Ya im getting pumped watching the edited parts, not so much the unedited. And I agree, outdoors can be sunny but the dungeons look like ass in the current d3.

I dont see it requiring any more strategy than something like god of war did, but Id rather have d2 killing speed than god of war anyday; but I think thats being ruined.

Well if they gave everyone in counter-strike halo shields and forced you to unload a whole clip to kill a guy alot of people who enjoy counter-strike would complain, radically changing the game is bound to leave some people unhappy.

I for one love CS but cant stand halo, same thing might happen to d2/d3. The fast speed of diablo 2 was what made it enjoyable to me.

    Quote from "Shisou" »
Potion spamming was a flaw of Diablo 2. No one can genuinely deny that they don't think so and that the potion system was perfect.
Sure the orbs are a bit uninspired and maybe a little lame, but you have to give Blizzard credit for trying.

I thought it was perfect, healing whenever you want is a good system as it keeps things fast and in no way irritating. If you died it was your fault and not the games fault.

Honestly what was wrong with it, I liked random spikes in difficulty; it kept the godlike characters yet threw difficulty at you to overcome. The definition of d2 as I see it. Instead we get enemies who slowly whittle you down and debuff you while you pray for an orb, it may as well be a mmorpg at that rate.

Anyways I cant wait for starcraft 2 now, with blizzards new inventive ideas were gonna end out with something slow paced where your units take longer to kill which apparently creates more "strategy" in all your guy's eyes.

A monk would be cool if he had different kungfus, like the snake style, eaglefist, manta, monkey fist. Would take a heck of a lot of animating though.

I hope they simply mix it up a bit, I didnt really have a problem with act 3's jungle randomness it still looked good and everything. Same with the desert in act 2.

Ugh, please no useless crafting items please. I hate collecting things like charcoal and crap just to craft, thats why I liked diablo 2's crafting system.

I have diablo on my psp, it really does suck. The warrior is a boring class since he really has nothing, and not aiming spells blows.

posted a message on redesigning health globes
My problem with it is I liked in diablo 2 how fast you died, getting 1 shot was what gave the game some tension; the "tactics" came from either killing the conviction gloom before they killed you or vice versa using what you had. Now its gonna be mmorpg speeds which is probably what blizzard is trying to achieve, managing your blobs of life while enemies whittle you down sounds rather lame imo and is not diablo, its more like WoW.
I remember twirling through chaos sanctuary with a barb then getting caught in a group and spamming rejuvs as I tried to escape, to say that didnt take skill or wasnt fun is a bit much. Now it seems you wont be able to go through mobs, you'll have to focus on killing 1 at a time just so you can heal. I dont see how it could possibly speed the game up. Anyways I just feel diablo is drifting from the starcraft type strategy to the risk type strategy, in starcraft sure you can think 10 moves ahead but without good reflex or instinct you will suck.

Oh ya and restricting healing will most likely turn out very annoying as it did in mythos, its right up there with actually restricting spell usage by mana, its makes any death you have to it frusterating and leaves a feeling of a cheap death rather than something that deserves a "gg", if that makes any sense.

posted a message on A few ideas
I think most people just find it strange they are taking all the features that made diablo 2 diablo 2 and changing them. Shared loot, open pk, potions, all these things people obviously liked in diablo 2 are now gone. Im sure next they're gonna allow respec.. And while I never pked i know im gonna miss the no holds barred environment diablo 2 had.

Part of the tactics in diablo 2 come from skills, and in an everchanging group I imagine the tactics can switch up a bit depending who your with and what your fighting at the time.
