It's all assumptions unless someone confirms it but you can turn to page 332 in the last book and see for yourself.

I would like to note that even though the activity in this thread is very small, it is even smaller than what is actually going on, my own preference of working behind the scenes with private messages and Emails make it look like progress is negligible, but it is not, in fact things are taking shape, at a rate slower than I would have hopped, but still, another piece is now complete and is already available on the site:
    http://worldofsanctuary.freehostia.com/index.php?address=01060205
I would also like to point out that there is still allot of work to be done, and more volunteers are always welcomed.

Excellent, the first piece of The Awakening, Levels 1-9 is now available on the site, it doesn't add much information, though it does have its highlights.

The hell with formalities, I'll just deal with them in an orderly fashion.

    -Thank you serbsta.

-Nice to hear that Siaynoq, first weekend of May it shall be.

-No rush Elfen, just make sure your near completion when they announce Diablo III.

-Chaosinborn, Part 7 Overview and Characters (Overlapping 1) is overlapping part 1 Overview and Characters which I haven't recovered so far, so if you will agree I much prefer having it done first, I just need somewhere to send it to.

-Thank you Megistrate and I'll send you that part within a few minutes.

Thats it I think, this is a great progress no doubt.

The thing with the "its"s is not a mistake, this one I was able to directly copy from the original, you can check it for yourself.
    http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/Moomoo.pdf
I am aware though that certain characters, like modified "..."s '"'s and "'"s are not compatible with Unicode system and show up as a group of strange marks, this can easily be dealt with in single cases but it will take a more extensive scan of the whole database in order to get rid of all of them completely.
And on to the main reason for why I'm responding now, and not responded earlier.
Right now I have about 140 pages to catch up on if I want to pass an exam tomorrow.
So many responses in such short period in such a crucial time is not something I expected and right now I don't have the time to respond to each, so if I'm lucky, I might be able to sit on it later today, if not then it will be about 24 hours from now before I'll have the chance to.

I did not “not follow up” since last time, I've made a huge amount of progress since then, just not in the same direction.
The thing about not saying thank you is probably true though, I'm sorry, just because I don't remember to say it specifically doesn't mean that I am not very thankful.
I have a high tendency of exhibiting anti social behavior, a simple hello and other regular small talk varieties are usually beyond me, please don't hold that against me, especially if it means holding it against the project as well, which I'm not doing sole benefit of myself you know.

Don't think that did the trick, maybe if I'll change the title to "Free High Runes Here", but then I no help would come out of it.

It's a lot easier for a big company to reclaim URLs under US laws, the European Union laws are different and tend to be less on the side of capitalism, last clear example I can think of is that a few weeks ago Google lost the ability to use the trade mark Gmail in Germany since some fellow who's name starts with G and who decided to call his mailing service Gmail, already owned that trade mark long before Google lunched their Email services.
Microsoft for comparison have been known to demolish cases just like these in the US and even demand and receive compensations.

Almost no one has a copy of the D&D editions today, and I don't expect anyone to, I have prepared and edited the parts that need to be transcripted, and the plan is to send each transcripter a part of his own.

I can do with anything that is in .txt .doc .odt .ott formats and so on.
and the Email is worldofsanctuary@gmail.com , long email containing all of the information also count.
I'll send you the monster part if your up to it, I do believe you were the one who got the last time so it shouldn't take that long, just needs a bit of extensive correcting.

For the past 4 years, collecting, cataloging and analyzing Diablo related lore is something I have become most accustomed to.

Only during the recent year though my project began molding into what is supposed to be its final and ultimate version, a complete compendium of every piece of text ever written about the World of Diablo.

Anyone keeping track of my work already knows that the hard part is finally over, at least for me, at least for now, I got most of the content management protocol under control, and the site already contains every possible piece of information that, for those who know where to look, was already available so far, that, plus a few exclusives (The search engine is working!).

All available at http://worldofsanctuary.freehostia.com/ and also through http://diablo.co.nr/ .
Now comes the stage of transcripting and uploading the D&D editions.

Although a lot of the information they contain is either duplicated (From one another) or non original, they do offer a unique, consistent and canon pieces of text which offer a distinct point of view on almost every aspect of the lore of the game, that makes them an integral part of my project.

And so, a full scale call to arms is required, because there's no way in hell I'll be able to complete it all by myself, this time around I'm hoping that with the sponsorship of the site's management, we will have a better turn out.

For those who weren't aware, I did make a previous attempt at this, unfortunately though, not many responded.

To make matters worst, about half of the processed material that was sent back to me was lost , along with the records of everything involving who received parts to be transcripted and what parts those were, but all in all I believe those were about 3 parts so that's not so bad.

This time how ever I plan on making this operation allot more organized, listed below are all of the parts needed to be transcripted, all were split about half a year ago and I hadn't done allot effort to make them equal in volume, they are split by subjects, and I'll try to list how long each of them are.
The good news are that there are allot of repeats within the editions and most of the texts involving the same subject like monsters description or character kits are almost identical, almost being that there are variations that I do not wish to be ignored, any one taking one those parts to transcript after a similar part in a previous edition had been completed is encouraged to copy and paste what ever he can, but it is of the utmost importance to read them word by word and correct every deviation from the previous text.

