't broke, don't fix it.

I think you should be able to pick between any title you've obtained simply because it gets boring to have a million "Patriarchs" and "Guardians" around.

    posted a message on Titles
Something I really enjoyed about Diablo II was the titles attained after completing each difficulty; Seeing that little "Conqueror" or "Patriarch" in your name was really cool!

It's a mechanic that, not only would I like it to come back in Diablo III; But for Blizzard to expand upon it.

I remember back in my days of playing FFXI, you would be awarded a title for the last quest you completed, like dragon-slayer; Only downside was if you completed a small insignificant quest: your previous title would be no more, thus bunny-collector overrides dragon-slayer.

An easy fix would be the one found in WoW, where you can choose your title from a scrollbar

So you could either be "Kragdor the den cleanser" (act 1 quest 1) or "Kragdor the Hellslayer" (awarded upon killiing diablo)

Judging by how the boss enemies already have unique titles and WoW's new acheivement and title system is coming along, I think we might just see some more interesting titles!

Which titles would YOU like to see?

I'd like: Anderonine, Guardian of Sanctuary (Maybe for beating D3 Hell Hardcore?)

posted a message on Location, location, location.
We've all been to Tristam, in a dark monastery, through catacombs to the depths of Hell, across plains, swamps, into dark caves and forests. We've traversed desolate deserts and dangerous jungles, been to Hell, and back; And to the highest mountain tops.

So I got to thinking, what HAVEN'T we seen; and what type of dungeons or locales would you like to visit in Diablo 3?

I personally would enjoy visiting a great roman-like Colosseum where a possible boss battle would take place (and maybe a great place for PvP afterwards)

Or how about a ravaged city for us to run around in combating the evils of hell, like the Tristam of D2 but bigger.

posted a message on What type of monster do you like?
I would like huge, steroid-using, blood-thirsty werewolves for my Barbarian to wrestle with, a medusa-like creature who when you kill leaves behind snakes, I would love the penny-arcade Deepcrow to be somehow implemented as well as that fat persian executioner dude with blades for hands from 300, also the spiky hissing zombies at the end of Resident Evil 4 where pretty freaky too.

    But mostly, I want...

    Manbearpig.

    Im super cereal.

posted a message on Iventory change (bad or no?)
Personally I think its a great change, and I know die-hard Diablo fans will cry out in terror if anyone dare changes the ways of old but I would like to concentrate on killing masses of demons instead of playing tetris with my inventory.

And "custom designed gear for each class" don't know whether that means in terms of look, or class-specific gear but if its the latter, that should make inventory management extremely streamlined.

edit: I doubt that custom designed gear means class-specific, that would mean you could only trade with other Barbarians or Witch Doctors for your armor, which is kinda ridiculous.

posted a message on Durability+death: A short idea
    Quote from "Shiman" »
I quite like this idea and seems to be loophole free.

    Other ideas I have are:
-Perhaps when you die, and collect your corpse your max health and/or mana are reduced by 25% or something (as you JUST died...) this debuf is on a timer for X seconds upon which you fully recover.
-Gold or Random items from you inventory can be taken from the monster(s) that killed you. When you recover and kill the monster(s) they drop your item. In multiplayer games, your items should only be visable for you to collect to avoid other players simply running by, killing the monster(s) that killed you, and then taking your item.
-Slower movement debuff for X seconds after corpse is collected.

    ~Shiman

I like the idea of monsters taking you equipment; Like in the Illiad when the Greeks would quarrel over a hero's armor. Spoils of war FTW. Only problem would be getting your gear back empty-handed :/ Maybe they only steal a bit of your stuff?