So how does this work you ask?

Simple, anyone wishing to help out is welcomed to respond here, or through a private message, or through the official Email address for what ever is concerned with the site, worldofsanctuary@gmail.com , and request a part to trascript, I'll do my best to take into account special requests like a particularly long or short part, or a certain subject, though like I said before, it will be a waist having two people transcripting the monster stats simultaneously.

Once a request has been maid, I'll send the part to that person and mark the status of the part on the list below at "Pending" or something like that.

The objective of the transcription is taking the image files of the D&D editions and rewriting them into something that I can work with, editable text files, Word documents and their ilk are also acceptable, and also very long Emails.

The main thing to remember here is that the transcripts must be identical to the original texts, if you see a segment where more information can be added, a better form of the sentence can be produced or maybe even a simple spelling mistake can be fixed, please don't, one of the main goals of the project is to stay as true as can be to each origin by its own, so as to present the exact information that can be derived from each source, nothing less and nothing more.

Important!, if you have been given a part to transcript and think that your not up to it, or at least not all of it, or is unable to continue for any reason, please notify me so that I would be able to give that part, or whats left of it providing you do send me back what you have accomplished so far, to someone else.

Once a part is completed and sent back to me, it will be marked as "Completed" on the list below and uploaded to the site.

If anyone is up to taking a second go at a different part, don't be shy to let me know.

Once a part had been completed send it to me and I will do my best to upload it to the site as soon as possible.

That's it then, all the information I can think of right now that's needed to be written in order for this operation to commence, now all we lack is volunteers.

Here is the list of parts to be transcrpited:

*Lost - To save the work of transcripting the same piece more than one time, this marks a piece I know I gave to someone, I have no way of telling if it was ever sent back to me so if the person who received that part for transcripting did finish the job and still has the output of it, I would very much appreciate it if it would be sent back to me, if there is no change in its status for several days then it will remove the Lost tag.

*Need reviewing - This piece was modified (Added words, missing punctuation marks, missing sentences and so on.) during the transcription and now it needs to be examined closely, parallel to the original text in order to fix any deviation from it, the person who will receive this part will also receive the transcripted text that needs to be fixed.

*Overlapping - This piece has some information which is identical to the information in a piece previous to it on the list, and so will not be available for transcription until the previous piece is finished.

*Pending - This piece is now being processed by someone and will soon (I hope) be available on the site.

*Completed - This piece is now available on the site.

    The Awakening:
1 Overview and characters - Pending
    2 Spells - Pending
    3 Monsters - Pending
    4 Tristram - Completed
    5 Levels 1-9 - Completed
    6 Levels 10-end - Pending
    Diablerie:
7 Overview and Characters (Overlapping 1)
    8 Spells (Overlapping 2)
    9 Monsters (Overlapping 3)
    10 The keep - Pending
    Adventure Game:
    11 Adventure game - Completed
    To Hell and Back:
    12 Introduction (Short) - Pending
    13 Act I (Long)
    14 Act II (Long)
    15 Act III (Long)
    16 Act IV
    17 Monsters (Overlapping 1)

On to another issue, my site is still not compatible with Internet Explorer, and I would like for it to change, so if anyone here has sufficient knowledge in HTML and CSS and thinks that he might be able to fix the lay out, let me know.

I believe the the images, the CSS file and one HTML file taken directly from a pages source, as to produce a clean HTML result without all of the PHP and the need to be able to run PHP files should be enough for some one who knows what hes doing in order to figure out what is the problem.

It seems like the only one in this entire thread who still has his thinking cap on is Explorer, unless I've missed someone else saying the same.
The same would be of course, whats the point?
Don't get me wrong, I do not question the status of Medievaldragon amongst the management of Blizzard Entertainment, nor do I fault his talent to acquire inside information that would otherwise be inaccessible to anyone else.
But I do seriously doubt his ability to relay that information back to the community.
Lets face the facts, he did acknowledge on multiple occasions that he knows more than he can reveal, and it would take a huge amount of wishful thinking to suggest that if we do send him as an inside man, then something would be different.
If Diablo III will be announced then it will be announced, we didn't need an inside man to tell us when StarCraft II was shown, all it took was someone with cellphone camera and about 6 minutes later the announcement was already on You Tube.
And though that one man was all that it took, it was also only what it took, there was, if I am not mistaken a BlizzCon that preceded the last World Wide Invitational and as we now know, no amount of inside people had mounted up into revealing any information about the future announcement of StarCraft II, at least not to any information that we were aware of.

Go ahead and post it, I don't mind, but I don't think that the Diablo Wikia is worth the trouble, may be if they had more focus on certain aspects or more man power but until Diablo III gets out I don't think they will reach enough active editors to rise up from where they are.
As for my site, its at http://sanctuary.hostwq.net/ for now, but not all of it and the favicon version got a little screwy, I need to find a better host.
As for help, much appreciated, but not right now, I want to finish the modeling of the page creation itself and then complete a few sections before I start handing out pieces of text for scripting, found out that part needs a bit more organizing to begin with.
If you know PHP how ever, if any one how knows PHP and is willing to help, I could use a program that will automatically create a page according to the site map, link that page, put the relevant context into it and send the context in paragraph segments to a MySQL database, too lazy to ever do that myself.
